Brian Cox is the teacher I wish I had... He explains everything so calmly, and he doesn't talk down to you. He makes sure you understand, by using language even I would understand.
As a teacher, I think Brian is a shining exemplar of the passion and curiosity we should instil in our student. The connections he makes that are traditionally considered separate, such as democracy to black holes, is next level. This is what I hope to inspire ❤️🌎
Danica has impressed me as an interviewer on Sky F1 where she asks really awkward and probing questions. She and Brian certainly gave us a very good show. More please.
A host that lets someone answer their questions (smart not dumb questions). A brilliant person answering the questions in depth but very understandable way. Well done for both!
@USA TAMONDOMUNI Incorrect, old Norse influenced English but High German is a relatively modern standardisation so your "from" relation is obviously wrong. Modern German gives English words like Schadenfreude and Zeitgeist while Germany in Germany is heavily polluted by English
@@RobBCactive, when someone types an ESSAY like that, which is clearly full of drivel, on what is basically a social media base, you know they're talking a load of cr*p, one reason is because it's that long, not many are going to read through the whole of that fgs, you may as well switch the screen off and read a darn book.
Danica, I want to praise you for being a great interviewer and more importantly, a great listener. Most interviewers don't have the ability to listen, to let the guest share their knowledge and experiences, but you do. Love that! I can also tell that you have a genuine interest in the topics of your guests. I appreciate a real interest because it makes for a real, deep thinking interview.
Danica went on to interviewing because she never really competed well in races or driving. She tried several types of formats, and never was very good.
@@jameskelly8506she made it to Formula Indy and NASCAR. That means she’s more successful than 99% of race car drivers and can most certainly run laps around you and me.
Danica finds the most interesting people to have a conversation with. Loved this guy’s work for years and years. She’s very skilled at covering numerous topics and always guiding it to the meaning of our existence here
My grandson and I once saw a couple that had sunburned after a day at the beach. When I asked him to think about how powerful the object that caused their sunburn must be to burn their skin from 93 million miles away. That really blew his mind! Now he can’t get enough science documents. It doesn’t matter if it’s about weather, nature, space exploration, the ocean, construction or farming he’s all in. You just never know what will peak a kids interest and set them off on their voyage of discovery.
The "Power" of the Sun is moot. Its Ultraviolet Radiation that caused the sunburns. Tanning beds & Lamps will do it,too,& you can be within a few feet of them. Oh,& its "Pique",not "Peak"
Okay - I just stumbled on Danica's channel here in the middle of the night - and have to say I'm hugely impressed. The lady obviously has a deep, natural curiosity about a great many things, and the way she steered the conversation to let Prof. Cox "do his thing" was masterful. I'll definitely be back for more.
She has the skills, it's all good. Anyone with a half decent brain, can do what she is doing, the thing is, not many people, believe me, have the capacity to think outside the box, and keep questioning things that others are seriously curious about, most people are seriously narrow minded.
Brian Cox is a complete new world order mind control muppet, he's just a really boring parrot, I only dropped on here to leave your this very sensible comment in amongst the mindless undeserved zombie adulation which is constantly showered upon him by everyone except those who can think for themselves, incidentally I disproved the entire NASA space program, using there own numbers, without ever having to resort to the endless visual fakery and CGI BS which they produce, I disproved ever supposed space probe EVER, on one side of A$, using there own numbers, and this physics genius? who I can tell spends most, if not all of his time consciously lying, is a complete dullard stooge, I can show you my math if you like. Anyone can do it. Have a more enlightened day....if you can....xD
Drove 10 hours to catch this "Quantum Rockstar" in Vancouver. Would of driven days. Cannot get enough of his genius intelligence, captivating presentation and youthful, contagious energy. A unique "Star" in OUR universe 🌠

Danica, I've only just discovered your channel and it's so wonderful to see your intense interest in science. This was a fascinating conversation between yourself and Brian. For me, Brian Cox filled the void that Carl Sagan left. Thank you for this video.
Hope he is able to get his head around the ‘UAP’ issue currently being discussed in Congress. He has always dismissed the very idea that we are already being visited.
Danica, this is a side of you I never could’ve imagined! I was captured by your interviews with Matthias de Stefano, Dr. Greer, Darryl Anka, Josh Gates (love that guy on his shows) and now Brian Cox! You really do ask genuine, intellectually charged, from-the-heart questions that captivate the discussions! We are likeminded in your interests on metaphysics, alien life, ET, pursuits of discovering the universe, spiritualities etc…. Glad you live in Phoenix AZ, I feel your energy & am glad you emanate positivity 🙏🏼✨
Love Brian, lovely bloke his science docs are superb, also didn't know much about Danica other than the racing and the Media making her seem a bit abrasive, I stand corrected, lovely, intelligent, great interviewer, genuine sense of wonder for physics, deffo a fan now👍
First time I saw a Danica interview, it was a pleasant surprise as the questions were fresh, a little child like, were inspired from intellectual curiosity, yet followed from the answers even when the theory is beyond human understanding. The result meant that the information Brian gave was different from typical interviews. I wish it were possible to take Brian & Danica's holographs down the pub for a few hours conversation 😉😉
It's nice to have mind bending facts and ideas described in a way that is relatively understandable! Brian Cox is superb at that! And a good interviewer too! The first time I have encountered this lady - great questions and lets her guest talk.
Danica Patrick and Brian Cox Thank you for a wholesome encounter of a very complicated system as the Cosmos. Information is never lost Quantum mechanics will not allow it to happen. We are breathing in the atoms of past generations all the time not a joke at all. Thank you for this sense of thoughts on a very deep subject .
Sir Brian is truly gifted. His enthusiasm whilst discussing a subject is beyond compare. Good on you Brian. Thx Danica for having Brian as a guest. Great interview!
Awesome episode! Was able to catch Brian's Tour while he was in Indianapolis. Thoroughly enjoyed the show, he is a fascinating individual which is not only entertaining but also informative. He makes you think differently.
Wow! I am absolutely riveted watching your interview with Prof. Cox. He is so brilliant deciphering the subject of "space and time." It's amazing how you take it all in and respond with such clarity.
What a fantastic video. Really great questions, that cut to the heart of some complex stuff, and asked the stuff that I would want to ask. Professor Brian Cox is just amazing, his intellect, his humility, his ability to engage and educate is just staggering. Thank you
I think the education that’s needed should go to adults. People should know truth and reality prior to posting, reposting, regurgitating and spreading information.
I'm chuffed to stumble upon your channel, Danica. I've always rooted for you in Indycar and NASCAR, and have recently enjoyed your spots in the Sky F1 commentary. Now I find you doing some mega-interesting interviews such as this one! Loving it, cheers! Love and peace from the UK.
Brian is an amazingly talented and knowledgeable chap. If no-one has heard of it, he does a show on BBC radio called the Infinite Monkey Cage. Some very interesting programs over a very wide range of subjects with some humour thrown in. All available as podcasts and about 13 years worth of shows…highly recommended. As an added bonus the theme tune for the show is written and performed by the incredible Eric Idle. Keep at it Bri!
Not a lot of people would be capable of distracting me from Danica Patrick long enough to actually listen to what they were saying...but Brian Cox is one such person. So knowledgeable and eloquent...and also so down to earth...I could listen to him for hours on end. And it was nice to see Danica asking great questions and really grasping what was said. A lot of the time, during such interviews, the guest would be interrupted constantly and would be completely overshadowed by silly, vain remarks...but not here. Can't wait to see more such interviews....
I just discovered your podcast. I subscribed. Thank you for great, thought provoking shows and interviews. I’m glad I found you in the ever expanding miasma of the information revolution of our times.

I knew an environmental scientist from NC. I asked him about climate change. He said “as a scientist I cannot argue with the evidence. But I do not think we should change out economic system to deal with it”. So politics is important but s wince is the foundation. Without science we are no where.

When I imagined the end of the universe, as in the boundary of the universe, I would think to myself, "Is there a brick wall there? But then, what is on the other side of the brick wall?" It's so hard to imagine infinity and if infinity actually exists but it must. Because it's impossible for there to be an end with nothing on the opposite side, the way I see it right now in my mind thought experiment.
So I think we came out of a huge cloud of dust, that's the cloud that's referred to as the big bang remnants, and if we look closely at the conditions, it looks like the star formation started at the same time, but the light from so many billions of light years away gives us a picture of the evolution of this dust cloud. We see the same development in all directions at great distances and the development that we observe 28 billion light-years apart would take place almost simultaneously, which would mean that that cloud has the same composition over a very great distance, from which you come. can infer that that cloud is infinitely large for us and possibly millions or even more if billions of times larger than what we can now perceive. Behind this cloud eventually there will be a space that has a different composition and the cloud that we are in may be part of a world infinitely larger than our world and we end up being in some kind of atom, causing a world wherever life can arise, the size of this world will exceed our imagination, but this world in an even larger world will also be a particle of dust and the larger these worlds are the slower it progresses, where an electron in the time it a circle around the core our world will have set in a fraction of the orbit and complete worlds will arise and decay in every atom of our world in a time immeasurably small for us. In these worlds there will also be worlds to infinity and it is clear that communicating with those worlds is virtually impossible, which only the future and our development will offer an opportunity to make that possible.
The theory of everything according to humans that believe their intellect evolved from a monkeys brain. If the light waves from the sun were 8 minutes and 20 seconds in a past dimension of Einstein's space-time then people on Earth are just imagining the infrared warmth of the sun coming up on the horizon. The communications delay between Earth and Mars is approximately 20 minutes. We're either viewing the light from Mars in the future, Einstein's past dimensions of space-time or in real time, which do you think is more logical? Einstein's relativity is wrong light has no limitation of speed; it cannot be slowed down because it isn't moving. From every vantage point in the universe light is omnidirectional-instantaneously traveling in both directions. Light and electromagnetic waves are independent of each other. The speed of light according to Einstein's relativity is 186,000 miles per second, but according to physics if two mechanical watches were synchronized on earth and one traveled across the universe and back, there would be no difference in time between the mechanical watches proving the speed of light is instantaneous as the only way a mechanical watch will run slow is if you tighten the main spring. Big Bang, Einstein's relativity-time dilation and nearly all of science debunked. Using optical clocks, lasers and GPS to prove Einstein's time dilation-space-time curvature is like using a metal detector to find gold at Fort Knox. The closer you are to the electromagnetic fields, mass and gravity of the earth the more light bends aka gravitational lensing. Light waves can stretch, bend-curve and occupy a state of superposition, whereas the hypothetical Einstein projectile light particle (photon), a particle that has never been observed cannot. Unlike a TV or computer monitor the images we are viewing in the universe are in real time, not a series of frames that create the appearance of a moving image. There are no DCU digital convergence circuits in space yet Einstein's disciples believe the light and moving images they see in the universe aren't really there, they're just video recorded images of the past 13.8 billion years. You could lead a cult to water, but you can't make them think. Neither time, energy nor mass can create itself into nothing, reside in nothing or expand into nothing simply because nothing has no properties. Time and space are independent of each other, not material bodies or fantasy unions that magically stretch Time, energy, and matter like a rubber band into space-time dimensions. Monkey see monkey do, the science of monkeys have brainwashed you. Will the James Webb Telescope view the birth of the first galaxies? Nope, the universe goes on to infinity. Neither time, the atom, energy nor mass can create itself into nothing, reside in nothing or expand into nothing simply because nothing has no properties. The James Webb Space Telescope is not a time machine, you can’t travel back in time to view the beginning of the universe with telescopes that were made in the future :-). Light and electromagnetic waves are independent of each other. If science uses Einstein's wrongly theorized speed of light like an odometer to calculate past dimensions of distance and time, then using that same method to calculate forward dimensions of distance and time would mean the Big Bang was created and expanded in the future before time existed. Unlike a television or computer monitor the images we are viewing in the universe are in real time, not a series of still image frames that hypothetical Einstein projectile light particles photons create to give us the appearance of a moving image :-). The speed of electromagnetic wave is 186,282 miles per second vs Einstein's projectile light particle proton at 186,000 miles per second. Is this a coincidence or did Einstein plagiarize yet another phenomenon to fit the math of relativity? Electromagnetic waves in space can neither slow down or speed up, this is consistent with the law of conservation of energy. If light slowed down, its energy would decrease, thereby violating the law of conservation of energy so the speed of light is instantaneous and cannot travel slower than it does. If Einstein's projectile light (particle photon) had mass it's light could not travel across the universe, high speed particles traveling at 186,000 miles per second would break the Hubble and James Webb telescope mirrors, debunking the speed of light, Big Bang, Einstein's relativity and any science that uses relativity in their theories. Everyone knows cell phone electromagnetic radio waves travel both ways, yet Einstein's disciples believe time energy, mass and light can only travel one way back in time. If you simply run the Big Bang theory in reverse you reveal the insanity of Einstein's relativity and Big Bang theory. If the expansion of the Big Bang were true, time, energy, mass and light would be in the future from the vantage point of an expanding singularity-Big Bang and planet Earth would now reside in a past dimension of Einstein's time dilation (moving clocks run slow) space-time 13.8 billion years ago :-). It's truly amazing how the science and politics of the left are able to keep people denying reality, there are no DCU digital convergence circuits in space, yet Einstein's disciples believe the light and moving images they see in the universe aren't really there, they're just recorded images of the past 13.8 billion years. Pretending not to notice the gross contradictions-pseudoscience in Relativity is typical of Einstein's disciples, devaluing the source of any information that's in contradiction with their beliefs-theories. You could lead a cult to water, but you can't make them think. If the light from the universe travels to past dimensions of time then it's light is also traveling into future dimensions of time (instantaneously). “And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.” a state of superposition where time and gravity run inwardly, outwardly, in all directions in the same time frame, similar to the electromagnetic field having no beginning and no end. "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End" Revelation 22:13. @USA TAMONDOMUNI But doesn't the Bible teach us that the Earth is just 6,000 years old as is the heavens 😂 Selective Bibling is pointless. Even the Devil can quote the Bible to his own ends. As Christopher Hitchens once asked 'Are we to believe a God who said we are born sick and commanded to be well'. Kind of mischievous to place temptation in the Orchard for Eve, an original creation of God, for this pure being to succumb, original sin.
Danika, i think you hit the nail on the head with your question on conciousness. Well done. Dr. Cox is right. We don't know much about it yet... or do we? Here's my take on it. The physical universe, space-time-gravity is one aspect. The other is quantum universe, where everything is a propagating quantum wave. Everything we call solid is gazzilions of quantum waves propagating in a given physical configuration called matter, cells, lifeforms... A deeper intermediary is conciousness, but a closer to the nose intermediary is causality. In inanimate causality the driver is the laws of material physics and chemistry at the base (and at different complexity zoology and biology). In life forms the causality driver is conciousness. Conciousness is Indescribable as of now. But interms of causality is somewhat describable. It's a reaction to or interaction with physics/ chemistry inputs via the senses. Let me illustrate using one sense, sight. An object exists. A strawberry. Which is itself a gazzilion quantum waves propagating in a particular configuration we identify as a strawberry. Light is incident upon the strawberry. Light is a quantum wave of photons. It undergoes a physics/chemistry reaction with the quantum wave system called strawberry and part of it is reflected. That reflected light propagates to come in contact with an eye. An eye is another particular biological configuration which is part of the body of a life form itself a quantum configuration. That light from the strawberry is incident on the back of the eye where sits the cones, which sense the light by defined physical/chemical reactions. Which then prompts the cones of the eye to pass a biological electrochemical signal to the nerves its connected to. Nerves are also a quantum configuration of it's own rights. Nerves transmit the electrochemical signal to the brain, causing a defined segment of the brain to get stimulated. The brain too is a particular quantum configuration. That segment of the brain causes some data processing to occur, memory recalls, pattern finding, identifying phenomenon as having seen a strawberry. All physics/chemistry reactions. Thus far. Then opiniating begins. Brain or mind that's the murkey part. Let's call it the mind for now. Mind generates a mental opinion. Collection of thoughts "It's a strawberry, i love strawberries..." or "i hate strawberries" Then a mental impetus forms. Desire or aversion depending on like or dislike. The desire mind impetus causes a second mental reaction. To do something about that strawberry. Acquire it, bite in to it, consume it... A third mental impetus is automatically generated. The plan to acquire the strawberry. A fourth mental impetus is generated execute the plan. Which causes a reverse electrochemical signal to flow to various other bodily organs. Hands feet eyes other internal organs, where the body actions the plan to take possession of the strawberry perhaps proceed to eat it. If an aversion mind impetus then opposite is true and action is taken to avoid the strawberry at all costs All that internal process from the moment light from strawberry makes contacts with eye to executing a plan on what to do about the strawberry we call conciousness. But the strawberry conciousness and plan execution gives rise to a phenomenon physicists don't think in terms of yet. It causes something called causality. The religious or doctrinal term perhaps is karma. So living in a nutshell is been bombarded by such inputs to the senses eyes ears nose tongue other sensory organs, and mind (in terms of hopes dreams imagination etc), and reacting with a desire or aversion mind impetus ultimately giving rise to causalities, thousands or millions of such inputs per minute of life, every quantum second of life. So life is actually a propagation of the self in a space-time-causality continuum called existence. Space-time is the physical universe.... propagation-causality the quantum universe?? Now link this to the concept of observation in quantum physics... 🤔🤨
I’m still amazed that everybody who talks to this dude never asks him for a book recommendation list….my zoom doesn’t work well enough to catch those books behind him
"If you want to find the secrets of the universe think in terms of energy, frequency and vibrations." ( Nikola Tesla) humans are reaching there limitations, this is where our creation of A.I. comes into play it will give the answers to what is Consciousness. the answer is in the 4th dimension. but when we get there as in the 3rd dimension there will be more questions than answers which can be found in the 5th dimension. just a theory. great interview Danica. Bravo to you.
This one awesome! I love all the topics you guys covered and that you actually mentioned to him that you found personally interesting which is crazy because that's actually all my favorite shit as well! And the way you segwayed into the topics like astronomy stuff with the moon and connecting quantum and relativity theories and how you can easily talk about consciousness stuff and bring up cymatics like you did made it obvious to me you're no joke and really do find this stuff interesting like I do which is cool and gets you some bonus points in my book lol! Keep having discussions like this and I'll keep coming back everytime! Would love to have both a more fringe and female version of Lex Friedman to indulge! Either one would be cool but both in the same content would be cooler! 🙏🏽🤔👍🏽😍
Danica did pretty good with the topic, it's not easy. Brian: in billions of years there's ample time for multiple civilizations to come and go leaving absolutely no evidence. The time is there and our knowledge in this area is based mostly on assumptions.
Black holes are nothing but plasma driven vortex centrifugal-centripetal electromagnetic fields, expanding electromagnetic light waves at the event horizon while moving the electromagnetic light waves away from its core. The positive charges of moving electrons in the electromagnetic fields create spin similar to the relaxation circuit of a high voltage camera strobe. The earths magnetic fields block dangerous radiation from space in the same way electromagnetic fields of black holes block electromagnetic waves-visible light, you do the math :-). Electromagnetic waves curve light in a centrifugal-centripetal vortex, exactly what we see in an induction coil. According to Einstein's gravitational wave theory black holes are spinning time energy and matter like water flowing down the drain, except the centripetal forces of moving particles would expand mass towards the event horizon not compress mass to infinite density towards its core. If black holes reside is a region of Einstein's theorized spacetime where gravity and mass are so dense that nothing neither mass-particles nor electromagnetic radiation such as light can escape then how could it be possible for the mass of our universe to escape the unimaginable density of the proposed Big Bang? According to Einstein's general relativity sufficient compact mass-density will deform spacetime to form a black hole which obviously debunks both Big Bang theory and relativity. There is no evidence that matter can collapse to “near infinite density” as a result of gravity, black holes do however debunk Einstein's relativity and Big Bang theory quite nicely. The communications delay between Earth and Mars is approximately 20 minutes. We're either viewing the light from Mars in the future (as Mars comes up on the horizon) Einstein's past dimensions of space-time (as Mars goes down on the horizon) or in real time, which do you think is more logical? Einstein's disciples simply conflate the delay in electromagnetic radio wave communications with light :-). Ignorance is not knowing and doing, stupidity is knowing and doing anyway :-). The speed of light according to Einstein's relativity is 186,000 miles per second, but according to physics if two mechanical watches were synchronized on earth and one traveled across the universe and back, there would be no difference in time between the mechanical watches proving the speed of light is instantaneous as the only way a mechanical watch will run slow is if you tighten the main spring 🙂. Big Bang, Einstein's relativity-time dilation and nearly all of science debunked. There are 7.7 billion people on planet Earth, yet I was the only one who knew I was viewing the light and images of the universe in real time, maybe I should be working for NASA or Elon Musk 🙂. Einstein's relativity is wrong light has no limitation of speed; it cannot be slowed down because it isn't moving. From every vantage point in the universe light is omnidirectional-instantaneously traveling in both directions. Newsflash, the light-year is a wrongly theorized hypothetical theory of Einstein's-time dilation relativity. You have now left the Einstein Zone. Light waves can stretch, bend-curve and occupy a state of superposition, whereas the hypothetical Einstein projectile light particle (photon), a particle that has never been observed cannot be both a particle and wave. There are no space-time fantasy unions or gravity waves that can join a particle, wave and time together then bend, curve and stretch them like a rubber band. Neither time nor mass can create itself into nothing, reside in nothing or expand into nothing simply because nothing has no properties. Time and space are independent of each other, not material bodies or fantasy unions that magically stretch time like a rubber band into space-time dimensions. The James Webb Space Telescope is not a time machine, you can’t travel back in time to view the beginning of the universe with telescopes that were made in the future 🙂. Light and electromagnetic waves are independent of each other. If science uses Einstein's speed of light like an odometer to calculate past dimensions of distance and time, then using the same odometer to calculate forward dimensions of distance and time would mean the Big Bang was created in the future before time existed. The speed of the electromagnetic wave is 186,282 miles per second vs Einstein's projectile light particle proton at 186,000 miles per second. If Einstein's projectile light (particle photon) had mass it's light and images would be distorted and could not travel across the universe. The Hubble and James Webb telescope mirrors would only magnify these distortions, but most likely the high-speed particles would break the mirrors before we received the first distorted images, debunking the speed of light, Big Bang, Einstein's relativity and any science that uses relativity in their theories. If the expansion of the Big Bang were true, time, energy, mass and light would be in the future from the vantage point of an expanding singularity-Big Bang and planet Earth would now reside in a past dimension of Einstein's time dilation (moving clocks run slow) space-time 13.8 billion years ago 🙂. Disciples, remember thy 1st commandment, thou shalt not question thy lawgiver of relativity for blasphemers are the devil's pawn. Let thee not dwell in dissension of our Lord, shun them, drive them back to their jungle lair amen. Will the James Webb Telescope view the birth of the first galaxies? Nope, the universe goes on to infinity. Neither time, the atom, energy nor mass can create itself into nothing, reside in nothing or expand into nothing simply because nothing has no properties. The James Webb Space Telescope is not a time machine, you can’t travel back in time to view the beginning of the universe with telescopes that were made in the future 🙂. Light and electromagnetic waves are independent of each other. If science uses Einstein's wrongly theorized speed of light like an odometer to calculate past dimensions of distance and time, then using that same method to calculate forward dimensions of distance and time would mean the Big Bang was created and expanded in the future before time existed. Unlike a television or computer monitor the images we are viewing in the universe are in real time, not a series of still image frames that hypothetical Einstein projectile light particles photons create to give us the appearance of a moving image 🙂. If the light from the universe travels to past dimensions of time then it's light is also traveling into future dimensions of time (instantaneously) and that means light is not moving disciples. By "ample" time, do you mean the past? Our civilisation has taken one third the age of the universe to develop...and you can sensible say that nothing was getting this advanced in the first third. I think it's why Brian Cox says that intelligent civillisations will be very rare. There hasn't been enough time for enough places to develop that could sustain the development of intelligent life. And even if there were many more in our galaxy than Brian would predict...the observational distances to find things as small and insignificant as 'us' are just too great.
@@philproffitt8363 That's my point! Two thirds of the age of the universe is a lot of time. I think it's sensible to say that if conditions allow, life will evolve regardless of when it happens. I agree that intelligence will be rare, but not impossible.
His statement about military pilots not being contemplative and his inability to acknowledge a time that he had to change his mind on something tells a lot about him. I don't question that he is a very intelligent person. I do question that he is an open minded scientist looking for the truth. There was zero comments on the volume of research that says our climate is driven by the sun and earths position in our solar system and our solar systems position in our galaxy. No comments on how drastically our magnetoshper has been weakening and how that impacts our climate. Nope, he went straight to Anthropogenic Climate Change... I had high hopes for this podcast. I have been in Aviation Maintenance for 34 years. I love topics on technology, space and physics. To me, this guy came off as an educated elitist.
Well that's because the constant release of CO2 from burning oil is something that we can do something about. If one of the super volcanoes erupts it is pretty bad and may even kill us all, but that is beyond our capability to fix, but we can fix the human disasters ( climate change), that will surely effect us all in the foreseeable future.
If you follow the currency it's easy to figure out why a certain kind of person will sell out real scientific methodology for a phat income by espousing an agenda.
I'm not sure you paid full attention at certain critical points to voice your opening thoughts there. As to those other aspects of climate change, yes, they exist. No argument at all. But the analysis presently is that they do not explain the changes we are seeing, accepting the proviso that we live in a chaotic system and that life itself changes the system it is a part of. Those induced changes are not always good for the life that causes them - a prime example being the oxygen producing life forms that killed themselves off by changing the constituents of the atmosphere and thus paving the way for the forms of life we now recognise.
@@henrikf9015 What does doing something about an issue that has miniscule impact do for us? Especially when we are wrecking economies, hurting emerging countries and making our near peer enemies wealthy by doing it? On top of the fact that is setting up our nation and our grid for failure as the Grand Solar Minimum cycle progresses.
Great chemistry between you two!!! And fantastic podcast, these topics about the universe are fascinating. . Although I must say, it irked me slightly hearing this intelligent scientist speak about all these "unknowns" and "unsolved equations" when Nassim Haramein has already so elegantly solved many of these, and he has the math to prove it!!! If only scientists like Brian Cox could open their minds more to think outside of the box, humbly without any bias and previous "programming" which they learned in school. I think some scientists are afraid to acknowledge Nassims research because it would throw everything they worked their whole lives on out the door. . Nassim Haramein has resolved the equation to everything (bridging together the macro and micro scales) which Einstein left incomplete
Exaggerating (lying) about accomplishments and having the ability to produce paragraphs of word-salad-pseudo-nonsense appears to be Nassim Haaramein's only real skills. Brian Cox is distilling volumes of leading edge research to share a deep wonder and amazement of the natural world, while Nassim is desperately trying to confuse you with shallow, wispy ideas and official sounding nonsense so you'll think he's someone who matters. They are completely opposites.
@@pandadragons it’s not nonsense when he has the math to prove it. His concepts actually make much sense, just because it doesn’t follow the “mainstream” narrative it doesn’t mean that it is wrong. If all scientists had your mentality, they would still be calling the earth square and no progress would ever be made. Any scientist who dared to suggest the earth was round a couple centuries ago was also ridiculed, even burned to the stake. Science requires an open mind to solve the gaps. And Nassims research has filled many gaps in several areas of science including chemistry, because there is harmony and balance with the math to prove it

He explains everything so calmly, and he doesn't talk down to you.
He makes sure you understand, by using language even I would understand.
Yeah he’s great with language, always involves himself when dumbing down for us😂

Brian is totally immersed into science down to every atom, a man with laser beam focus on a serious mission to break through the fabric of the universe literally
Brian is a nonsense machine. His claims have no empirical evidence.
Brian explains everything, (literally) and does it with humility and passion.
He is a brilliant combination of space dust and water.
But Danica is something special.
A very rare type of star exploded to get that result,
It's science people.🤩🤣🤣.
But on a serious note.
Conversations like this are loved by all and eagerly awaited most.
👍👍👍
Great podcast! Physics is always great topic.
I follow many physics UA-cam channels: ScienceClic, Arvin Ash, Veritasium, The Action Lab, PBS Space Time, Plasma Channel…
What I found to be the most important thing in my personal life was understand trauma.
But understanding electricity, charge, voltage, pressure, tension in physics helped me to understand trauma, muscular tension, neurological and psychological tension and release of trauma.
Also understanding of computers and background processes in operating systems helped me to visualise our unconscious mind.
Brian was the first person to get me interested in science. I could listen to him forever.
Ah, way to go, Danica. Not enough to learn the nature of space, now you want to know the nature of "thought". Of course, you are right, that is the next frontier.
Consciousness alone exists. I am that❤❤❤
First time watching Danica’s channel and I’m instantly a fan. Great framing of questions to keep the conversation flowing with Brian. A really enjoyable watch & listen.
I look forward to seeing more videos.
Great chat from two real characters. Liked your presenting Danita, as a Brit I know of you as a racing driver, so this was really refreshing and I’ve subscribed. Brian is a legendary Brit and a beloved part of UK / GB culture.
Science is our only hope, it solves the problems that our governments create.
The future of our species depends on science.
Awesome to listen to Brian
I knew an environmental scientist from NC. I asked him about climate change. He said “as a scientist I cannot argue with the evidence. But I do not think we should change out economic system to deal with it”. So politics is important but s wince is the foundation. Without science we are no where.
I love listening to his voice. It's so soothing to listen too regardless of the topic.
Love listening, the thoughts the questions......thank you.
Praise to Danica for letting the host speak and keep going no matter where it took us.
Great discussion, I knew Brian when he was in a rock band back in the day. Both of us in different bands. His was called Dare. Spoke to him once in the Banshee rock club in Manchester. Quite a thoughtful young man...with bigger hair than I had 😂
How long was that ago

Disciples, remember thy 1st commandment, thou shalt not question thy lawgiver of relativity for blasphemers are the devil's pawn. Let thee not dwell in dissension of our Lord Albert, shun them, drive them back to their jungle lair amen.

Kind of mischievous to place temptation in the Orchard for Eve, an original creation of God, for this
pure being to succumb, original sin.
Collection of thoughts "It's a strawberry, i love strawberries..." or "i hate strawberries"
Then a mental impetus forms.
If an aversion mind impetus then opposite is true and action is taken to avoid the strawberry at all costs
All that internal process from the moment light from strawberry makes contacts with eye to executing a plan on what to do about the strawberry we call conciousness.

WOW!
Danica is a fantastic interviewer because she understands her role is to allow the guest to do the talking.

Maginficent presentation Brian.. Danica rocks for assisting getting the ethos out there.
From every vantage point in the universe light is omnidirectional-instantaneously traveling in both directions. The Hubble and James Webb telescope mirrors would only magnify these distortions, but most likely the high-speed particles would break the mirrors before we received the first distorted images, debunking the speed of light, Big Bang, Einstein's relativity and any science that uses relativity in their theories.

I agree that intelligence will be rare, but not impossible.
listening to Brian talk about matters of the cosmos is like listening to a poet - he turns science into poetic expression
I’m a big fan of Brian Cox, bought my tickets to his Dallas event 6 months ago, can’t wait!
She’s definitely asking the right questions. Questions you have to ask to get a great mind like this, on cruise control
Spot on. He and his makeup are far gone from the actual intelligence we need to exhibit as a species on this rock at this moment.

And Nassims research has filled many gaps in several areas of science including chemistry, because there is harmony and balance with the math to prove it
Meaning of life lies in apperception thereof.❤❤❤
