Great yaght, good innovation and so light and spacious. Great tour as Nick shows the practically of the boat and living space for everyone.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I just love how bright the whole yacht is. There's no dingy room anywhere. It's a stunning Yacht. Thank you Nick.
Always a pleasure! 🙂
Yes definitely a different look, I like this yacht a lot, great finishes and bright colours and a great layout. I like the effect that the solar panels give to the roof it looks awesome. Great tour thank you Nick.
Glad you like it! 🙂
Not super keen on the light patterns caused by these panels, aside from that it's a pretty solid yacht.
This was far from an ordenery boat, fantastic!! 😃👌 but just some questions, i see a lot of solar panels, but 2 diesel engines, will, and can these yachts in the future be all electrical?? Everyone is talking about the green shift and sustainable development, so what will the boat for the future look like in a few years, do you think??
Keep up the good work you do 🫶😃
Really like how they made a feature of those solar panels, and how the roof still lets loads of natural light in. Also nice to see a bookcase in the toilet, it's about time someone realised how useful that is
Wanted to point out the bookcase in the toliet too, but then I saw your comment. Perfect example of human-oriented design done right! 🙂
I love how modern it looks. Light and contrasting colors with sharp edges. Gives it a contemporary and futuristic look at the same time. However that’s about all I like about it. The cockpit looks dull and boring for a ship of this magnitude. Same with the cabins…they’re kind of boring and plain. The layout is kind of weird too. Why is there a day head all the way at the front? I also hate the solar panel windows. I get they have a purpose, but they’re a real eye sore.
It’s as is the Starship Enterprise became a luxury yacht! Love the innovation and use of space! Awesome!!! Thanks as always for the tour!
Our pleasure!
Quite an innovative design approach , love the openness the integrated solar panel glass roof is really nice although I wouldn't be the one to clean it all . An overall fresh concept very modern as you said attempting to move forward from the all yachts tending to look very similar . I really enjoyed this one thanks again Nick for all you do .
You're very welcome! 🙂
Good afternoon, Nick, really enjoying your videos. They are fantastic and I think I’m first
So nearly..! 😄 Glad you like them!
A boat with reasonable crew space. Good to see as normally the crew gets second rate stuff.
I would laugh if one day he opened the bathroom door and someone was on the loo, or in the shower. Now that would be something
Great your, she is certainly different, all on one level which is great if you have mobility problems.
The roof is amazing, unique throwing interesting patterns onto the room's décor and furniture.
The roof adds to the light and the views out with all that glass really makes her feel light and airy. Great tour a nod to the future thanks Nick.
Absolutely love the solar panel ceilings, much better than any retractable roof system. We need to se this incorporated into more yachts.
I have to admit my first thought with great looking Yachts like this is "That doesn't look like it could handle any kind of weather!". As anyone who has had any length of experience with motoring or sailing will tell you. Once you get sufficiently off shore the sea can become extremely choppy. You either endure it (if you are sailing) or hit the stabilisers and endure less of it. You also don't have anything like loose furniture and fittings about the place. Of course the bigger the boat the more weather it takes to affect it. However, while all that glass looks cool. I would be afraid to be standing under that in a storm.
That's extraordinary, such a feeling of space and light. Excellent tour as always Nick.
Many thanks!
I've always felt like I wanted the bigger yachts, but I like the layout on this one, if I changed anything it would be minor and easily doable. I miss seeing a fly-bridge and the extra space, however, one of the other perks of having a setup like this is the ability (possibly) to do the Great Loop. If it is capable of doing the Loop, then losing some of the standard features on boats this size would be worth the tradeoff. I could keep a constant charter just running the Loop with this, very profitable. The price is actually fair for a boat that's only a year old. I'd recommend this boat to a potential buyer.
That's honestly one of the most beautiful boats I've ever seen!
Very beautiful, but… no fly bridge! No view forward and very noisy while sailing and sitting just above the engines. There is a good reason why all other boats have a fly bridges.
Thanks Nick, fine tour. The Acadia is indeed very light and bright, and the large open air section aft that is mostly shaded is appealing. Not too sure the layout is practical however -- very generous guest quarters for eight, but quite cramped crew quarters for maybe four but more likely two or three. No crew mess whatsoever. Not adequate crew space for a chef, deck hand, captain and engineer. The galley is definitely a one-person space. I wonder if the glass solar panel roof is more than a mere curiosity? I saw two generators in a somewhat densely-packed engine room. Oh well, for the right owner it will be pleasant coastal cruiser.
I get the vibe this is for entertaining where most people won’t be there for meals or sleeping OR something like the coastal cruising you mention, sans dedicated chef (perhaps other crew and family fill the role).
Definitely more specific and less “practical” than traditional designs!
What an ingenious design! Love it. But Nick, you need to find a way to go Wireless! I keep waiting for you to get tangled up while climbing down some of those engine space ladders. Be safe and thank you for your wonderful contributions.
You're very welcome!
I do love the interior here. It's like being on a starship! I'm not *quite* sold on the overall exteroir appearance, but I do love what's inside! It's got the feel of a 1920s/1930s gentleman's motor yacht for the 21st century. Great find, Nick!
Is there any issue about the heat that produces these panels?
Wow, If DWELL designed /built a MY, this is IT. But, coming from a naval background (USN Retired), I can't help but wonder how this vessel would fare on the High Seas? So much glass in the structure, the cramped engine room (Do like the Lazarette though.). My mindset is roaming the 7 Seas (Solar Array is Awesome; What is the size of the Battery Bank?) and Fleming/Northern Marine/Nordhavn is the design ethos I am most comfortable with. The FPB Philosophy of design does intrigue me though. Fair Winds & Following Seas🤙!
Nick, I’m thinking I would rather get scurvy than go 2000+ miles at 7-8 knots? 🤷♂️😂 Definitely a cool yacht presented by a cool dude!! 👍
I shall reserve your 'big boat' criteria (furniture not pushed up against the walls) for future use. :-)
Also, "can I fit a 3D printer in the engine room?". In this boat the answer is "yes". In my view, boat manufacturers ought to supply a 3D printer, with a dedicated space, filament that resists humidity, and/or the 3D models of all printable and replaceable parts. So if you're out cruising somewhere and a doodad breaks, you can print a replacement - maybe not original quality, but enough to functionally work and get you back to civilization without compromising anything.
IDK if I had the means to shell out that kind of dough, I'd spend it on a boat that might look like a marine version of the Pontiac Aztek to the boating public in 10 years. If you're rich enough to change your "on the water mansion" as often as you change your socks, I guess this indulgence isn't much of a risk. The performance is great...2500 miles from a boat that can top out at 17 knots isn't something you hear too often. Not my style but an impressive design effort.
Nice to see something different I often feel a lot of yachts are so similar and have to much unnecessary deck space...
A lovely, relaxed tour. Very comfortable. I love how the layout is atypical and asymmetric. Very refreshing take. I like the retro 50s diner style of the exterior of the the galley. However the interior of the galley looks too small and cramped. Only one person at a time could work in there. Somewhat uninviting, especially for an owner who likes cooking while talking to their guests. Crew quarters looked cramped too. Does the designer or owner not like their staff? Overall, this unusual layout and the style from the outside are very enjoyable.
I think my tastes are a little too conservative for this beautiful yacht. I can see why younger people could appreciate it though. I like comfy and cosy LOL. 👍
Crew quarters were small for a new vessel, must be hard to get good crew members to stay long.
The solar panels look cool but they get extremely hot, 180F+. They are useless as they would increase the power demand on the AC far more than the power they provide.
Nice, but the finishes look cheap. At least on the screen. Also, you should stop filming while navigating the ladders, please.
When David had this on his channel, I had made the quite unpopular tto him opinion, that I thought this yacht was not very stylish and not something that would sell quickly. He disagreed. Hoever, here we are ao ost a year, maybe a year or more and they still have it, in the world of an 85 foot yacht, this just has a ton of negatives and you need that one buyer looking especially for this and those people are rare,
Nice boat but...reminds me a bit of a Sydney Harbour dinner cruiser. Would love to see Nick taking these out for a spin, especially this one as it is so unusual.
I love the solar it's a great efficiency move, it'll take most of the pressure off the generators while at anchor during the day. For some reason I like the crew shared shower, since each cabin has its own head the shared shower feels like a great space compromise.
I'm not a big fan of the engineering area though. Poor access, poor access to laundry and refrigeration... forget access to them while underway or if you have a jetski in that garage.
Nice except for the mechanical space. It really needs an easier access especially for doing laundry. Maybe put a day head down there also for washing your hands...
I've seen newer versions of this shipbuilder, good stuff... Very interesting design
What an exquisite vessel. 5kw is a respectable amount from the panels. I am unsure on the design on the port side next to the bulkhead to galley.
Wounder presentation as usual! I'm a sailor, yet watch almost all of your motorboat tours so I appreciate everything afloat, but I have to say, this one should be taken out and scuttled.
I couldn’t help but think the solar panels gave it a greenhouse feel inside, yes they are useful to have but I wonder if the reflections might be a factor some people won’t like. For the rear area i would prefer a retractable electric roof that slides away neatly and does the job. Yes it’s a decent idea but to me doesn’t fully utilise its potential, maybe there’s options that could be better for some folk as opposed to others.
Different, in a very good way. Nice to see some variance. Had to believe it's 85 feet (but very wide).
Not a super yacht. But has decent crew quarters if you want four man combo captain/mate/engineer/cook. Has decent standing room in engine room. Not a lotbof choices for placement of crew mess. The table near helm station is going to be a crew mess. Nice low end yacht for the budget conscious owner that does not want to operate it
Living space looks nice but there's not much room to prepare/layout food in the galley for 8 people, and have to laugh at where the laundry facilities are - down that hatchway through the engine room and around the back in the corner! They're having a laugh with that one.
So Nick… A couple of questions… I did not see a single TV on this boat, did you forget to show us where they were tucked away or didn’t it have any…? And second question… Do you own socks that are NOT yellow? 🤣 And lastly, I’m slightly disappointed there was no mirrorwave… Come on Nick, you’re better than this! 😉😘
There was a mirror wave! 😄
@@AQUAHOLIC No way… Really…? Damn I missed it… So about the TV’s… Were there any?
I saw at least 3 TV’s, VIP Cabin, Owners Cabin and in the social area nearest the galley.
Not sure how I missed this one...
That's the first time I've noticed a mini library in a cabin toilet... Clearly the owner at the time tucked himself away with a good book 😊
Very strange design - withering away as if done incompetent specialists
Absolutely love this. Typically my preference is the more traditional boat along the lines of Nordhavn but this is absolutely fantastic.
Love the tours as always Nick... I see tours of other boats on YT and always think I'd love to see Nick give this tour.
Many thanks!
A floating 4 star hotel, 5 star if you think the ocean as your swimming pool.
The layout and design of this boat is awesome! The colors are dreadful!
Fantastic Yacht for the money!!
That's definitely a bit of something different thay have definitely thought out side the box when designing it
I doubt this boat will sell good
Too avant garde for me. I'm a more traditional man. It is a beautiful boat though, just not for me.
a nice boat, I like it when they rip-up the rule book!
But, a solid solar roof please
With that amount of solar panels I wonder if the yacht could electric drive with a small generator for back up?
BMW launched new yacht
Interesting design bc you lose so much floor space for not going up, great high ceilings tho!
Intriguing boat! I am disappointed by the engine room access and seems cramped?
I need to add 3 foot to that boat and have a bigger kitchen.
That narrow galley would do my nut in!
First
YES!! 🎉
Elegant craftsmanship, though rather pale and colorless.
Very different and some interesting design features. But not adding it to my Euromillions list.
Comes complete with a library in the owners cabin loo - what more could you want?
Very beautiful, absolutely fabulous!
very cool but an acquired taste. not for everyone. still cool though
The solar panels are ugly. The whole "renewable energy" thing is ugly.
A very unusual yacht. Very Desirable as well. Offering the crew a shared shower instead of two wet heads is a very smart solution.
That does not look safe for open water.
Yes. It doesn't feel safe
For 4.4 million you get the noise the water makes for free.
It looks dated contemporary. Nice boat though
Me: all these yachts are the same
Also me when seeing a yacht thats different: I dont like it
this would have been a good one for Marianne to review! why are you hiding her from us
Very unusual nick , tonne of windolene needed tho , any Tv in main salon ?
How much of the ship's power needs are met by those solar panels?
Isn’t that going to be a floating greenhouse with all those solar panels?
Biutiful yach 😊
Can you buy Aquaholic yellow socks in your online store?
Crackaling on!
Definitely a different layout but very nice and well lit all over.
Fair weather n smooth seas boat. I would not want to hit rough seas in this.
Nick’s natty sock tours continue in style!
Great looking yacht with plenty of space and light. Brilliant!
😎
Arcadia does some very impressive work. You toured one at Dusseldorf before the pandemic which was equally innovative. Thank you for the great tour as always.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Will we ever see the return of Aquaholic socks?
My friend I've been a AQUAHOLICFANATIC for a few years now. Nick some how you make every video seem like the 1st video I've seen. If I win the BIG lottery you and the lovely Mary Ann are onboard ASAP!!
Awesome, thank you!
Where's the battery that stores energy from solar panels?
That poor crew member on laundry duty...
So different I love this one Nick bright and airy with so much space could see myself on something like this one day. Thanks for showing us around Nick
Glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
Definitely different. I think I missed your wave. Great to see new concepts happening. Flexibility will become much more common I think.
It was there! 👋🏻
Lovely interior. Great for warmer climes me thinks. For all its solar, I'm surprised that it doesn't have a more advanced electrical propulsion system like that you showed on another yacht recently. Thanks for the tour Nick!
You're very welcome 🙂
Unless you just film multiple weeks in advance, Idk how you pump out so many videos so quickly. Great work as always. Just don’t know if I’d want to spend $4.4 million on a single story yacht..I’d rather use that money as a down payment on the last yacht you showed! Lol
I'm very very busy! 😃
Lots to like but I’m hoping that the normal access to the engine room & laundry facilities is through the garage. That ladder down you took would be quite the challenge carrying laundry or equipment. The solar panels created quite a pattern on the interior by the sunlight. Thanks Nick for introducing us to quite a unique yacht.🙏🇨🇦👍
My pleasure! 🙂
Please explain why you call the singular head's as plural as in day heads??? I have been on boats and ships my entire life and it is referred to as the head...not heads.... so please et me know if this is a UK thing. Love the tours and won't stop viewing over this....LOL but curious of the vernacular used.
You are correct, it is indeed a UK thing. No idea why.
Wow a boat that doesn’t look like every other one!
When you see her from the outside she doesnt look so big when you show the inside the areas are much bigger, feels solid and bright. The pianopaint is smart with the refection, feeling gets more specious. The solarpanel reflects nicely inside. You said you are 6.1, arent you 6.2? ;-)
I'm shrinking... 😳
Photovoltaic panels not solar ...
Something very different… would this boat be designed more for the canal cruising in Europe? Is it rated for the seas and the roughness that they can throw at you whilst at sea? Very intriguing… might be a great boat for the great loop? Wow 😮 to the 4.4 million dollar 💵 price tag?
What would make you think that it's not rated for seas, it's a 26 metre 80 tonne yacht! 🙂
I hope where ever you go in that boat it does not hail .
$4 million now is the new 1 million from 2019
While I can appreciate this boat I’d much rather have a bridge deck or maybe even a tri-deck. Great video as always. Thanks
Thanks for watching!
For now , the only way I would get to stay on that boat is as crew , not likely ,
Still cool to see how the workers live .
Only space for four with all those guests ?
Why bother with a fly bridge ?
Hmm same socks as from the other video , missed a mirror wave , where was maggie ?
Four crew is entirely normal for a boat of this size, mirror wave was in the video, so was Maggie, and are they the same socks? Or are they an identical pair..? 🤔
