very helpful thank youu
When i double click on header area, header is getting blank, and unable to select any content in header
Awesome. Thank you
There is another challenge for me in the header & footer. My document has many sections and I need to populate header/footer in other sections by just the header/footer in *section 1* .
FYI the Header/footer set to 'diff odd even pages' and has a table of 3 columns, so that this sample header/footer moves from 1st column of table in odd page to last column of even page.
I tried using field styleRef but was not successful. 🙄🙄
When i tried this, it did not keep the same spacing and formatting.
this video is indeed very informative
Much appreciated
How about if you have a header made out of blocks? When I press ctrl+A it just selects a specific block, not an entire footer.
Thank you
You save my thesis manuscript 😂
Thank uu sir
thanks mate
Boy howdy thanks a ton
Hello, can you explain how to import content of multiple files into one, while maintaining the header information of each imported file? I have to create a portfolio and import a resume, a cover letter, and multiple other documents. However, each document has their own header, but when i click on Insert -> Object -> text from file, it omits the headers.
I think after you import a document, need to select Section Break (in the Layout tab). Then when you import another document, the Header and Footer be imported too. You can even change the Portrait or Landscape mode.
Hi! I have a footer that contains three drawn text boxes, two of which contains images. Ctrl+A and copy paste does not work with this design. Neither am I manging to select all of the footer content and copy paste. Do you have any recommendations for my situation? Thank you :)
That fact you have objects (primarily the text boxes) in your footer means that the Ctrl+A approach won't work. This is because graphic elements (such as text boxes) reside on a different document layer than the text within the footer. The bottom line is that the only way to do the copying of which I'm aware would be to create a macro to select everything and then paste it into other documents.
