sheets are for people that play other peoples songs, like strings or horns in the studio. you dont ever really need sheet music unless you cant hear, play and memorise music by ear.
Story time~ When I was 16 my mom died of cancer. It was oddly a really liberating thing for me, she and my father were abusive and controlling. Shortly after however my father started cracking down on me. He was awful and did a lot of atrocious things that I don't want to say here. I was living in a locked bathroom to stay away from him. If he caught me It was bad. I tried to commit suicide by taking way too many drugs. I somehow wound up outside during a hard trip. I was listening to Fall Out Boy, so I could have an old friend be with me as I passed. I saw the trees in the woods in my backyard curl into a path, a deer with no skin on it's face walked down a path of stars towards me. He mouthed the words from Coffee for Closers "change will come". I associated this as a positive and started holding hope for change. I stopped trying to leave this world. Things got so much better for me after that. I met such amazing friends who changed my life. I went to Patrick's solo concert later that year. The concert was so so, because my boyfriend at the time managed to loose his glasses in the crowd, and I spent the whole time on my hands and knees crawling around looking for them. What I did managed to see however, I had given a security guard a painting I made of that hallucinated dream that I felt like saved me. When crawling around, I somehow got right up against the stage. I looked up during a song interval. I could have sworn I saw that security guard put the painting on Patrick's piano. I've always wondered if he got it, and if he did, if he could maybe feel how much that weird picture meant to a total stranger. How his voice came through some kind of entity who convinced me to stay on this earth. Sometimes still when I feel similarly helpless, reminiscent of that time when I was so trapped, tortured, and just trying to find relief through death. The pain feels nostalgic, but then I let it go, as I remember how much better it got for me as change did come. It's a lesson that echos for me, any time I find myself growing still in life. "Oh nostalgia, I don't need you anymore".
Just when I think this guy can't possibly be any more amazing he goes and does this. Considering the lyrics, I was afraid the song would be trite, but Patrick has such huge talent and charisma that it goes way past that level.

@SM71794 FOB did change, just listen 2 the diff of "from Under The cork Tree" 2 "Infinity On High" and Folie a Duex sounded like the were trying to get a PATD sound it was almost all electronic. I couldn't mosh to anything on Folie a Duex, and only on Carpal frm Infinity."I slept with someone in FOB" that was the most BA on FUTCT and ANYTHING on Take this to your grave, which was the best album they did. I'm happy for them they just need to say that it's over instead of making us hold our breath
I wonder if you really read our comments, but I love this song. You, Mr. Patrick Stump, are an amazing talent and did not deserve all the bad comments you got for this album. And to be honest it took me time to adjust from FOB to you on our own. But you are amazing, and I love your voice. And it makes me sad I may never see you in concert.
@TheUltraChimp don't get me wrong, i love this song and admire his skill. just as a musician, I imagine he practiced this and maybe did multiple takes before finalizing to youtube, but if there were even 1 error, i would redo it. that's just me. maybe patrick missed his slight error. Very minute to the untrained ear.
@GwenDUff i mean yeah team effort definitely. Fall Out Boy is Fall Out Boy. they played well together and rocked the rooms of so many people of different ages, genders and races. theyre awesome. but without patrick writing the music, their sound wouldve been so totally different.

I love Fall Out Boy, and I do wish they would make more songs, but it's understandable. I wish all the members the best, but look at it this way: the direction Patrick Stump is going, he IS Fall Out Boy. One man band :)

@LittleAsianBear Actually there's a guy called Matt Kurz One that plays guitar with his hands, drums with the strumming hand, one foot and a stick taped to the headstock of the guitar, bass with the other foot, organ with other stick taped to the same headstock and sings. And he plays more than just too chords and a simple drum beat all at the same time. So yea, this is cool butt it's not new neither is one of the best representations of this kind of stuff.
@ToasterRehab . I apologize for that comment. I was only kidding of course. I believe patrick is a very talented musician and this video is certainly an clear example of his gifts. Although some may not be in favor of the song, in my opinion it is hard for me to believe that given the talent displayed here, that someone would take the effort to click the dislike button rather than moving on to another video due to disinterest. This is by far the best version in every way. I know you worked hard on the others but this one is amazing. The song sounds much better stripped down like this and the little pause and drum beat are brilliant. All you would need to do is add some guitar and back up vocals to the chorus and its perfect. Gives the chorus more "oomph" before calming down to the verses again. Please consider it. ILY x

@josnny1 some people get famous with simpler lyrics, and they might be simple to you but they arent to alot other.
