- It is time to install some bucket seats in the '55 Chevy! We are now one step closer to going racing at Rocky Mountain Race Week!

Love the trick way to mount the seats. I'm going to use that concept when I put my buckets into my 55. It's easier than the way then the way I was going to do it.

The brackets turned out nice. Simple but effective mounting solution. Long way from making up my mind on what type of seats I am going to use, but this video gave me ideas on mounting mine as well. Hope the shoulder is better by now. Keep the progress rolling. Mobbin"

Well done on the seat brackets. That 9" housing looks great. Now i wish I would have spent the extra money when I bought my QP 9" for the fabricated housing you went with. Mob on....

When you tap your round rod if you do it before you weld it you might have better luck the welding will harden the metal
Thanks for the tip. I had heard it was better to do it before so the welding doesn't warp or fill the threads with spatter, etc. But it was a pain so I'll try your way next time. Thanks for watching!

Do you remember how long and what angle you had the rear down tubes bent for the roll bars. I like the way they went down by the back glass. I have a two door HT 55 Chevy. I like the way you do things on your car. I'll be watching. Albert in Dallas

All the originals I found were trash, and still super expensive. I woulda loved me some Impala seats in there though. Good luck finding something.

Thanks Charles. So far I am happy with the seats. I like the look, and they feel pretty comfortable for the little I have sat in them. They were fairly inexpensive, which is nice, but I am curious to see how they hold up over time.

You fell? Man. If you aren't careful you will be all beat up like me. And believe me... it's not easy to get things done that way.

Hi Brad, looking at the rear and I can’t remember because it’s been some time but did you do the pocket spring mod on the 55? The rear tires look great.
Hey Rodney thanks for watching. I did do the pocket kit, and mini tub in order to fit them tires in there. I am still a bit worried about getting them in/out of the wheel opening once the rear is in place. Fingers crossed it's not a huge deal...
Nice seats! I saw another fellow bought them and got the big ass seat bracket. He sent that back and got individual ones. I'm sure yours cost a lot less. What is your email ? Are you anywhere close to Billings? My kids are in Cody WY. We go to Billings. Looking forward to the rear-end installation.
