The "papa jump" line at the end is such a great way to end. Corresponds to the beginning where Bayek asked Khemu to jump. Feels so complete and satisfying.
There were multiple references. Amunet was mentioned in the Altar Room in the Villa Auditore in AC2, as an assassin in ancient egypt who killed Cleopatra with a snake. Then there's Ayas final sentence when she speaks to Caesar, she said Requiescat in Pace, that's the same line Ezio said when he killed someone. Of course you can say it's not a reference since it's latin and Caesar, as a man from rome, speaks latin. And then there's the song, it's a remix from AC2's main theme, Ezio's family
I loved the game 10/10 Bayek and aya are great characters. However, I did play nearly the entire game as Bayek putting time into his gear and skills. So fighting the final boss as aya with her two dinky dual swords was disappointing because I had all 40 legendary gear with Bayek. Couldn’t even use my bad ass bows or any of the skills I learned throughout the entire game because I was aya not Bayek
Yea having her assassinate Caesar AND Cleopatra (AC2 confirms this) makes the game about her. Bayek means nothing. Aya is what this entire story is about
George Walker Bush aya certainly wasn't the emotional one. "I renounce love" - aya. Aya broke up with him, because she knew she was part of something bigger than their love, while Bayek wanted to go back to whatever they were before Khemut was killed.
I appreciate that neither Aya or Bayek were wrong in the end. Bayek wasn't wrong for wanting to reeastblish their love while Aya understood that they were both a part of something much bigger. It's interesting that Aya was the one that was honored - but I suppouse that makes sense since she was the one who initially realized that she was a part of something bigger and then killed both Ceasar and Cleopatra

I really didn't like how you had to play as Aya to kill the final bosses. I grinded and did so many side quests to get the best gear and legendary weapons for Bayek and then BAM...we have to play as Aya with her shitty weapon. Talk about disappointing
Ryan C yeah and I was annoyed at how Aya was so cold to Bayek after all his years of faithfulness to her. Only for us to have to play as her in the end and no gear or upgrades or Senu. Game annoyed me with all of it's leveling or die only to say in the end it didn't matter
Eric Nick Order of the Ancients was the name for the Templar Order in its early years. So technically Templars did exist in Origins, but weren’t called Templars back then.
Considering this is the ending of Egyptian's rule and Roman's rise, I'd say the Order of Ancients began in Ancient Egypt during the times when Pharaoh's ruled. Caesar just took over once Rome came to power. Just my theory.
I am a huge assassin's creed fan, and origins was really a fresh of air for the entire series that was despretly needed, ( looking at you syndicate) and even though I didn't particularly like the ending I felt that it put satisfying conclusion to the main quest. Here's to the dlc! ( btw am i the only one that wants to see bayek in another AC game ?)
I gotta say, Origins has turned into my second favorite among the AC series. (My favorite is tied still being 2 or Brotherhood but compared to today, the gameplay doesn't age so well). Definitely a nice change after almost 10 years of the same formula. And I can see the modern day has starting to make a comeback. Previous games since 3 has you play as [insert name here] and doesn't have progress in terms of the modern day story. But for Origins, there's actually an established modern day protagonist in the form of Layla Hassan. Granted, for now, the modern day story doesn't do much yet and Layla only served as a disgruntled Abstergo employee and also as a connection to the half-I-want-to-burn-down-half-I-want-to-love painfully bland movie. Only the future will tell so don't fuck this chance of slight redemption Ubisoft.
Jeffrey Keaton I agree. I also want more Desmond. I heard rumors that Desmond was supposed to have more parts than what we got but Ubisoft messed that up. Well, what's done is done. Unless you want the franchise to be rebooted (HELL NO), we just have to stick with Layla now. Who knows Desmond might make a comeback in some form.
@@boxingfan012 yes while the combat may be buggy sometimes it was the best of its time, the old games is literally just you swinging a sword around and syndicates combat felt very cartoony.
Something just dawned on me, in their tomb Aya's grave broke off and fell away from Bayak. That means even in death she is keeping her distance. Great that is some great writing/foreshadowing
@5:16 in the end she was the one who got him. Amunet was the coldest character in assassins creed due to the fact she never mourned the loss of an ally or loved one. She renounced the love she had and picked up the pieces and moved on like a true warrior.
I've had this game in my computer for 3 years due to work/personal stuff I had to stop playing and its only now that I finally finished it, It's been a great journey
I actually really liked the ending to Bayek and Aya's story, but the story during the present day is still as terrible as ever... You just get out of the Animus, and POOF! William Miles just sits there waiting, and then it just sorta stops there; no real ending to it, nothing about what happend during the ending in Syndicate. Nothing... The game is really good, but it seems my prediction about the present day events going absolutely nowhere was on the money! What did we even learn about the present day events? Miles is still alive. Abstergo are still assholes. We know how the Brotherhood came to be, and we have seen advancements in Animus technology. Im not sure even Ubisoft knows what it wants to do with the present day storyline...
I think they just ran into the Half Life 3 problem by that point, where, even if they wrap up the story by this point, it can NEVER live up to the hype... They have been building up the present day story for 10 games now, and the majority of fans seem to want them to either drop the present day story completely, or just wrap it up and find some other excuse to why the games happen. Personally, i'm with the latter group, because it feels like they have been telling a joke for 10 years, but we are nowhere near the punchline yet...
I would really like the present day to be much more coherent, and by gathering all the threads in a game set in the present day, they could bring all the small bits together so people can get a sense of where we are in regards to the Juno story arch...
They made a mistake by not following this up with a direct sequel set in Rome. There was a fantastic setting with great historical figures and events. Octavian vs Mark Anthony, Cleopatra again, Agrippa, Brutus, Cassius, Sextus Pompey, the second triumvirate and the battles of Philippi and Actium and ending with the Pax Romana. Hopefully they go back to it as I'd love to see a fully realised classical Rome.
I hope Bayek is still the protagonist in the next game. He's such an awesome character, so badass as well. I also think he should've killed Septimius and Ceasar. But he killed Flavius so I guess Aya was supposed to kill someone as well so it's all good.

12:05 I realized that in AC2 Ezio retrieved Egyptian Assassin Amunet seal needed to unlock the Armor of Altaïr. The statue described about the legendary Assassin who killed Cleopatra with an Snake.
When I finished the game I didn’t know I was finishing it. Idk if that makes sense. Way shorter then I thought it would be. It took me by surprise. I enjoyed it tho.
If they had given her more to do it might have justified you playing the final mission as her. But since you play most of the game as bayek not playing the last mission as him just seems wrong and weird. Other games have done that and I don't like it. If you have people playing several charectors fine. Like GTA V. But if you have a central charector for most of the game it's really weird finishing the story playing as someone else. LA noire is another example of that.
The fact that the game had been playing "Ezio's Family" every time we opened the menu but it stopped JUST SHORT of the similar tones, makes the full reveal during Amunet's monolog at the end even more intense and epic IMO
why’d we play most of the game as Bayek if aya gets the big final credit as the end, it should have been Bayek to end the game not aya, like who really cares bout her.
The Calidude213 I mostly agree. I think the only reason they ended with a monologue from Aya is because of the reveal that she’s Amunet, which is a callback to AC2. I don’t think they earn that ending since we spent so little time with Aya. It’s jarring to have her have the monologue when Bayek was our protagonist for 95% of the story.
damn. never thought i’d say this but watching the fight against septimius made me realize how much i appreciate the enhanced rpg elements of odyssey in the form of a vast ability tree supported by adrenaline. i realize now that odyssey actually does have the best combat in the series without a doubt. although, i do miss the days of AC2 because of the story, and of course ezio. being honest, i’d rank the categories by which game did it best, as follows: combat-odyssey, stealth-syndicate. honestly, as much as people love to forget, syndicate handled AMAZINGLY mechanics-wise. and, it retained all of the beauties of assassin’s creed stealth/assassination elements, aka a definite one-hit assassination every time, the whistling, the crowd-hiding, the bush-hiding, the haystacks, double assassinations, and of course, CROUCHING. next, parkour. this is also an interesting one, as i’d have to say a tie... between origins and syndicate. origins implemented the much needed ability to climb... essentially everything in the game. yet, syndicate also did everything right parkour-wise. climb-down was as fast as it’s ever been. overall, quick, and fluid. let’s not forget the grappler as well. so, a tie. of course, we can’t forget naval combat either. should i even say it? black flag of course. this game was MADE for naval expeditions. finally though, story/character: ezio trilogy. of course. in the trilogy AC2 holds the crown. it’s the best assassin’s creed game, still sitting high in its throne, waiting to... never be topped. yet, theoretically, a combination of all of these things-odyssey ground combat, syndicate stealth, origins/syndicate parkour, black flag naval exploration/combat, and a deep, emotionally-driven story with a provocative setting/time period like the ezio trilogy with a definitive character as enticing, wise, talented, and situationally humorous as ezio, oh, and of course incredible graphics and an AMAZING soundtrack-then we’d have the most perfect video game to ever exist, hands down. it would surpass ac2 easily. unfortunately, the likelihood of this being done... especially with the way the series is evolving, and the direction the development team is heading in (and i literally mean the team itself, not just the game... they’ve been changing their ways and likely their staff too) ... is implausible at best. we’d need a tragic character with unprecedented abilities that are nurtured and developed over the entire story, nuanced by emotional depth supported by both the narrative and the soundtrack, ultimately cultivated in a timely setting that blends all of the stories we’ve gotten up to this point and makes recognition of the series’ progress, while simultaneously providing an interesting world and time period to explore.
dude looks like you are a hardcore ac nerd. nyway me too a fan of ac franchise and I liked origin but loved ezio part. I would like to have another series of 2 3 games based on someone we fell in love again like ezio. plz Ubisoft I want that.
I absolutely agree with the ability tree supported by adrenaline. I loved that in Odyssey and missed that when playing Origins (played Odyssey first and then Origins)
Still bayeks journey is no way comparable to odyssey The way dialogues are done and the Egyptian feel and the soundtrack all in all the best in the latest 3 entries You are more personally attached to bayek compared to other 2
Dude. I wholeheartedly agree with you. The future of Assassin's Creed is not looking good. Forgive me for what I'm about to say, but to me, it seems Ubisoft is more about people pleasing, liberal/left agendas, conforming, rather then make a good, fun game with a good story. I could be off. But am I wrong???
The point from aya and bayek splitting ways and making the creed to the end cutscene was really cool and sad if youre playing the games in order and its your first time beating this game. You start to understand everything, time for odyssey 😄
Sad thing is origins is my first assassins creed game but never finished it then I bought Odyssey and I beat the game before origins and now I’m currently working on origins again 😂😂😂. Five year span for me as well !
This game is still awesome but the idea that Ubisoft had not enough courage to make Aya the main character is devastating. Imagine how absurdly powerful this story could have been.
I hope it is too....hopefully her as the mentor of the roman brotherhood of assassins and at the end she go's back to egypt to kill Cleopatra I'd love that :)
To be honest it'd be great to finally have a girl leading Assassin's creed game instead of it always being a guy...I mean yea I am a guy but for once make it a girl....I did love Syndicate with Evie helping Jacob even though Jacob was really the leading character in that game though. Also I do not consider Assassin's creed liberation a AC game. Besides if they do make one in Rome with Amunet as the mentor I wish to see the rise of Octavion and Mark Antony and see how they will be depicted.

If you have people playing several charectors fine. Like GTA V. But if you have a central charector for most of the game it's really weird finishing the story playing as someone else. LA noire is another example of that.
bayek assassinates most of the order, then decides to be free.
Aya assassinates one boss from the order, "i'm Amunet, not Aya no more"
Lmaooo
When Khemu said "Pappo jump" i cried on my knees.
I was so underwhelmed by the ending and the boss fight (too easy). That being said, I love that momma got to avenge her son too.

Aya:"Requiescat in pace,Caesar"
*Ezio:"Am I a joke to you?!"*
I mean they did create the whole assassins creed...aren’t you paying attention?
No..... Rome is in Italy and she was speaking Rest In Peace in Italian language so she wasn't saying it as a joke
Soooo, I just found out that Aya's voice actress also did the British female Inquisitor voice in Dragon Age: Inquisition... neat
The fact that the game had been playing "Ezio's Family" every time we opened the menu but it stopped JUST SHORT of the similar tones, makes the full reveal during Amunet's monolog at the end even more intense and epic IMO
Playing Assassins Creed brotherhood. Walking through Rome. I know now this place is where the brotherhood, the creed began.
why’d we play most of the game as Bayek if aya gets the big final credit as the end, it should have been Bayek to end the game not aya, like who really cares bout her.
The Calidude213
I mostly agree.
TheCaliDude well bayek does
Well aya is the decadent of kassandra. Which means she has modt connection with the first Civi
That Ronald Reagan line at 7:45, “Freedom is not given, it is taken” is a nice touch there.
damn. never thought i’d say this but watching the fight against septimius made me realize how much i appreciate the enhanced rpg elements of odyssey in the form of a vast ability tree supported by adrenaline. i realize now that odyssey actually does have the best combat in the series without a doubt. although, i do miss the days of AC2 because of the story, and of course ezio. being honest, i’d rank the categories by which game did it best, as follows: combat-odyssey, stealth-syndicate. honestly, as much as people love to forget, syndicate handled AMAZINGLY mechanics-wise. and, it retained all of the beauties of assassin’s creed stealth/assassination elements, aka a definite one-hit assassination every time, the whistling, the crowd-hiding, the bush-hiding, the haystacks, double assassinations, and of course, CROUCHING. next, parkour. this is also an interesting one, as i’d have to say a tie... between origins and syndicate. origins implemented the much needed ability to climb... essentially everything in the game. yet, syndicate also did everything right parkour-wise. climb-down was as fast as it’s ever been. overall, quick, and fluid. let’s not forget the grappler as well. so, a tie. of course, we can’t forget naval combat either. should i even say it? black flag of course. this game was MADE for naval expeditions. finally though, story/character: ezio trilogy. of course. in the trilogy AC2 holds the crown. it’s the best assassin’s creed game, still sitting high in its throne, waiting to... never be topped. yet, theoretically, a combination of all of these things-odyssey ground combat, syndicate stealth, origins/syndicate parkour, black flag naval exploration/combat, and a deep, emotionally-driven story with a provocative setting/time period like the ezio trilogy with a definitive character as enticing, wise, talented, and situationally humorous as ezio, oh, and of course incredible graphics and an AMAZING soundtrack-then we’d have the most perfect video game to ever exist, hands down. it would surpass ac2 easily. unfortunately, the likelihood of this being done... especially with the way the series is evolving, and the direction the development team is heading in (and i literally mean the team itself, not just the game... they’ve been changing their ways and likely their staff too) ... is implausible at best. we’d need a tragic character with unprecedented abilities that are nurtured and developed over the entire story, nuanced by emotional depth supported by both the narrative and the soundtrack, ultimately cultivated in a timely setting that blends all of the stories we’ve gotten up to this point and makes recognition of the series’ progress, while simultaneously providing an interesting world and time period to explore.
dude looks like you are a hardcore ac nerd.
nyway me too a fan of ac franchise and I liked origin but loved ezio part. I would like to have another series of 2 3 games based on someone we fell in love again like ezio.
plz Ubisoft I want that.
I absolutely agree with the ability tree supported by adrenaline. I loved that in Odyssey and missed that when playing Origins (played Odyssey first and then Origins)
Bro use spaces, my eyes hurt when I click on "Read more" xDD
Still bayeks journey is no way comparable to odyssey
The way dialogues are done and the Egyptian feel and the soundtrack all in all the best in the latest 3 entries
You are more personally attached to bayek compared to other 2
I can't be the only one getting serious God of war, Kratos vibes from the bosses attacks.
Freedom is not given , it is taken - Netaji
Loved loved loved this game! So emotional 😭
This is like when you do everything in a project, then you friend puts the final touch and gets all the credit xD
I was so emotional when bayek said that he is no longer a husband like I loved them so much as a couple 🥺
The point from aya and bayek splitting ways and making the creed to the end cutscene was really cool and sad if youre playing the games in order and its your first time beating this game. You start to understand everything, time for odyssey 😄
When i heard "the father of understanding" i was like omg😱😱😱
Khemu: *PAPA JUMP*
Me: *doesn't use the leap of faith board and dies* 😅
Leonardo’s little prank on Ezio was actually real lol
Gj on that Ubisoft, was a nice touch
They knew Bayek would be as good of a character as Ezio
Started this game in December of 2017 and just now beat it. Amazing game
How did it take you 5 years 😭
Damn bruh it took you five years to beat it?
5 years lol
Sad thing is origins is my first assassins creed game but never finished it then I bought Odyssey and I beat the game before origins and now I’m currently working on origins again 😂😂😂. Five year span for me as well !
And this...is how the Brotherhood started
*Aya talking to herself* people walking past “who the hell is she talking too?”
when i finished the game I got emotional idk why haha.
SAME idek why
This game is still awesome but the idea that Ubisoft had not enough courage to make Aya the main character is devastating. Imagine how absurdly powerful this story could have been.
Assassin's Creed 2's worthy opponent.
Edit: In terms of story.
True, too true.
The end of this game made me wish Aya could have had a play through in a DLC in Roma to complete her origins story she rightfully deserved.
Caesar: Well.... My adopted son will avenge for me.
i didnt notice but aya said requescat in pace which was the iconic line of ezio
We work in the dark to serve the light we are the assassin's
Ezio auditoure
Bayek's character is adorable
“The creed is the only thing that can’t die”
Shay”Yeah sure buddy”
Connor: *laughs in completely destroying the colonial templar business*
Bruh I saw the thumbnail when I recently started playing origins and thought aya will betray me and be the final boss
14:00 when i jumped during this scene, that same damn thing pops up and it ruined my moment 😂😂
I hope the next game is a sequel to this.where you play as aya/amunet and set in Rome
I hope it is too....hopefully her as the mentor of the roman brotherhood of assassins and at the end she go's back to egypt to kill Cleopatra I'd love that :)
I so agree with you I hope they do. Amunet in Rome first girl assassin in the series would be awsome
I 100% agree with you
Yes Rome
One of the most satisfying Ending
The Ezio family music , may it last forever
This boss fight made me emotional, that tears almost fell lol
The fact that they didn't use mo- cap for the birth of the creed is peak Ubi$oft.
Ac 1 to revelation, ac 3 and blackflag, rouge and now origins. These will be treasured in my heart forever.
Syndicate and unity is no good .
I am starting Syndicate in the morning how come you didn't like it?
I'm happy to find another fan of AC3
Lucius, you are far too dishonorable to be considered a wolf.
That AC2 nostalgic music...Gives chills
They should have just made the game about Aya, clearly a reference to AC2 and it would have made more since to tell her story.
I’m not so sure because compared to bayek she didn’t seem that invested in taking revenge for her son
Aya was boring to me
Aya was so boring. I'd prefer emotional entanglement (Bayek) rather than emotional detachment (Aya)
Wow….aya saying she was amunet….I found all of the tombs in ezios game and that part….I balled I’m like holy shit that’s her😭then w bayek and the “papa jump” part was just….so perfect man
This looks like an assassins creed I need to play.
Chills listening to Ezio family
We need the ability stand up straight on viewpoints like in the cinematic trailer for the first AC
It makes no sense why the game ends with Aya not bayek
When i was a kid i used to have such a huge crush on aya
Just in denial the game ended so I came here to be sure ;(
LEGIT LMAO it’s taken me 2 years to finish this game and I was kind of in owe that it ended so abruptly so I came here to double check and sadly I was right :/
same here. hahah
@@tobypeddle9208 I completed it few hours ago and I started it 3 weeks back
