You and I did it the same way. I've had Hybrids, and know in advance that I'm going to lose a couch or a bed when they're young. Knowing in advance helps me prepare. This wolf is so so beautiful..cute he's right still a wolf but he didn't attack anyone.. ..he's a wolf and that's cool!!..i love animals so much and i whish i can have this cute wolf..💕💜
First of all its a wolf/dog hybrid second of all you do not want this animal trust me. Now I study these kinds of things so I know. First there is the obvious fact that these two breeds are not meant to be cross breed. It is quite frankly like trying to get a hummingbird and an eagle to breed its simply not right. Second of all it takes a great amount of responsibility and willingness to care for this animal. They need a lot of space and are highly intelligent compared to normal dogs plus they can be up to 3 times bigger then a normal dog like a labrador and lastly whenever two very different breeds get breed together the animal is always going to be more of one of the species then the other like with size or personality or even both. That of course means that there is a chance (and a big one) that you will race an animal that is more wolf than dog. We al know how that ends if the owner doesn't have any experience with having a hybrid of any species.
My 150 lbs Alaskan husky/ wolf ,Eli. 50/50. He's 11 now and have had him since a puppy. He was part of the Butte, mt. Rescue. Loves mt. Loves the cold 20 below is his weather. Chase's bears or at least use to. Loves people and is the best puppy I've ever had. Wolf hybrids get bad press , good work showing how great these dogs can be.
What is this common belief that wolfs need the cold? Huskies can live in -70° and thrive in the warm climate also. Wolfs and huskies(commonly crossbred) are masters of adaptation. They shed the undercoat and you will see them sunbathing then retreat to the shade. Its not the open desert were talking about.
What an animal, I hope he's still doing well! Thank you for all your hard work, you're really doing something useful taking care of all these abandoned God's creatures. Watching Yuki reminds me so much of my own Blackie, you can see him a bit in my boating videos. He's also a wolf/husky/german sheppard mix, 60lbs, got the pointy ears and all black except for his belly. Got him in Aug 2008, he just turned 12 this last St. Patrick's day and he's still doing great! Loves going for runs with me on my bicycle. Again he acts just like Yuki, though I guess Blackie is not quite as "wolfie", just last year has gotten to like sleeping on my bed with me at night. But he has this stare where he puts his head down and stares up at you, real wolfie looking, and you're right, he is quite selective of strangers. We don't have a lot of visitors, but it seems to be hit or miss on how he receives them. Same diet as Yuki, chicken legs and pork, and same 'inhaling' of his food (chomp gulp gone!). I've never had a problem hand-feeding him, he's quite careful around my fingers with his teeth - I also give him cooked chicken leg bones after we're finished with them, and I hold them and let him bite off half at a time so he doesn't choke on the lol! But yes it's taken about 8 years for him to finally be relaxed and trusting us around his food while he's eating, he doesn't mind now. Same wolfie suspicious nature, if he doesn't want to go somewhere you can't tempt him, even with a steak, he just stares at me lol! Really enjoyed watching this, keep up all your good work! Cheers!~ Bellarmine
“you don’t want your fingers anywhere near a wolves mouth while you’re feeding him” she says as she puts her fingers right near his mouth while she’s feeding him
Respect to all yous people that care for these beautiful animals.. it's always the same story people buy these animals because they look cute as pup's but then they grow and the scumbags lose interest in them and or they mistreat them I'm just glad that all those animals Are in a place where they will be loved and cared for 👍✌️
I use to work at an animal care center. They groomed, overnight facility for dogs and cats, like an animal hotel. Anyhow we had a hybrid come in which was 50% dog 50% wolf. Her name was Ember. She was so sweet and I learned the wolf part of her one day when I was feeding her. I open up her kennel and put her bowl right by the door and noticed I spilled some of her food. Not thinking for that moment in time, I opened her kennel slightly up and went to grab the food it's spilled out of her bowl. She then proceeded take her stance and growl unlike a dogs growl because I touched her food. Then after she was done eating she was the sweetest dog. I learned my lesson very quickly never to forget that she was part wolf.
He's huge... My advice to people do your research before you think of having a wolfdog as a pet...and make sure your prepared cause these animals are not like your everyday dog..
It's not fair to the animal. It has genes that tell it to act in a way that is contrary to what people want in a domestic pet. I think it's the height of selfishness to get one of these animals. They shouldn't be bred in the first place. With the millions of homeless dogs and cats in the US alone, there's no reason to beeed animals that will end up in rescue centers. If you want a pet, you can easily get one from a shelter/Humane Society.
The fact you would pay money for a wolf dog is why they exist in these conditions. If you buy one, then the demand for these possibly dangerous and definitely risky animals continues. I know you just wanna do the right thing, but the right thing isn't always so clear cut.
@@delaney6413 they aren't dangerous if you train then right. Only people who have never had big dogs would be in danger. People buy ACTUAL wolf Cubs and train them If you see videos they act just as fine as any dog would towards humans but is extremely dangerous to other animals because if they start running the prey drive kicks in. But no wolf dogs are not wild animals they're just a mixture. The reason wolves are aggressive is because that's how they are taught to survive by the pack from a young age. There's a experiment in russia where they tried to domesticate grey wolves, it took 2 generations of wolves being grown up as pets before a mutation started and they started to look more like dogs and less like wolves also aggression and defensiveness was completely removed from the wolves they were essentially bigger huskys with bigger teeth that's it
I think it honestly depends on how u raise one, diet, and environment. Because if u don’t have those proper things for a dog like that I think u shouldn’t own one.

My brother found a coyote/shepherd pup 10 years ago and he's been living a happy life. He's small, smart, and very defensive.

Noooooo
Shouldn't be be in a cold atmosphere than burning hot Florida?! Poor pup!
They keep them in the shade, and they keep him groomed
Wolves live in all sorts of climates, so he probably has his summer coat grown in year round
What grade are u in cause theres something called adaptation
What is this common belief that wolfs need the cold? Huskies can live in -70° and thrive in the warm climate also. Wolfs and huskies(commonly crossbred) are masters of adaptation. They shed the undercoat and you will see them sunbathing then retreat to the shade. Its not the open desert were talking about.
Austin Thompson Wolfs are not Huskies...
The starks would be proud of you for taking care of a dire wolf 🐺
It's all fun and games 'til he impersonates your grandma.

Respect to all yous people that care for these beautiful animals.. it's always the same story people buy these animals because they look cute as pup's but then they grow and the scumbags lose interest in them and or they mistreat them I'm just glad that all those animals Are in a place where they will be loved and
cared for 👍✌️

Wished these “breeders”, sellers and buyers would just let wild animals succeed as wild animals....
I kind of agree. From books, I have learnt that wolf-dogs are unable to survive in the wild... :(
I love all different breed of wolves, they need love.
They shouldn't even be pets at all. Most are in rescues and will not be adopted
What a beautiful boy!
Who the hell would even think of putting down this beast man. I would pay good money to have a wolf dog like Yuki...
I don’t care what anyone says, Yuki is a good boy! Big boy! Love!
