Even though this game is almost 10 years old, Asura is still one of the top totem pole of "Power fantasy". Make no mistake, Asura is super strong, but his rivals are pretty darn legit too. And probably one of the few game characters can hang in comic / anime book verses (like Superman, Silver Surfer, DBZ etc). Might not win them all. But he will sure as hell make them work for it.

The reason so is due to the fact that there wouldn't be a challenge if everything was a 1 shot sandbox, frankly asuras wrath gameplay proves this, but the boss fights are still so fucking cool.
That scene is like a "journey to the west" a Chinese movie final scene where the bad guy fighting the monk but this time its opposite the monk was the ashura and bad guy is the giant
Augus was your standard battle hound. He liked a good fight and that was it. Yasha was... an interesting rival at least. He certainly came off as cocky at first (As in the first time you fight him), but he did get a redemption arc started almost right after that fight.
This game is and continues to be a gem, it is a pity that it was not well appreciated in its time, for my part I still hope a sequel or a remake being a recent fan

I never played this game but from what I've seen here, it sounds like a game about an angry dad destroying people who call themselves gods with a serious face, destroying an actual god, and punching a few astronomical objects to smithereens along the way, all because they made his daughter sad. The scale of force is totally insane and random ! But this game is a mvp and the design all of bosses are amazing ! Chakravartin the creator is the most fabulous !
This game was and still is beautiful with the gameplay and storytelling. I really appreciate the work they put into this. Can't say that about any current crap in 2021

I literraly flipped when I saw the most epic Boss fights I have ever seen was against the core itself! I flipped and was hollering like a nut! best fight i have ever seen!
