I would love to see more of these videos. I havent done most of the bosses yet so this is great information! Know I know when to use my cool downs thank yoy
Def enjoyed the video!!! And your most recent one on M+'s was great too! It feels like i'm clicking the right buttons for rotations but I continually see where I can improve and you simming and warcraft logs videos have helped. I've been improving every week for sure. Can't wait to see more videos on other bosses.
Love the video, great work! And good job on the top log! Quick suggestion: Maybe a followup Q&A video for each boss, where viewers can leave you questions here, in these comments and you pick the ones you think most relevant and make a follow up video answering them :)
Amazing video! As a heal main that likes to dpa sometimes this is super useful, as I don't have a lot of exp of my own and this helps me to know what to do.
Good video, I appreciate you stressing that doing the fight properly should always be paramount to numbers. One thing I would add is people often have this misperception of logs and how well they illustrate a player's abilities. Obviously getting a #1 parse is really fun and something that's enjoyable to strive for, but a lot of things have to go right in order for it to happen. You have to get lucky and not get targeted for every mechanic, how your guild chooses positioning, etc. If anything I would suggest striving for purple parses is a solid goal to strive for. That puts your damage above 75% of the people doing the same content which is more than sufficient to be an asset to most guilds. On the other side a lot of raid leaders think if a player doesn't have orange parses they must be terrible, which is laughably untrue. Solid purple parses, particularly with low levels of unnecessary damage taken, are often better indicators of solid players than the one off #1 parse or orange parse.
@@porkch0mp538 Of course, I would expect a former world first caliber player to still maintain a 90% and up parse average for sure. My point was that orange parses need a lot of things to go right to even happen and judging applicants to guilds based on it can be very narrow-minded.
@@porkch0mp538 its really important to play in a competent guild if you want to parse well, as you said having to run around doing mechanics that other players fail to do or just weird raid movement can all hurt your parse a lot.
Ty for this fight guide its awesome I already completed the fight on heroic a few times looking forward to doing it on mythic also your weak auras are awesome
Amazing guide thanks a lot! We will start our HC run today so this was the perfect timing ;-) The best part was "Call the people Idiots that get hit by the sonic waves" especially when you lost it a little yourself there. Keep up the great work!
Speaking of Cooldown Usage, would you in a raid scenario practically always wait on Celestial alignment for Convoke using Balance of all Things? Could not seem to find anything about that.
If the fight is more then 4 minutes but less than 6 mins you will get 2 celestial and 3 convokes maximum. Try to line up your second celestial with your third convoke provided waiting that 1 minute will not stop a third use of celestial in the fight. Try to always have celestial up for convoke but don't waste a use of convoke over the full length of the fight.
Thank you so much!! I main resto but my guild asked if I could go boomkin on some of the bossfights. my dps was kinda emberassing so I really needed some pointers :D besides flask, food, rune and the on use spectral int pot are there any other consumables I can bring?
Hey Naguura, in your guide you mentioned your single target rotation, but I have one question. I am currently using empyrial ordinance trinket, should I wait for my ordinance buff before popping cooldowns and casting convoke or should I go with my single target rotation?
I actually have the same question. I feel like the buff you get from lust and potions etc on pull might be better than the int from the trinket but I haven't tested it. Been looking out for the Kyrian divine bell but haven't been lucky yet..
How do you align Convoke an Celestial Alignment? Do you use Convoke on cooldown or do you wait until your Celestial is ready? Diff between M+ and Raid? (Ofc dependent on encunter time) @Naguura
Cause usually its the "calmest" part of the fight and every class got it´s cd´s rdy. If you look at it its a good thinking to use BL for execute, but most of the time there is movement involved and not that many classes have executes and not to mention the cd´s uptime for everyone. Either you use it for Pull if you have a Boss on farm, or you use BL for the Part which your guild/group struggles during the encounter to progress and learn the fight.
I have a issue with timers. Things like phase changes and intermissions are easy bcuz you can check them on logs or they depend on Boss health. But what with all the other timers we encounter on other Boss fights? Like adds spawning and other mechanics which may prevent optimal damage burst? Where can i check all of this timers? DBM seems showing to me only aproximate time of each mechanics probably will start but how can i prepare strategy for my cooldowns before the fight?
Heyhey! Yeah, sometimes it's impossible to know exactly when an add is going to spawn because it varies. But there usually is an approximate timer for the add, if you know the boss fight properly then you can tell what it's dependend on. So in those cases you will have to adapt on the fly during the fight and can't 100% prepare each CD usage beforehand. But you can check your own logs after the fight and see if some of the add spawns were consistent. If an add spawned consinstently around the same time for you (because u always have similar damage) then you can prepare for it next time !
@@Naguura Ok thanks, adds spawning situation is clear but what with other mechanics? Like, lets say Hungering Destroyer and timers for Consume/Expunge/Volatile Ejection. Can we pepare for this before fight? Is there any spreadsheet with those timers or what they depend on ? Or they are pure random and we need to adapt in real-time ?
@@sedethul3703 the DBM timers for hungering are pretty accurate. And then I'm sure there are WA for the durations of expunge/miasma and consume casts at 100 energy
Hello! as a deaf World of Warcraft player myself, i find your videos useful, however this one is not captioned. mind checking to make sure the video language is set to english. YT will take care of the rest :-)
Hey! I am glad you like my videos, thank you! I will change that, still have to figure out how captions/subtitles get handled on youtube, but will do that asap 👍🏻
Amazing video! Very clarifying! Gratz on the 1st rank! Please do more content like that!

Would be nice if the video could be a bit shorter :)
I enjoy how you approach these guides. Knowing when to use your Cool downs is amazing

Not sure if this is wrongly worded or not, but if you're clicking your spells that is the first thing you should change to improve yourself.
