I have to agree Andy, the 422 is a cracking little tourer, I had one myself a 2019 model. They have really upgraded the interior to make it look very modern and functional. It has a great kitchen area, that L shaped design works very well. The washroom doesn't let the Xplore 422 down either, it's a very good quality finish too. The only advice I would give new buyers would be, don't open the front window it's very heavy and may strain the hinge seal and let water in. Plenty options with the side windows and Heiki rooflight for ventilation. Great review Andy, well done!.
That's a really great layout with the end kitchen and agree that they've really upped their game with that bathroom. I've heard the sprite 2 layout has changed slightly too, not much, but now with a smaller wnd bathroom to shoehorn a full height fridge in. I'd be really torn between the 2 of these models if I was buying again.
Alpine 2 has lost washroom due to fi9tting bigger fridge - down to finish and looks the Alpine 2 wins but for ligbhjtweight high spec and thyat exce3llent kitchen its a closer runner up!!
Our Sprite Musketeer has a similar large panoramic window at the front. As another one of your viewers mentioned, it is such a large and very heavy window that we never open it. Maybe manufacturers are missing a trick here. How about a fixed front window (similar to the Go-Pods)? Would reduce weight, cost and potential leaks. There are plenty of other windows and roof lights to ventilate the van.
makeers such as ABI did seal front window and I think that would reduce leaks and few will open it anyway - we may see that happen again thimngs go round in cycles - thank you for watching
@@caravanindustryexpertandyjenk I'd say a similar layout to the Sprite Major 6 TD, keep it single axle so weights and price can be kept low, I’d go L shape at the front for the adults so you can keep the total length of the van to a minimum while giving the sense of space, bunks and rear dinette area for kids, keep it around £25k and under 1550kg, perfect new family caravan on a budget 👌🏻
agree with you 100%. its a little beauty. i need a four berth for the grandkids though so i have got my eye on the 4 berth quad. i just hope to god there is some german build quality coming through into the basic construction. which i see here in the 1 piece front window{i know you like 3 windows}. but it does make the front panel much more rigid. so less prone to water ingress. heres hoping
Paul the Quad has a good end washroom and build quality is fine though not up to Sprites but more spec - there is a quad review done just needs loading up!

Somebody said the same to me today Kevin but a good tourer for two that kitchen really is practical with great storage. Thanks for comments Kevin

Cracking little vans, agree the only thing the range is missing is an affordable family 6-berth layout

Highlight of the show for us
Trendy name but still a great tourer for two - build not as good as a Swift but still good they just need some family layouts-great to see you three!!
