Flash Cadillac still performs live, but not a lot. They are scattered over the country and come together for shows in the Colorado area and still do the Surf Ball Room among others. I got to travel with them for several years. Awesome people, and Great Music!!!
I was a card carrying member of the Flash Cadillac & the Continental Kids Fan Club back in the early 70s. They were my favorite band back then. I have their first 3 albums (actually 2 of Sons of the Beaches because the first one didn't have Did You Boogie). Sure do miss those guys. I was introduced to them on the old Bandstand show when they were promoting their No Face Like Chrome album. Wish there were more videos of them.
These guys were the band in the gym scene in American Graffiti...love their performance in this video but Johnny Bond's version of "Hot Rod Lincoln" is still my favorite...
Saw them play twice at North Dakota State University and drove through a blizzard to see them at Mayville State-their live show and alternative lyrics was fantastic!!!
We have Blu-ray or DVD versions of the 2-night 40-track concert, plus menu extras like the American Bandstand interview, American Graffiti performance, Colorado Music Hall of Fame, etc. Only charging for materials and shipping. If interested, see my UA-cam Channel About tab for business inquiry email address.
Quite the opposite, he was the most grounded and fun loving soul we have ever had the blessing to know and love. Angelo was essentially his alter-ego... his yin to his yang.
Check the "About" tab under my channel. Email if interested in a Blu-ray or DVD copy of the two night show. I have yet to digitize to a streaming link...maybe someday.

@@BatRanger Hi Jayson, I am asking the band for permission on making copies of the DVD. I will follow up if given the go ahead.
@@ridethespiral462 That would be great!!
@@BatRanger Hey Jayson, good news...got the go ahead from the band. Please see my channel "About" section and email me to coordinate.
Incredible! How Angelo could hold that note for so long is beyond me!
I saw them in 1972 at the University of Puget Sound with Dan Hicks & His Hot Licks , both bands were great.

Your uncle was great in Happy Days. And I didn't know Flash was such a good guitar player. Great band.
I've only heard the cramps version, this is insane
gotta be at least a bit insane to even take on the Jimmie Rodgers original...even Dolly Parton pulls it off! I say Mike Patton next...

Loved these guys!
Especially your uncle.
Was he as crazy when he wasn’t on stage?

@@ridethespiral462that’s awesome to hear. So sorry for your loss. Thanks for sharing the videos and his story.
You know, it's a real shame that none of these guys enjoy performing. . . .
My Uncle and his band would have highly appreciated your subtle sarcasm...Their kind of humor!
@@ridethespiral462 Wish I could have had a ringside seat.
Better than "Sha Na Na"... I think.
Where can I see more...??
