Its a pleasure viewing your videos ,really interesting ,did not agree with the chap on about selling he rusty old tools at all ,but I bet the scrap yard love you ,those huge transformers and motors have loads of number 2 copper ,they are 100% worth stripping down .
This is the trouble when someone that doesn’t have a clue about doing scrap ! It’s not just about a bit of non ferrous it’s about the collectibles and stuff that you wouldn’t think about that’s worth silly money , if you don’t have time then sell it all to someone for the same as you would get in the iron yard No offence but you needed to sort all through that and make time some of them spanner’s etc are worth more than the whole load of scrap that you have just weighed in , instead of worrying about little pieces of brass for pennies you just thrown away a lot more in valuable goods
@slimshady6718 lol don't have a clue There is piles of this stuff in the yard every day there is also piles of it at the boot fairs up and down the country no one wants this old shit I don't have time or space to keep it all scrap is part time for me youtube pays way more that the scrap ever will I still have a pile of stuff in the van that is worth a bit more that scrap but that's all it is scrap
He already said he hadnt got time to pick through it all … you want to sit on a carboot to earn an extra 20p when you could be fishing or making another video … only one person clueless here mushy pea
He grabs the items that are more valuable to him scrap wise. Yes I agree that it had some decent, Old and rusty tools yet my mate gets the items he will sell quickly. He hasn't got the room or space to put these type of tools ECT. No need to disrespect people too big fella. A channel you can watch is poly prophet, he keeps stuff and sells it.
I can see why he doesn’t keep and try and sell stuff like old tools. Nobody really wants to pay any money for anything without it being snap on or similar. Nobody cares anymore about the old quality branded tooling. Even engineering companies now buy new off the shelf Chinese shite. Then when it gets worn out or lost they just buy another one. Could end up with being stuck with it for ages then end up scrapping it anyway. And you say say sell it to someone for scrap value. It would still take time to find a buyer that’s willing to collect. He may aswell cash in at the scrap yard and get the quick cash.
@Ben-up7xi exactly that mate it would take at least a week trying to find someone gaf interested that would cost me sooo much in lost money having the van full up With the copper and brass I have and the couple of bits I did save it will probably be a 600 quid payday I'm more than happy with that I'm not a greedy man if the other scrap men pull something out the pile and make a few quid out of it then fair play to them
You’ve done the right thing. There’s thousands of garages around the country full like this it’s only worth what it weighs and I’m a engineer in his mid fifties. Others who think you’ve scrapped anything that’s worth a fortune tell them to go to the car boot on a Sunday morning it’s full of people with this sort of stuff and struggling to sell it. Cracking videos by the way👍
As you said you know folks gonna be outraged at some of the tools you weighed in as scrap iron, I know sometimes time space and money have different priorities, I saw several small items worth more than a couple of quid, skimmed , you kept small bits of brass yet skimmed a copper welding torch neck, the DTI (small clock ) in with the magnifying glass, was worth more on a boot sale, as was the Britool socket set, small but quite collectible, but as you said you didn’t have the time. Still thanks for sharing . 😢
My cuzzy , never mind the keyboard Karen’s banging on about the stuff you should have kept bla bla bla .. I don’t see them chucking a video up . Brilliant video as always . Look forward to your uploads here in newzealand and happy to see you put the graft in and get the rewards . 💯 percent legend 🤙
i knew you get some criticism in the comments about throwing out valuable stuff.people gotta realise its all time, space, effort.perhaps in time you might be able to get a little yard then you can sort a bit more anyways cracking video.i looked on your fishing channel was hoping to see a crabbing video, maybe it aint season.good luck happy scrapping
