    Slope your cuts out from the centre of the coppice stool so it sheds rain water and doesn't pool and rot

    I don’t understand why you walked clear of a 14-16inch chestnut fell. It’s a beautiful timber to drop, behaves well and won’t split. And you ran through the potential drop zone. 😂

    The bars to long for that size timber, and why can't people learn to fell timber at ground level

    How ling does it take to Coppice an acre?

      How long is a piece of string? Hazel coppice it'll take you a few months, an acre of very mature sweet chestnut will take you most of the coppice seaso

    Why do you fell so high and then cut off?

      Probably cut high so he doesn't bend over - comfort. The coppice works better if it is low to the ground, and you notice he cuts at an angle, so water does not pool on top of the stump. That is why the second cut.
