One excellent secondary city that is close to Sao Paulo is Jundiaí, SP. The cost of living is much less and the town is less chaotic. When I was traveling to a smaller town to visit a language exchange partner, I passed through Alphaville which replicates a wealthy suburb of the US. Personally am trying to get away from that style of life. I enjoy walking instead of driving and I enjoy mingling with people. I do prefer the secondary towns where it is convenient to visit a larger city, but where I have a calmer less chaotic experience most days. I really enjoyed Floripa, SC though I need to determine which kind of Brazilian culture I prefer. So, I am planning on visiting the locations in Minas Gerais including the capital Belo Horizonte. I do prefer a temperate climate. Curitiba Parana is a very orderly city, but I might prefer people who are a bit more extroverted on average.
Groceries were definetly cheaper than US. I would normally pay close to $40 for just the meats... everything just got super expensive these past two years lol
it's not a third world country. it's called developing country. cuba, haiti, ethiopia, and eritrea are considered third world. as you mentioned there's people with money there. so how is that even close to third world?
