- I'll be showing you how to match your concealer shade easily! I'll explain how you can pick the correct concealer shade to match your skin and simplify the demonstration! It's a really easy way to understand how to match your concealer and get the right shade.
In this video I'll explain how different concealer shades look and how to differentiate so that it's easier on the eye to match your concealer. I'll show you how to swatch your concealer products and where is the best place to swatch them.

Oh my goodness!! I think Google can read my thoughts now lol I am trying to achieve the side you prefer but I end up with the other side. I was being too safe with how dark/light I was going with the concealers! My whole routine was safe before I found you!
I use 2 or 3 different colors of foundation to sculpt. Using concealer to sculpt sounds like a great idea too!

I'm honored to be first here, but you are always first in my book!!! As a mature skin follower, which concealer do you suggest for crepey, dry, dark under eyes? The 2 you mentioned don't work for me, as they accentuate the problems. if it helps, you are my shade twin give or take. I have 4 million concealers in the graveyard I currently have. Have you tried Kosas? I have fairly dark under eye and dry skin. So I usually prep my skin well, hydrating the under eye then wear a color corrector and then apply the concealer. And never bake or use too much powder then it accentuates my creases. Depending on the day, I use mostly use Kosas, Nars soft matte, Uoma or tarte shape tape. I've also recently loved using L'oreal Infallible concealer.
@@DreamerInExile16 Thanks so much for these suggestions. I have tried Kosas-it is nice but I picked up the wrong color! Hence, I needed Nina's video! I've only tried Nars radiant creamy concealer, not the matte one. I will check out the others you suggested! :)

The video I was looking for! Concealer has always been a nightmare because of my white to light olive complexion, depending on the season and time of year. The most difficult task was to find an appropriate concealer and foundation. Drug store cosmetics have no testers for many of their pricey concealer and foundation products. I refuse to purchase concealers without performing a color test as you demonsteate above.

I’ve tried numerous correctors with zero luck. And on 60 yo skin that’s not awful, is layering corrector, concealer AND foundation a bit much? Suggestions?

all depends on your skin tone
I watched the video. If you are trying to correct under eye circles, should you choose a lighter shade that has the same undertones or the opposite undertone? For example, I am a warm undertone and in the past both both cool and warm undertone concealer has been recommended (in a shade lighter) so I am totally confused as to go warm or cool in a shade lighter/brighter. thanks
I would stick to your undertone to be safe but you can cross undertones. So for example, even though my undertone is warm/olive I sometimes use an olive neutral shade. This way, the undertone of olive is the same but it’s not overly warm…more on the neutral side but not cool or pink. Hope that makes sense!

Hi Nina, love your videos. Just have a question. Is there a possibility to still underpaint with tarte concealer? And use your closer to skin tone foundation. That might give darker finish from my understanding?
I don't like pink and yellow undertones, I don't know which shade if hourglass vanish airbrush concealer suits me. I use nyx can't stop won't stop contour concealer light ivory shade. Do you know which shade of hourglass suits me?

What if you’re using concealer to sculpt, blemish and brighten under eye BUT you’re not using any foundation? Then would it be the same shade or still slightly brighter ?

For my concealer would i use a lighter color or try to find a concealer close to my skin tone . I really love your techniques and i want to try the under painting technique but would i need to cover the melasma first with a different color ? Any advice i would greatly appreciate it. Thanks
Glad you enjoy the videos! I would try it with just concealer (Tarte shape tape), so like I’ve done in the video, it shouldn’t still show through but I don’t know how obvious your melasma is but hope this helps 😊

We always look forward to your videos. They're always very informative. I purchased the Chanel foundation and concealer. The concealer matches exactly as my skin tone that I can use it for my foundation. I was disappointed especially with it being expensive. I like to hv a concealer that will brighten my face a little. I really don't want to waste it. Any suggestions?
Thanks for watching! Maybe use the concealer as a foundation but just where you need it on days you don’t want full base - alternatively if you have a much lighter concealer hanging around then add a small amount to it to brighten it

I just want a shade that blends well into my under eyes and looks like I’m not wearing concealer. I don’t wear foundation Don’t even think that’s possible. Minimal darkness, but the struggle is real. Love the NARS creamy radiant

Hi Nina! Thank you for the great explanation. I have some blemishes and dark spots I'd like to cover. I would also like to use the lighter concealer for countering. Would I use the shade that's more similar to my skin tone for covering blemishes and then the lighter for sculpting?

Hi, l have a question, l have huge dark circle under my eye and l am using Tarte medium and medium sand the cover and color is perfect but after using powder to fix l always get caky texture!
