My pup took to this game really quick and we're doing it outside at the park (full of literal and figurative squirrels) on the second day. I've already taught her to stop in her tracks with the command 'stop' but it will be fun to have a down at a distance. It just looks impressive.

How do you teach an emergency stop when they are running away and you don’t want them to recall… say crossing a road?

After your dog has the skill from this video mastered, practice outside on a long leash in a familiar place then move on to a place with a distraction. Gradually add more distractions and different locations.
