I went thrifting for the first time in at least 6 months and I bought a stack of books. A poetry book by James 'Banjo' Patterson, Australian poet, I'm Australian. I got a few hard cover novels to make journals, an atlas, plant book, an encyclopaedia, an Autobiography on Dawn Fraser, Australian Olympic swimmer and a currencies book, another wide hard cover and a kids storybook. I'm so wrapped in my haul. I also bought some lacy fabrics, and other pieces that had brocade or something in it and a stack of doilies, embroideries and cotton strips, all ready to dye or cut and paste or whatever.
Another opportunity to see you in your element,Queen Bee 🐝 I have a ton of lace and fabric for years, I will so be taking them out of the trunk. ☺️😉☺️😉☺️
First off, I love your videos!! I love your personality and how you can be so silly which brings me little laughs and giggles that my soul needs. Don’t stop being you! For this video, you make everything seem doable. You make me believe in myself and want to try new things. I’m new to JJ’ing and taking all your tips and storing them in my files. Mad Respect! ❤
What a beautiful way to display those pretty fabrics without making endless quilts! I'm going to cut up some of my fabric stash into little bits and bobs! Pam, i was wondering if you could do a video on using all the chalks that cardmakers collected 'back in the day'-- maybe I'm not the only one! Have a great weekend everyone! 😊
Who minds if you cut up linens? I don't. 😅 I've used up some nice embroidered handkerchiefs. I mean: noone uses those anymore. This way they are being appreciated at least and not being forgotten in some drawer. I got a stash from my mother and some more from other sources. I will definitely use those pretties in various projects.
Hello Pam & Sunshine, I love using little bits of linen, fabric and lace in my journals, I think it adds texture and interest. Thanks for sharing your ideas.
I appreciate ur comments about the vintage hankie because I have been hoarding a rather large collection of hankies but I’ll be much more willing to actually use them now! Thanks Pam! Your my fav!
Hey, the fabric collage... Make a masterboard, then you cut what you want, already have the fabric glued on. Use the one masterboard for one journal to unify throughout the pages.
Wow! What one can do with a hankie. Thank you for all the great ideas. And thank you Sunny for the Pup Date. You are a cutie! Have a great day. God bless! 🙏🥰👍🏻
Alright sunny... I'm heading to the closet to get that beautiful lacy white dress I haven't worn in years and will never wear again! Thanks for the idea!
Ok, you got me. I’ve been tentatively using little bits of lace in my journals, today I finally created a hidden page, love it! Thanks, as always, for tons of inspiration and encouragement to just go for it!
Hi Pam, Happy New Year 🎉🎉🥳🥳for 2023 to you and all of your Families.....Pam I was given some old table clothes, sheets and lace curtains.....etc👏👏😄😄I'm was soo excited but still rather daunted by all this loveliness and then the questions started......how do I cut it down.......how big do I cut the pieces into etc..etc... Then I started watching this video and you were talking about being intimidated with all of the fabric that you have SOOOO...... Pam could you do a video of how you cut up all your fabrics into more manageable pieces PLEASE.....Luved 💖💖this video 🙏🙏thx ya ..... Hugs 🤗🤗🤗and Kisses😘😘😘 and lots of luve from Aussie Land xoxoxo
Great fabric uses for our journals! TYFS! I like how you “fixed” the bookmark, and the buttons really set off the fabric curtain. Sunny thanks for the idea of using our old clothes. Much love to Pam, Sunny and the Pamily!❤
Pam you just inspired me totally. I have handkerchiefs I've been collecting but hadn't come up with a good idea. I think I'll use your idea as a corner tuck. I love using material and can't wait to see what you offer.
I have not been able to junk journal for awhile, so I sat down and started to create. I found myself in a pickle and started asking Pam what do I do, what do I do Pam. I am sure I heard you say, no mistakes, just keep going.
Hello Pam, oh my, love this so much! Lace is one of my favourite things to use in my journals. Fabric, oh yeah that too 😊thanks so much for sharing these wonderful makes Pam, I so appreciate you! Take care, Hugs ❤️🤗🙏
What am I doing today I'm not crafting but I have been for the last 3 days redoing my craft room. It is a constant thing isn't it with us junk journalist? But I think I'm really going to like this now. I always love to see Sonny. I miss my so so. She's been gone over 2 years but my heart still aches for her. It does help when I get to see Sunny it warms my heart
The small scissors you use are great with someone who has arthritis in there hands and especially in the thumb like I do.Looking forward to fabric packs.
I enjoyed the fabric & lace embellishing, I'm a quilter and have heaps of materials & lace left over, wow a great idea for my junk journals, love the corner page markers and the tabs, could you make some lace & material clusters for us to see, love your ideas. Big Fan xx
Good morning Pam, the first thing I do when I get up is look for your videos. I so much enjoy your program. I always learn so much from you. Thank you for being here. Love, Wanda Mae from Port Orchard, Washington USA
Pam, you make me want to drop everything and become a avid junk journalist. This isn’t new, I have wanted to do it for years, I just can’t find the time (or space). I have boxes, files, and an actual trunk of things that are just too pretty to throw away. Anyway, love watching you put it all together !
I’m getting ready to start my third junk journal but this time I’m going to try the composition notebook route. I enjoy watching and listening to you and seeing all the wonderful things we can do. Thank you!
I found a really cool ink dauber on Amazon. Its called a 4 piece nail art sponge. it is a stick with a marble size sponge on each end. Its around $7 and it comes with a bunch of refills. The size of the sponge part is just perfect for smaller places and sounds really cool when you ink around the edges. Just an FYI.
Mornin' Pam. Fabric is a great addition. I just have to remember to use it. I should do like you do and make bags to grab quickly so I don't have to dig through totes. 😏 TFS Regards to the menagerie and Papa too. Hope you all have a great day. 🌞
The way you feel about bunny ears is the same as how I feel about common core math. lol After learning the old way, I am confused by the need for a change.
Amazing! As always! I have been sick the last 4 days and binging your amazing ideas! I still have 4 days off and really hoping to get something done! Only problem is I packed up all my craft stuff for Christmas! I need to organize……. again! Lol!
Hi Pam! Happy 2023 🎉 I love using fabric in my journals! but I've never tried the corner bookmark 🤔 It will definately be a snazzy new detail, in some future jj's! 🐾 Sunshine, you always put a smile on my face 🐾 hello from Denmark 🌸 🌧
Just to confirm: she said yes, she still does it with bunny ears “there’s no better way to do it. The other way you have one string on the top and one on the bottom, sooo annoying.” 😂
Love the ideas! I would love to see you do a vid of low to no bulk ideas as well. Other than stencils, do you have some no bulk creativity to share?? I find I have too much bulk!!
I love watching your videos. So much inspiration! I have also used old clothing I don’t wear anymore for covers and page tabs and whatnots ❤ I just finished a journal with fabric cover inside and out and fabric pockets inside with a lace closure.
Oh Sonny..your public service announcement just pushed me to cut up a dress I've been putting off. For the last 40yrs. it's tucked away safe. Now, "I'm releasing it to the universe". Thanks for the nudge cutie pie. Stay safe and warm.
Pam, when you say you are cutting fabric into manageable sizes, what size are you thinking about? I’m a quilter with lots of fabric some scraps, some not and this idea appealed to me
Happy second week in the NewYear! As the recipient on three generations of fabric scraps,it has been a real hoot using all the bags of weird shaped fabric pieces. My problem is some of the pieces are still freaking huge and my emotional stomach won’t let me cut it up. Has anyone run into this particular problem?

Thanks for teaching me the "bunny ears" tie method. 70+ years and I've just now seeing this? What the heck! Hey to Sunny 🌞
57 and I didn't know the bunny ears method but my sister, who is only 3 years older, always has! Weird...

I’m Loving Pam’s videos!! Fabric is something we All can get our hands on and adds so much beauty and elegance to the journals. 😊❤
Thanks for all of the great fabric ideas! Love texture! Now that hankie can be enjoyed instead of in a drawer somewhere!
Hey, the fabric collage... Make a masterboard, then you cut what you want, already have the fabric glued on. Use the one masterboard for one journal to unify throughout the pages.

hello from Denmark 🌸 🌧
Too funny. My daughter did bunny ears for the longest time. She’s almost 21 and she might actually still do it. 😂
Just to confirm: she said yes, she still does it with bunny ears “there’s no better way to do it. The other way you have one string on the top and one on the bottom, sooo annoying.”
😂
It now looks like the pyramid at Giza pretty nice
Love the ideas! I would love to see you do a vid of low to no bulk ideas as well. Other than stencils, do you have some no bulk creativity to share?? I find I have too much bulk!!

Pam, when you say you are cutting fabric into manageable sizes, what size are you thinking about? I’m a quilter with lots of fabric some scraps, some not and this idea appealed to me
Love that journal you are stuffing. Did you ever find the link to it? If not is it recent? Thanks!
Hi I would like to know what a fabric pack cost and when you will have some in your shop. Thanks Anna
Yes ma’am you CAN do what you want with your hankie!😂😂😂 Just one more reason I don’t make videos ya know!? My PR tact has disintegrated! Lol 🫶🏼
Happy second week in the NewYear! As the recipient on three generations of fabric scraps,it has been a real hoot using all the bags of weird shaped fabric pieces.
