thanks for the detailed instructions. It was my understanding that the rubber gasket that goes around the sunroof is actually meant to let water through. The smaller inner sunroof liner piece (the smaller one of the two) is actually supposed to channel that water into those drain channels/rubber tubes. It's possible those drain tubes are blocked, which might explain why water is leaking into the car. I had water coming into through the sunroof and it stopped completely once i fished that small sunroof liner piece out of deep inside the roof and reinstalled it.
Good video, ive got to stick the rear part of the headlining back up and i was dreading getting it out of the car to do it, but watching your video it looks like i may be able to just release the back end ? do you think its possible ?

Yes it is...believe it or not. The headliner is pretty flexible.
