Eyup fella. It's good to see you getting out there and getting amongst it. I must have picked up about thirty quids worth of weights on my local beach at low tide by following line that I had decided to pick up and bin so it's well worth doing. We all lose gear so we should all be picking up after one another. I'll sithi after! Dave.
That's it Dave, all snap off at times, it happens. In this case there were other bits along the wall, looked like someone just cut their gear off packed up and left. Like you say, we should all look out for the environment around us that we enjoy so much.
Another top video buddy, we’ve had our best sessions at Amlwch on low water, always slow in the day but a hour after dark it normally kicks off with congers
Credit to you.👏👏👏 You are really putting the effort in.👍👍 Even when you aren't catching, you are still learning. 🧑🎓There's always a positive side to everything.🤔 Thank you for sharing, and all the best to you and your family.🙏🙏🙏 Take care and stay safe.😷🙊
Top many for the effort and dedication you put in where most of us would have packed up and gone home. I was brought up fishing the breakwater from the age of 6 and now in my 50's and I've seen allsorts being caught there over the years. I was fishing there about 20 years ago with my mate and it was packed with holidaymakers. Anyway my mate hooked into something heavy and managed to get it to the side and handball it up. Everybody there was waiting to see what he had caught. It was a hessian sack which flipping stank and when he opened it a load of dead puppies fell out. Some sly git must have drowned them there the cruel bas*ard. I know a 100% if the weather was better you would have caught or at least been able to see the bites. Never rated Wylfa Head under the lookout as I've only caught doggies there and the current is pretty strong. One thing about Anglesey is no matter where the wind comes fro there is always somewhere you can fish. It's a shame about the litter but once they start other people think it's alright and chuck their carp on top of it when normally they wouldn't. It's like graffiti when one person tags a wall and before you know it everyone thinks it's ok and join in. Can't wait for your next outing but I would try and get hold of Gamekeeper John for a session as not only would it be good to watch it will seriously up your views and subscribers. Hope the little one is doing well and I can see him fishing with his Dad when he gets older and making some good memories.
A friend of my dad once hooked in to a large skate, which turned out to be a chunk of carpet 🤣 finding the dead puppies would have finished me off though 😭 I've never actually fished under the lookout, personally really rate the bay, around by the outfall pipe, although the fish all have 3 eyes and an extra fin 🤭 Agree with your comment though, I can't think of a single time where we haven't been able to find somewhere to fish regardless of the weather! I'd love to fish with John. He seems to be a top bloke from his videos. Jacks doing great thanks mate. Hopefully not have many more weeks of freedom until he's allowed home 🤞🏼
Yeah, it used to be a decent spot in the boat, around the outlet. I'll be fishing off there again on day. Just on a day when you don't have to weight your box down for fear of it taking off 🤣
I know Amlwch quite well....I've seen a few wrasse come from that wall. The litter and rubbish thing is becoming common. I really don't get why people feel the need to leave their litter for somebody else to clear away. Keep going as the vids are great and its obvious the amount of work you put in...Tight lines
Another great effort alex.I,m as land locked as you in the vale of evesham nearest coast is the bristol channel two hours away but its all worth it,keeps me sane.Keep the vids coming.
I enjoy it, but there are days where you can spend more time hopping between venues than actually fishing! Can't see me giving it up anytime anyway, almost adds to the adventure 👌🏽🎣
If your back over Anglesey and in the Holyhead area and looking for some breakfast try Relish cafe in valley they’re open all year and the chippy there is also decent.
Newborough Warren, llandfeidn island, used to be good for all sorts, cast out to Maltrieth always produced bass, off the lighthouse side was always doggies, (that was almost 40 years ago though!)
I've fished newborough beach before, but never ventured as far as the lighthouse. If these southerly winds ever die down, I'll check it out! I have a few spots over that side of the island I need to get back to when this wind dies
I fished opposite where you were fishing at that last mark last weekend. Had a great few sessions, it was later though, didn't start fishing til 9pm. Hope ill bump into you at some point. Loving the videos 👌. Keep up the great work. Hope baby Jack and sarah doing well 👍
We're all good here thanks Mel! Yeah the tides were the opposite of what I'd ideally have liked. In fact they look spot on for this weekend. But the Cod on the east coast have me on the fence as to which way I'll be headed 🥴
Genuinely no idea yet Mel. Each time I look, the seas predicted to be doing something different. If its east coast I might venture up Scarborough way for a change. If not it will be back to Anglesey. But looking like the decision will be made about 4am Saturday haha
@The Awful Angler suggestion Ig ive got tides right fish over high tide otterspool mersey for Cod, then head over Anglesey, there's a good few spots that will fish well for multi species high or low tide, Herring, macs n whiting plus congee Amlwch, breakwater and little harbour, also Llanbadrig, chance of same species but also coalie and pollack.
If I go that way, my plan is... Mostyn to start, as its a small tides this week. Maybe squeeze in moel y Don over low depending how mostyn was fishing. Holyhead for the high. Sunday looking at the winds would be north side of the island somewhere. Then back to the mersey for the high in the afternoon. Just not sure if I'm ready for another slow weekend on Anglesey yet 🤣
We fish treardur bay on high and low had some good fish especially in summer its a lovally place we will be in conway at the weekend near ross on sea then llandudno
Great effort mate, very surprised you had nothing from Amlwch but that's fishing, all the hard work pays off eventually and no doubt you've been amongst the recent cod run we've had back home.. all makes up the hard sessions. Well done and good luck on the next one
You're right there Paul! I've had a couple nice Cod tail end of last year. I was planning on heading back to Anglesey this weekend, but looking at these northerlies, I'm tempted to head north east and see what's blown in instead 🤔
I keep looking, seems to be getting better day by day! I think it will be a case of letting the van decide whether we get on northbound or southbound haha!
I'm keeping an eye to see if it calms down again enough to be fishable by the weekend. By South, I mean literally for a couple miles before heading across to Anglesey. If I were headed south then it would be the Bristol Channel, but it doesn't seem to be fishing well as of late. And the winds would make for uncomfortable conditions
People can carry it one way, but not the other, annoys the 🤬 out of me. Like you say, it's no big effort to empty it out at home. Even if it's a bag of old stinky bait, plenty of public bins on the way home.
Farmers will do anything for a cheap meal 🤣 But you're right. I think the tail is boney, but the body can be served as steaks. Only one way to find out!
Absolutely love your Chanel the effort you put in fair play 👍 and just noticed you were on Anglesey 🏴 my home tight lines for your next session
Cheers Daniel! Hoping to spend a lot more time on the island this summer 👍🏼
Great place to fish. Hit the exact spot a few weeks ago and blanked (again) ha ha, great vid thanks!
Nice to hear I'm not the only one Richie, doesn't take the sting off though does it 😅

I'll be back John! Love Anglesey, so there will be plenty of sessions that way this year 👍🏼
Nothing ventured nothing gained cracking little series cheers it was very enjoyable 😊
Glad to hear you're enjoying it Andrew! Do my best to get more fish out of the next trip 🤞🏼
Enjoying your road trip mate thanks for sharing ... take care and tight lines 👍🎣🎣
Thanks Stephen 👍🏼
Nice one, looking forward to seeing the next instalment 👍👍🤠
Thanks 👍
Nice to see someone putting in the effort, family well I hope m8
Yeah all good here. Thanks, Steve. Hopefully not too many more weeks of freedom before Jack's allowed home 🤞🏼
It’s a bloody long way from Derby! Fair play.
That it is Jason 😅

Like a couple of people have said. Once one lazy so and so leaves their carp, others seem to think it's acceptable too
Nice video pal 👍
Shame about the fishing. You can usually count on Amlwch for a few bites.
Better luck with the next venue 🤞
Thanks mate! Under better conditions I would have tried for some fresh bait for the bigguns...Next time 🤞🏼
Hard work buddy, had some nice codling off Mark 2, hopefully the weather be better next time. 👍
I was hoping it would be fit for it, but always next time!

Wylfa head used to fish there a lot good conger . Bass by the outlets try it again mate👍
I've got a couple of vids from Wylfa, lovely mark, unfortunately usually covered in pots these days 😑
If your back over Anglesey and in the Holyhead area and looking for some breakfast try Relish cafe in valley they’re open all year and the chippy there is also decent.
Spot on cheers buddy! We always used to stop at the little kitchen (that was the English translation anyway) but think that's long gone now 😕
Hello. Probably asked and answered before, but I was wondering exactly what the " black" bait is you use. Thanks
Its black lug worm
That's the one, black lug worm, most common frozen worms available in the UK.
Newborough Warren, llandfeidn island, used to be good for all sorts, cast out to Maltrieth always produced bass, off the lighthouse side was always doggies, (that was almost 40 years ago though!)

Haven't heard of lily ponds Ian? But the other 2 are good spots, but head on in that wind though, wouldn't have been much fun!
Thanks!
No problem 👍🏼
Another great vid just goes to prove we all have days when we blank
Exactly Robert, and I've always said I'll be honest. I don't want to just post videos of good sessions, this is fishing at its best, and its worst!
We're are theys places an rubbish bag u got a box there that you can clean out when you get home keep the fishing up m8

How do you do the membership you mention?
There should be a button next to the subscribe one, I think it says choose membership, but there's only the £1.99 option.
@The Awful Angler I can't see one, but then I'm using the phone. I'll take a look tomorrow on the laptop
I had a look on the app too, and couldn't see it either. I'll double check from the laptop later. Chances are I haven't done something right 😅
@@theawfulangler Easy to find on the Laptop. Option just didn't appear on the mobile. All sorted now
Does nobody eat Congers over there? They’re delicious.
I've never known it to be eaten, but I have wondered the same. Maybe when I get one next, a catch and cook is in order...
Once fished a charter with a gang of farmers who took congers back as dog/ferret food. Full of bones from what I recall, hence why not a table species
Farmers will do anything for a cheap meal 🤣
But you're right. I think the tail is boney, but the body can be served as steaks.
Only one way to find out!
