I wouldn't disagree with you if your overarching point is that some people exaggerate the instances and impact of racism in present-day American culture. But, it stands to reason that if racism is going to be "called out," then race has to be discussed. Please explain the "hypocrisy" there?
@@robertparker3586 My point is that when you make a claim like “Caitlyn Clark fans are racists”, when you obviously have never met 99% of Caitlin Clark fans, then maybe you should listen to yourself, and take into consideration that some of Caitlyn‘s fans have the same color of skin that you do. So does she mean just her white fans?
Who made a blanket statement that Caitlin Clark fans are "racist"? This post focuses on an interview of the New York Liberty's Jones. I didn't hear her say in the interview that CC and Indiana Fever fans are racist. She points out that some people have disassociated themselves as CC, Fever fans because they perceived that CC is not ideologically what they thought she was. I don't know if Jones is accurate in this assertion, but the host of this channel admitted that some of her subscribers unsubsidized when she expressed that she didn't have a problem with CC, perhaps not sharing her values. Does that information suggest that some people aren't necessarily fans of CC because of her basketball gifts? Even if the answer is yes, that doesn't diminish the reality that CC has an enormous number of fans who simply appreciate her game and appealing personality. In my opinion, that's what matters most in this whole discussion.
Jonquel Jones in that interview stopped short of using the word she probably really wanted to use, and that's 'Republican'. Her assertion is that the fans who "latched on" to Caitlin because they thought she was a certain way are the Republican fans, who are of course, naturally racist* (*sarcasm). In JJ's mind, these "fans" were disappointed when Caitlin seemed to approve of Harris, because they thought that as a straight, white, Catholic Iowan girl, she'd obviously be Conservative /Republican. I'm so sick of the Republican=Racist thing. It's so intellectually dishonest, not to mention grossly ignorant.

I didn't watch any of the videos talking about what JJ said because I didn't believe a single W player would repudiate any of the narratives spewed against CC fans.... and this video only confirmed my suspicions. At this point - unless a W player says explicitly and unequivocally true statements about Clark and her fans, I assume they are supporting the current narrative.
I went back and watched the post game celebration for Caitlin Clark. It was so touching to watch the videos with her family, coaches and teammates speaking so highly of her. She is obviously a wonderful and Blessed young lady. I can't wait to go watch her in person. Thank you Adrienne for speaking the truth. The world needs more of that.

I will reiterate my point from months ago. The League has been controlled by the BLC for years. They (BLC) dreamed of a day when straight men would adore them for their talent etc. 25 years later the $ new fan base was never impressed by angry BLC playing BB.

I've heard over the past few years that Black ppl cannot be ra*ist. 1968 I was going to Head Start in a real poor area of Chesapeake Virginia. I heard there was another white kid that was at the school. I never saw him or her. But I did fight everyday. In the beginning it was the other kids that wanted to fight me. It was never one on one. Eventually I clocked in like I was going to work and started it myself. I would say between Head Start and 8th grade I probably fought over a 1000 times. Before school, during school, during field trips and after school. I once had a military officer stop my classmates from throwing me off a Naval battleship at the port. By the time I got to 9th grade I never got into another fight to this day. In High School no one wanted to fight me. I always thought rac*sm was prejudice/hatred against ones race. Guess I have been wrong all these years.
AR, thank you for deciphering that gobbledygook that Jones spouted. Frankly, I believe the thoughts in Jones' head are bouncing around like the balls in a Pinball machine. Utter, incomprehensible, illogical nonsense. Dumb as a box of rocks.
There was never any talk connecting Clark and racism in her college career. Were there no black players in college? No social activists? Racism only became an issue in the WNBA. Someone might want to think about the WNBA being the issue, not Clark or her fans.
I agree with what u are saying. I have no idea why CC liked the post why she decided to like it I think it’s natural to go to that meant she is voting for Kamala or was it just because she is an extreme Swift fan but to assume CC was of one thought process or another without knowing her is unreasonable and then to say she is of particular mind because she liked a tweet is absurd. Good observation of what BG words were really saying. What needs to happen I feel is that we don’t make decisions based on race
I find you to be a breath of fresh air. You are willing to be fair minded and willing to look at yourself and dig deeper. I started watching the WNBA to see who CC was that she broke Pistol Pete's record. Because of that I ended up watching Boston, Mitchell and Reese. The BS in the league is me care less about the whole thing and the flagrant fouls against CC is turning me off to the whole league. We will see where next year takes us. Best wishes.
I agree with your assessment of JJ interview. But just because CC liked Taylor‘s tweet about Harris… I don’t see how that makes CC automatically promoting her for president?
I don't think the new fans latch on to CC because they thought she was racist. People unfollowing CC because she liked a post not because they thought she was racist. Imo it was because those fans assumed CC political views aligned with them.. My political views definitely doesn't align with yours A.G.. I could have easily unsubscribe and definitely wouldn't have became a member. Whatever your political beliefs are it's not for me to judge. A lot of the race baiting conspiracies from social media, sports commentators UA-cam and trolls have to stop!
You have a lot more maturity than many. People who unsubscribe instead of watching the stuff they want and ignoring the stuff they don't are hypocritical. That's like going around asking the grocery store owner who he will vote for and then driving all the way across town because he has a different perspective or not pumping gas because of how the station owner will vote. It's also egotistical for those people who think I should sacrifice my deeply held views in favor of theirs. It's so ridiculous, it's funny. I appreciate the maturity you exemplify.
I couldn't agree with you more. I think many of us are so beaten down from the negative vibes in the WNBA against CC, that even a crumb of positive energy seems too good to be true, and we latch on without fully listening. I am glad you pointed that out. My main issue with these claims of racism is players are saying it is coming from the crowds. I understand there will be trolls on social media, but if in fact the crowds were blatantly being racist, I feel there would be some form of video proof SOMEWHERE. As far as voting goes, anyone can vote for whomever they want. CC is admittingly still young in the process, and even though I don't agree if she likes Kamala, I can be fine with that. People should be able to disagree without hate.
Magic and Bird brought me to the NBA , after they retired I quickly lost interest ; and then last year Caitlin Clark caught my eye and I'm hooked. I love watching her play and became a fan of several other WNBA players . I watched every Fever game during the regular season and their playoff run . I agree with the observation that Jonquel Jones made , I follow around 20 UA-cam channels who play close attention to Miss Clark . I noted the change in tone a few of the UTubers took and their dismay after Caitlin liked the Taylor Swift post . I watched as their Fever fever subsided , most have since recovered . I'm sure their awakening to Caitlin's possible " Wokeness " was disheartening ; Also , I hear " black lesbian league " as often as I hear " Caitlin Clark AND Angel Reese " strung together. I agree with both of your perspectives . PS , I look forward to and never miss your informative and thoughtful BBall videos , I was an early subscriber and congratulate you on the growth your channel enjoys and deserves .

And I hope CC knows that people like Sue Bird is not her friend
Sue Bird said "The Fever fans are a huge group and can't be characterized as racists. The bad actors are very few and most are trolls. Do they watch basketball? Who knows." That is as good an answer as anyone has given. Sue Bird may be off with some views, but she is straight with Caitlin.
THANK YOU! Critical thinking seems to escape some people.
Brilliant, Miss Adrienne...you broke that down beautifully. Luv ya girl.❤🎉
The truth is that these haters are so jealous that they don't even have a drop of Caitlin's fan base.
I thought the same thing Adrienne. Didn't sound like she was very complimentary of CC fans.
She wasn’t ! She literally said it’s not the Fever fans it’s the Caitlin fans , that went over everybody’s heads …
@b-rad3681 Well this year, the Fever fans, WERE Caitlin Clark fans!!!
@@user-xn7tq1qh5r the Fever fans are also fans of the other Fever players lol
@b-rad3681 And the CC fans are also fans of the other players!
EXACTOMUNDO! Some people are giving me the impression that so many people need a refresher course in the comprehension of the English language! I finally had to stop clicking on most of these videos because its hard to comment on comments without offending someone and getting put into a timeout by YT, or getting kicked off of YT! Its so refreshing to see you seeing the same things Im seeing, REGULARLY! Btw, this topic isnt an isolated topic where this happens either, ITS ACROSS ALL TOPICS IN SM, and its EXHAUSTING! You do an amazing job with your channel and I can easily predict you being a channel that exceeds 1M subs in the future, FO SHO!
It's grade six all over again. Someone points out the BS and the only response is "No, you!"
AMEN Coach Ross. Preach it
I didn't watch any of the videos talking about what JJ said because I didn't believe a single W player would repudiate any of the narratives spewed against CC fans.... and this video only confirmed my suspicions.
At this point - unless a W player says explicitly and unequivocally true statements about Clark and her fans, I assume they are supporting the current narrative.
Maybe she supports Harris because she doesn’t like the other guy. Good for her
I went back and watched the post game celebration for Caitlin Clark. It was so touching to watch the videos with her family, coaches and teammates speaking so highly of her. She is obviously a wonderful and Blessed young lady. I can't wait to go watch her in person. Thank you Adrienne for speaking the truth. The world needs more of that.
I guess i thought Jonquel was referring to trolls, nobody can control that in our online world today. Jonquel has presented herself with grace in the past. Hoping she still will in the future
So you think she will stop being a race baiter in the future? I wouldn't hold my breath. After all, race baiters are the racist. You don't get over that easily.
That’s what I was hoping she meant.
@@janea095 She did, what you're missing is that unless you're for Harris _YOU_ are the trolls in her opinion.
Equating support for a particular candidate would mean that they racist ? Mind blown by how on earth they would think this way ? It never occurred to me to vote for a candidate based on race, skin color etc . But what they bring to the table , their policies which would make me vote for them .
Talent is the reason why folks like K.C., along with the way she handles herself on the court and off.
Harris is not black
Tell her that. She insists she is.
😂😂😂
She’s definitely Black. Keep up, sweetie!
And who is claiming that Harris is not and/ or may not be even only a little ?
Guarantee, noone,is for certain as to what exactly Harris may/ may not be.
Best to not claim, what one, truly lacks the knowledge of another being.
It doesn’t matter.
Who brought this mess to the country?!
Obama
I disagree with you.
I agree. Sublimal messages. Dang I was cheering JJ but we all know that win was rigged
Excellent commentary!
Lady you are so right on. I have also been told over the years that I'm an uncle Tom if I criticized ANY liberal black person for ANY reason. Told I didn't like black people because we are supposed to think according to our skin color. I've only been watching you since during the basketball editions, but I'm really looking forward to your podcasts post basketball. Keep on pushing Adrian ❤
When Watching Basketball.... becomes a racist thing, then we as a Country are in trouble.... we are in the Danger Zone.
I will reiterate my point from months ago.
The League has been controlled by the BLC for years. They (BLC) dreamed of a day when straight men would adore them for their talent etc. 25 years later the $ new fan base was never impressed by angry BLC playing BB.
All she did was guess. I can't believe she got a platform to guess about why she thinks Indiana fans are racist. It's all her speculation. It's ridiculous
I do not support Harris but I DO love and respect you and your show! Btw: old white woman here. I love Kelsey and Aliyah….
I am so confused lol. Just embrace each other and celebrate our diversity. I am basically just here for the love of THE FEVER! I have to say this: if you’re in your 20’s and you’re NOT a democrat, you don’t have a heart. If you’re in your 40’s and you’re STILL a democrat, you don’t have a brain!
😂😅🤣😅😂😅🤣😅😂😅🤣😅😂😅🤣thank you so much for saying exactly what we need to hear. Can’t wait for next season of the WNBA.
WNBA locker rooms must have CNN or MSNBC on the monitors full time...like the airports.
These activists have worn out the word racist.
Less than 4 million people in Iowa and not many more in Indiana. She is just good.
Iowa farm boy here we didn't even know about racism until we got older.
I didn’t Think she said they were racist… I think every time someone talks about Fever Fans … it’s racist! Appreciate you! 💯‼️🙌🏼
Thank you. I want to watch the whole interview now. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised, but I am.
It’s gotten old. The bad thing is when it really happens to someone, no one’s gonna believe them.
Who is BG?
I hear you! You meant Jonquel, but I know what you mean.
What does it matter who CC votes for? From what JJ said to politics…why??? CC is a great basketball player…period!
Yup, listening again she was calling out the fans as racist.
I agree with your assessment of JJ interview. But just because CC liked Taylor‘s tweet about Harris… I don’t see how that makes CC automatically promoting her for president?
Girl you are so spot on...............................
@@theadriennerossshowrespect 🌟
CC is a great player who loves the game.Shes fun to watch and doesnt get in the drama shes great
I couldn't agree with you more.
I'm sure their awakening to Caitlin's possible " Wokeness " was disheartening ; Also , I hear
" black lesbian league " as often as I hear " Caitlin Clark AND Angel Reese " strung together. I agree with both of your perspectives .
PS , I look forward to and never miss your informative and thoughtful BBall videos , I was an early subscriber and congratulate you on the growth your channel enjoys and deserves .
Clark's fans take exception to her getting assaulted by racist players -- so guess who's racist? The fans!
You have a great outlook on life Adrienne, I love your show
