I live here, near Salò. In my opinion the video is confusing because it doesn't follow a north-south path skipping several interesting stages. Starting from the north, Riva del Garda to descend on the west coast of the lake. Stop in Limone del Garda and then descending there is Tremosine with its "strada della Forra", one of the most beautiful roads in the world set in the rock. We then continue towards Toscolano-Maderno and its history of paper. Visit to historic paper mills in the valley. Then there is Gardone Riviera with its natural park and D'Annunzio's Vittoriale degli Italiani. Then it goes down to Salò with its history of the Second World War and the former Republic of Salò. Finally we move towards the south of the lake with Desenzano, Srimione and Bardolino. Going up from the opposite side of the lake we find Torri del Benaco, then Malcesine from where you can go up to Monte Baldo with a panoramic cable car with cabins that rotate 360° to give you breathtaking views. I'll stop here but the tour would be very long. Contact me if you need advice!
Hi there. Where would you suggest staying when visiting the area? Is there somewhere that would allow us to easily access most of these beautiful spots?
Hi Andries. One big thing to consider is... do you have a car or want rent a car? This info could change a lot the location... PS: in the coming months we are planning to create a video about the best hotel, b&b, houses etc to stay near lake Garda (not sure exactly when, but in spring time)
@@TravelCorner360 Thanks for the reply. We are still deciding, but at the moment we were thinking of not renting a car and renting some e-bikes. Will this be limiting? Is public transport a good option to get around?
@@andriesjansevanvuuren9752 You're welcome. E-bikes is a good option. Just to consider: Lake Garda is big, so if you want to visit ALL probably you need days and time. A car is better for flexibility and freedom to go everywhere. E-bikes to enjoy the bike paths, bus to move and cheap, but you have to adapt because you can't go everywhere. In my opinion, just choose a place that you like a lot and look the options that you have starting from that. In some months we are planning to do a video about these kind of info :) PS: did you see the last survey in the community tab? If you have time, and answer would be really appreciate :)
