i felt the same too slightly better sharpness I thought maybe it was a placebo as it wasn't perfect everywhere ...but ...it did seem smoother and less ghosting in places .maybe like you say the eye tracking maybe better so it keeps things more focused where your looking .but I did feel I noticed an improvement (oh and I also wear glasses) but am about to get some prescription lenses for the PSVR2 to help the comfort side of things and even a better view
I've never had an issue reading any of the text. They have always been really clear for me. Day 1 adopter. I just want more Hud options in VR as well as a larger out of bounds area for my head.
The out of bounds area seems to be car-dependent in GT7. I noticed this with the RS5 DTM, which a lot of people have been having a problem with. The RS5 has a very small 'car box', so it doesn't take much to go out of bounds - even if you just move your head to the left or right, or forwards or backwards a small amount, you will go 'out of bounds' and the green wireframe thing denoting the car box will show up in the headset. Other cars have bigger 'car boxes' so you can physically move around in your seat a lot more before going out of bounds.
I have just tried PSVR2 after this update and i can 100% confirm it’s not placebo, i can really notice a diference. I pay a lot off atention to small details and when there is an update i go a check out things that were buguing me and i can clearly se an upgrade. Example: bmw m2 door cards texture, Lamborghini Veneno interior dash suede and its spoiler, vw golf I gti cluster, are just some examples off details that i always pay attention because for me they were just no right and i can clearly 100% notice a big diference! Why doesn’t sony mention “visuals upgrade” on the update? This just makes me think that the PSVR2 should have been delayed, because the software side off things just simply wasn’t ready and maybe still isn’t, maybe its only going to be on point closer to the holyday season because thats when they are planing on marketing the PSVR2 and until then us early adopters are just guinea pigs.
If what you’re saying is correct this is absolutely diabolical and there should be an outcry. £600 is an awful lot of money to put down to be a tester!
Kireth change your brightness to half or lower (I run 1-2 ticks left from the center). The fidelity of the picture in VR is much more realistic and clear. Also, motion smoothing seems to be less jarring and less motion sickness.
This update came out a few days ago. From the prior update to the PSVR seemed there was a change, though it could be a placebo effect, really need patch notes to know what they have done. The biggest thing I think anybody can do is to get lens inserts or to make sure they have the latest prescription.
Yeah kireth I've definitely noticed an improvement in visuals and hud been waiting for someone else to notice, happy to see your headset is working better now bro
Great videos. In Kayak Mirage, looking at the wall clock in the swimming pool is a good indicator for sharpness. No Man Sky has been known to be very blurry, so NMS would be a mother good indicator for checking sharpness. Keep up with the good work mate😎
1 month not playing GT7 in vr2 because I was having motion sickness in less than 30 minutes of playing time. Last week I played again: better overal image quality, no motion sickness: played 4 hours in a row and 2 hours next day. Something was really upgraded. Mura still there. Not perfect yet. I will try some tips from youtube users to improve the image quality (reduce brightness and use the see through text to adjust focus).
I got mine a couple of days ago. Huge difference. I have astigmatism, and with the new lenses, no.more rainbow effect Gosh, this headset is amazing. How are u finding it?
@@supercededman I love it. I have astigmatism as well, and it looks good with my glasses, but is uncomfortable. Can't wait to not have to wear glasses tonight and play.
I also had issues with PSVR2 tracking when I moved my PlayStation to another room. I believe that the problem originated because my room has the walls painted the same color, making tracking difficult. The solution to the problem was very simple! I put black stickers in the shape of an “X” on all the walls, the floor and the ceiling. Surprisingly the tracking was working perfectly again. I made all the stickers with masking tape. Each sticker is about 10cm long. I believe that because it stands out from the wall colors (the walls are white) it makes it easier for the cameras to track. If your walls are dark in color, I recommend placing light stickers. Hope this helps.
Hi Kireth, great content again mate. Try Standing play area. Helps a lot. The reason why you're shifting is because you're using a Seating play area which is miniscule compared to standing which you can then further extend. Try it out mate.
Hey I play seated as well and in different cars the area is different. Sf19 I can’t move in where the 911 rsr is fine. I don’t have much room around my rig so I just play in a seated spot. Are you in a tight area ?
Iv seen some of your other vids and you definitely have a big problem with your headset drifting to the left. I play gt7 all the time in a cockpit and it doesn't drift even a mill. Sorry dude but you need to return it for a replacement. Good content by the way
You know a HUGE oversight for psvr2 was them not making the pd adjustment individual for each lense. The fact that you can only move both at the same time doesn’t work for everyone’s eyes. It would be so much better if you could move each one independently of the other.
@@CIA-m1v have you used the psvr2? the little dial on top of the headset moves the lenses from left to center and right to center, or they move from the center outwards. both lenses move at the same time either going in closer to the nose, or further away from your nose moving to the sides of your face. seems like most often you get one eye perfectly centered and the other is right near the edge and not perfectly placed. so being able to individually move each lens wold mitigate this issue.
@@skltr21 looks like you're not setting the vrset symmetrically on your face. When you see that one eye is perfect and the other eye is not, just try to rotate the set a bit around your head and then continue adjusting the lenses distance.
@@MAVrikrrr yeah that doesn't help lol. your eye distane from one another doesn't change depending on how you move the headset around lol. so if i move the headset left or right, same problem. if i move it up or down, same problem. if i tilt it more, same problem. because your eyes don't change their distance from one another. watch literally anyone that does the adjust visibility. one eye is always dead center and the other is close to the edge. and if you move the little dial up top, it just moves the lenses so the one eye thats centered is now closer to the edge and the one that was closer to the edge is now more centered. im telling you, this design for moving the lenses needs to be independent because the distance between your eyes will never change.
@@skltr21 what you're saying contradicts geometry rules. Just adjust your set position so both eyes are not centered and shifted symmetrically away from the center. Then use the adjustment wheel to adjust lenses distance. That's how you can achieve perfect eye-lense position for both eyes. I can do it, so can you.
Hi everyone, just a quick question to you all. I'm using a Thrustmaster T-GT ll for GT7, any ideas what sort of feedback and sensitivity setting to use as I want it as realistic as possible. Many thanks to who ever can help me
How can you confirm the update is applied? I thought the foviated rendering was viable in the video. When you looked to the left on the track the HUD would get very blurry.
My sweet spot seems to change race to race and I need to fiddle with it up and down on my head for racing clarity. The text is always extremely clear but the blurry on other cars and environment becomes an issue as I go along
If only Sony added a focus knob that would allow the user to manually clear up the display. A real plus for gamers like me who wear glasses. Not to mention all the trouble and work Sony would save themselves having to provide software updates to solve the PSVR2 display problems.
You are not stupid. The official psvr2 charging station is horrible. Have to have pinpoint accuracy when docking the controllers or it doesn't charge. I bought a third-party one, and it's so much better.
Is they a way to manually check if an update is available. I always leave my ps5 on standby. Should it happen automatically? I just want to check as I can’t notice anything different since launch day.
I did see that my psvr 2 needed an update and I remember clicking update now, but I'm not sure if it really did update yet. Is there a way to check if your PSVR2 needs an update manually?
Does anyone have environment draw distance issues where the trees and surrounding always are like blurry and then focus as you pass. I never know if I should use the prefer frame rate or tracing
its because the VR headset consists of 2 screens, and the TV only has 1. so the PS5 has to choose one of your lenses to represent on the TV, and it chooses the Left Eye

10 ffb No more than 9 on the torque so it will last you bit longer, as the belt does wear out.
Also don't buy the sf 1000 ferrari add on unless you play acc, doesn't work the greatest on Gt7.
Controller Sens. - 5, Max Torque - 5, FFB Sens. Anything between 7-10.
