Haha top video buddy, and yes it’s well known that car park is always full of doggers 😂😂😂 Next time your in the area let me know I’ll pop over to say hello 👍
Soon realised why you're there so often 😉🤣 I will do buddy, looked you up on Instagram but wasn't sure if you used the account or not. Was going to message and check in, hadn't seen much from you in a while, was starting to get worried.
@@theawfulangler cheers buddy, been having a few problems with my mental health though December and split up with my wife New Year’s Eve so things have been pretty tough for me lately, trying to be strong and hoping to get out fishing again soon 👍
Sorry to hear that buddy! If you've watched some of my vids you'll know I set the channel up because I was struggling with mental health. And the channel was my way of forcing me out fishing to help get a better balance! Let me know when you're up for it and we will get out for a couple of hours! I've got an Instagram page, drop me a private message on there, don't suffer in silence 💪🏼💙
@GAMEKEEPER JOHN'S SLINGSHOT SHOOTING & FISHING wow John so sorry to hear you been going through it. Now i realise why u werent fishing at Llandudno, i messaged you as i just wanted to meet you in person and thank you for helping me get through last year with your channel. I hated 2022, From 2nd jan 2022 and alway through life kicked me to the ground. Lost my business, job and income over night by someone i know for 18 years, took all the money out the business. Was forced to move end of Jan, my farther died in march,, was involved in a bad RTA may and my best mate on 4 legs was forced rehome him in July. I was a broken man. Fishing helped and also watching your channel, the awful angler and a couple of others Hope 1 day still to be able to catch up with you and and say thank you.
Seriously I had never noticed the erm(s) until you mentioned them. Now I think you should not change at all. Glad you got home safe. You looked knackered in the last couple of pieces to camera. Nice work on the long exposure stills too. Thanks and best wishes from Ireland.
I do a good job of editing them out. Just thought I'd add a little humour in Andrew. It was a long trip, some hard work, but I enjoy the challenge and adventure of it all! Look after yourself 👍🏼
Erm..... pmsl! 🤣🤣🤣 love it On a more serious note, these vids are not only entertaining and informative, they do a lot for promoting awareness of mental health issues and especially that it's ok to talk if you're having problems. Keep em coming 👍 Graaaaaggghhhh! Next vid I watched was Vernes Sea Fishing... he says erm far more than you..... AND I STARTED COUNTING!!!!!
Worth it,👍 even if only for the view on the other side.🌇 Oh, and to see how many times you said "erm"🤔🤣🤣 Fishing as it is🥺😃🥺😃🎣🎣. An honest video.❤️ I enjoyed the video, thanks for sharing.👍👍 Good things come to those who wait.🎣🎣 Hopefully the next video.🤞🙏 Take care and stay safe.😷🙊
New to your channel. Love the vids. You are doing the right thing by fishing hard while young. Never mind the discomfort, get out there. I fished hard and long and still regret I didn’t do enough even though I fished like a lunatic. Look after your dad and best wishes for the future.
The weather Gods were against you from the start on this trip but 10/10 for sticking it out and a massive thank you for all the videos. Still making my way through the others you've put out and enjoying every one. Quite surprised about the dogging, I thought it would have been more like sheeping here in Wales. Already looking forward to your next session, take care buddy.
Haha you are "the erm angler " I suppose if you went to watch the doggers you would be the "the sper...., I won't finish it , great vid again well done
Erm, 10 out of 10 for effort! Shame about the fishing. But on the bright side, you'll have learned a bit 👍 It was good watching either way 😉 My trip to seaforth rocks was fruitless this week, should have gone in the river.
Thanks buddy! January is always pretty slow I find. If it wasn't for the channel I probably wouldn't bother until spring time. But I'm enjoying the challenge. Let's see what this weekend brings!
Glad you got home safe after all that. Thoroughly enjoyed the series. The estuary is better fishing on the flood, too much crap flows down in winter during the ebb.
Great series of videos, shame the fishing isn’t great here in north wales, you’d have been better going to the east coast instead , but you put plenty of effort in , pity the fish didn’t appreciate it, although I reckon the viewers did 👍👍🤠
Back on the east coast this weekend, hoping the efforts aren't in vein. Like I say, I'm hoping to spend much more time in Wales this summer. So slow sessions like this should help lay the foundations for that 🤞🏼
@@theawfulangler plenty of bass about through the summer at most marks , and hounds so you’ll do ok , good luck on the east coast , look forward to seeing the video 👍👍🤠
If you want a beach to break the trip home up - pensarn is worth a go. Easy fishing - drive onto the top of the beach - hard gravel and can fish out of the back of the van if the weather is crap. Any estuary tends to be a pain for that grassy shitty weed after a lot of rain - ruins a session straight away bringing in washing lines of that crap. Erm better luck next time out 👍
Erm I think it's the ripple on the water that does your eyes in. Get it carp fishing when there's a ripple on then look up at the trees and there dancing. Bit trippy.
Eerm what if you don't like cheese 😳 ... So you now go doggy fishing 🎣 ... Maybe I should try that 😊..... Good on you buddy enjoyed your video as usual keep up the good work 👍 And Tight Lines 🎣 👀...👍
Unfortunate with a blank there. Is a tough area to fish though. Better on Deganwy side I think personally on the mud banks, chance of a flounder. Thanks for the video as always. Tight lines
Thanks mate. I've heard the same from a couple of people. But the winds that were forecast would have been right in my face on that side, so I went for comfort instead 🤣
It was a tough weekend for you, probably too much fresh water for Conwy, that's why all that grassy sht on the line. Caught 5 mackerel on the island yesterday just testing a new cheapo jigging rod with some feathers.
Yeah, tough conditions that weekend. I'm heading out this weekend, and conditions don't look too much better. Glad to hear there are still mackerel around. I've bought a squid jig that I want to have a go with next time I'm on the island!
@@theawfulanglerDoesn't look too bad here, big tides and need restock my lug. I've never tried squidding, it baffles me why you don't get them on other gear, I've had plenty octopus. Good luck 🤞
Weĺl i think it was well over erm 20 i counted 😂 well done putting the effort in and i got to say i not long ago came across your channel and think its great 👏 obviously i subbed too 😊 if you ever fancy a trip over here in Iceland around april time when the cod turn up id be sure to take you around a few good marks as im a keen all round fisherman fresh and sea and ive lived here 25 years,i originally lived in grimsby
@@theawfulangler Good luck. Getting out is most of it and I'm getting itchy for it myself. North wind might bring some Herring next few days on big tides. I'll let you know. Cheers!
Have you ever tried Kettleness/Runswick Bay area for conger and cod, used to fish there years ago was not a bad place, for a bit of fun Sandsend for dab between the riptides if tou are low on catfood !
Well done and thank you. You are a stoic. Looking forward to all that you do and share here for us in 2023.

Thanks mate, yeah, erm, long weekend I was too tired to string a sentence together haha
Erm I always enjoy watching, that weed looked a nightmare, but entertaining cheers
Thanks Steve!
Erm the weed died off once the run calmed down. Looking back, probably too much rain runoff to be fishing spots like that really.
Great video again mate, can’t fault the effort that you’ve put in on this trip. Erm a lot of people would have chucked the towel in. Well done 👍
