What updates did Gravely roll out with the 2022 ZT HD mower?
To find the difference, you have to go to the mower deck itself!
In 2021, the Gravely ZT HD had the X-Factor II deck, which has been out for several years. Gravely has been looking for ways to make it easier to maintain the mower deck and improve the cut quality, and that is what led them to release the X-Factor III deck on their pro series…and now, in 2022, they've introduced it to the HD series!
What changed? With the X-Factor III deck, there is a slight slope on the front of the deck to give grass more room to stand up, resulting in fewer straggles and better stripes. The covers are also easier to remove/clean.
The seemingly minor updates with the X-Factor III deck are incredibly valuable for those of you who are dealing with taller grass, as it will give you cleaner cuts!

Bought a new 2023 Gravely ZT HD 60 on 03-22-2024, from Gautreaux’s Outdoor Power in Baton Rouge, LA.
Just got a 2022 ZT HD 60 last week. Your video comparing the ZTX, Xl, and HD was very helpful in my decision making.

This was a helpful video. Looking at a Mach 1 60" with the XF3 deck. With the bigger deck opening, more depth and more room from deck front to actual blade tip along with how it passes clippings through the deck, I assume you are also getting longer grass clippings coming out. So, how does this handle mulching up/discharging fall leaves? Does it just blow them out without really mulching them up that much?

My Gravely Dealer is currently running a special on the Pro Turn Z, it is the same price as the HD60. I am trying to decide on which mower to get. I get more features on the Pro Turn Z, but I get the Kawasaki engine on the HD60 vs the Gravely branded engine on the Pro Turn Z. Any help would be appreciated in choosing which Model to purchase....

I am in same boat! I can get the Pro Turn Z for same price but unsure about this Gravely Branded engine. The HD with Kawasaki is sold. My current XL for 12 years has that engine and its never even coughed!
@@jtc1333 I am heading out today to the Gravely dealer. I think Loncin makes the Gravely branded engines. I am leaning toward the Pro Turn for the added features. Good luck on which everyone one you decide on..👍
I have multiple proturn z mowers and I am regretting it. The gravely engine has some major issues past 1,000 hours. Stick with the Kawasaki motor at all cost! I am unloading all my gravely engine proturn z mowers. Zt hd or upgrade to the proturn zx. Also the Xfactor 3 deck is a game changer! Absolutely amazing cut quality and grass dispersion with it. 🇺🇸
Hi, are there differences between the 2022 ZT HD and 2023? Looking into purchasing the 44” cut, since it’s almost the end of the year not sure if it’s wise to wait! 😀

Unfortunately, I think they’re garbage. I had a deck break and a clutch go within six months.
