Seemingly, in mine eyes, this has maybe served as pre-pro to what might be your ultimate, eventual populous format: Loud Vs Crowd Voice Vs Noise Voice Vs Voids …something like that Edit: Would love to watch you read, in the funny voice, injustices bestowed upon regular musician folk’l by the Gibsons and Fenders and SSLs and ad-infinitum - watching you go active-agro on them. I understand, it may be counter to your non disclosures. But, a man, a musician, an artist, can ream, uhm, dream

A cease and desist letter is nothing more than a request. I've received many of them and they all went in the garbage and nothing ever happened. If you're not infringing on any actual patents there's nothing they can do.

It’s extremely stressful, and the only ones who profit are the lawyers.
Came for the Gibson dunking, stayed for everything else.
I know this comment isn't directly related to the guitar shown, but that guitar sound that you used in the B-roll is absolutely phenomenal. Can you make a video demonstrating just that? I rewound it back to the ten minute mark just to listen to it again. Fucking deadly!
Lovely rig Glen!...and great job on the licks!
I would name the new model the “endetta” you know since he can’t use the letter V. So lean into it with a Vendetta. Lololol
😂
I'm not a guitar player myself, but that guitar IS pretty sweet. I like the looks of the headstock, too.
If Gibson spent less time suing they could save on lawyer fees and charge less for their products thus people being able to buying more of their guitars instead of seeking similar items
I was never a huge flying V fan anyway...but I could like this one!
Whats the name of the song Glenn plays at 13:30?
Nice Video as always btw :)
Wanting to know, too
Hey there. My husband watches your channel, was listening about Julie being on the ICU in Windsor and I wanted to help out. Long ago I was a ER nurse from the Detroit side of the Bridge so I value great medical staff. Sending my thoughts and prayers for both of you.
Thanks to Gibson for being legal douches so this guy would be inspired to make something even better! It really looks very art deco - totally cool! 🤘🏻🎸😎
Late stage capitalism turning into corporate feudalism.
One and the same.
You got me with your email on this one. I legit was worrying slightly that Glenn was upset I was infringing on his copyright or something, lol
What a beautiful work of art from an insanely talented dude. I'm a drummer but i want one of these
Dude that V you have in the intro is the most beautiful guitar I’ve ever seen!
Don’t worry about it! It’s Gibson 😂
Oh man, that is so much cooler than a "standard" V!! Dream guitar🤘🎸🤘
Les Godfrey Strikes Again!!! Best Canadian guitar designer and builder. No question.
The "KT" series of beam tetrodes (Kinkless Tetrodes) were developed to get around the Philips patented pentode, which are arguably better than pentodes.
Lead Crystal was made to get around the patent for clarifying glass, which actually had better clarity.
Now Goran pulls off the same trick, making something to get around a patent, which is actually better.
Flying A is the way the go. It means i can make my own CHIBSON from now on. And i will build it with better weight distribution and better binding for sure.
Great iridescent globes of Yog Sothoth, that guitar is sick
I usually am not a fan of boutique guitars but Damn lol.
Vicious Guitars kinda singlehandedly made me a believer.
Thanks for givin these guys some eyes, spectre
There are REALLY GOOD boutique builders out there!
I wish your buddy all the luck with his new line of Spreading She guitars. 🍺🍻
KDH just published a video on this whole thing. Would love your take on it
I can watch this episode again with a brand snob because no chipmonk voice and I love this fellow luthier .
I received a "Cease and Desist" from a large fishing company when I used to make and sell lures out of my garage. They had trademarked how two small pieces connected; apparently, someone bought one of mine and notified them that I was violating this trademark. Gotta love big corporations. Glad to see he didn't stop making guitars.
We have a local builder who makes Nepco Guitars (Des Moines, IA) and their schtick is, "What if Danelectro made a V." So they're V's in that style. Gibson also sent him the cease
I'm not a guitarist, but I'll buy some merch to support this guy.
Good idea. A shirt with the new model on it. Somebody's good at art work? (No AI please)
"Wanna see the pickup?"
Glen's face: 👀
Love the new shape, a breath of fresh air into the the 1/2 W shape ;)
🖤
Great review and a beautiful guitar. Thanks, Glenn!
NGL: the art deco/dieselpunk aesthetic of that shape kinda looks even cooler than the traditional flying V. As long as Vicious don't get a cease-and-desist from Northrop now...
Rather than sue this guy, Gibson ought to offer him a job as a master builder in their custom shop
That guitar looks sooo fuckin amazing! Never heard of vicious n damn toronto just an hour away❤😂
That tone really brings me Priest Painkiller vibes! Not usually what I'd go for myself but it sounds so sick!
That stealth design he switched up to IMO is infinitely cooler than the V
True metal heads love underdogs. This will put him on the world map. Dude you will have to hire people to meet the demand.
Dude. I’m a long time fan. And I’m really digging this “format”. So interesting to watch / listen to your big voice mjw-ing (music-justice-warrior-ing). There was always a tinge in your uploafs about this. IE, calling out non-committal, non-artists in our own lives. What you’ve shortcuted as bassists. But, we all know is actually calling out our inner willingness to procrastinate. Seemingly, in mine eyes, this has maybe served as pre-pro to what might be your ultimate, eventual populous format:
Loud Vs Crowd
Voice Vs Noise
Voice Vs Voids
…something like that
Edit: Would love to watch you read, in the funny voice, injustices bestowed upon regular musician folk’l by the Gibsons and Fenders and SSLs and ad-infinitum - watching you go active-agro on them.
I understand, it may be counter to your non disclosures. But, a man, a musician, an artist, can ream, uhm, dream
It doesn 't even look like a Gibson Vee. As mentioned below: It is more like an A. Aside from that, they look much nicer. Mind you, the new one looks even better. Good on V G for not rolling over.
I was going to comment that looks like the shape of Gary Holt's new guitar that he's been sharing progress on in Instagram. Sure enough, it is! Edit: I don't skip the Sydney Sweeny Dr Squatch ad. She's gorgeous!
It's obvious that it's not a Gibson, neck thru and the head stock not snapped off is a good indication.
A cease and desist letter is nothing more than a request. I've received many of them and they all went in the garbage and nothing ever happened. If you're not infringing on any actual patents there's nothing they can do.
