Jagmeet Singh faces the press after ending Liberal-NDP confidence deal - September 5, 2024

In Toronto, NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh holds his first news conference after announcing that his party will withdraw from its confidence-and-supply agreement with the Liberal government. The agreement, originally signed in March 2022, has guaranteed NDP support for the minority Liberal government on budgetary and confidence votes in the House of Commons.
Singh is joined by local NDP candidates Clare Hacksel (Toronto-Danforth) and Norm Di Pasquale (Spadina- Fort York).
