Would you be able to upgrade a Burmester to a high end 3d Burmester in a Mercedes GLE and also update the speakers and sub to something better ?

No. That would be a waste of money and time. That system is not equivalent to what you could do with the same cost in acquiring that full oem system. You are paying for a name and a cool tagline like “3d”.
