  • Is free speech under attack in higher education? Have we forgotten why it matters? What are the consequences of stifling open dialogue and debate? In this exclusive Director's Cut segment of the groundbreaking series Free To Speak, host Nadine Strossen delves into the alarming trend of speech suppression on college campuses. Through eye-opening interviews and powerful personal accounts, Strossen and a diverse array of experts expose the erosion of our most fundamental right and its chilling effect on public discourse. This excerpt challenges viewers to confront the urgent need to foster a culture of open debate and intellectual resilience in the face of controversy.

The Netflix and Nike deals were a backlash to the cancellation. It was only because he was canceled that he got those deals.

@@carlscott506 So then he wasnt really cancelled? Cancelled is when you lose all opportunity. Losing a job or whatever (dont know him so dont know what happened to him) is not really what people call cancelled.

@@identifiesas65.wheresmyche95 People who are cancelled do not lose “all” opportunities. They lose out on most. I will agree with you and say he was not cancelled but he was targeted. He was threatened with lost opportunities. So, Nike and Netflix used it as a business opportunity.
What I can say is he got a lot of heat for taking a knee. Doing exactly what a military personnel told him to do, so he could respectfully protest.

@@carlscott506 I guess u missed the part where he willingly gave up on his own opportunities to play in the NFL or at least be apart of a team.. Kap was sour about his career and already an under preforming athlete.. he canceled himself but only from the NFL.
Last thing... u want to take a knee during the national antem of ur own country bc the mistreatment of a group of people??.. but u have no issues taking money from Nike Corp. And their sweatshops?? Give me a break.

Students been divided in size of classes. So it's easier to talk through. Take and discuss with them regarding all these issues there, ok you loose one class of chemisttry maybe but you have a Control of situation and continue that at least once per week till everything been talked out. Hire me , I will teach you how to do that! I know the system of politinformation and politdiscussion too. It's easy!
