I will be sailing on QM2 next January on the NYC around the world cruise. I am sooo looking forward to it. Definitely a bucket list trip! Thanks for than wonderful review. Now I’m more excited than ever. 👍
I did a double Transatlantic - Southampton-NYC-Southampton this past October and would HIGHLY recommend a voyage. It is amazing!!!! I'm doing another Westbound Transatlantic in Sept 26!! Bon Voyage!!!! DO IT!!!!
We sailed on her May 23. It was our first cruise and Cunard and all the crew made us feel like royalty. The food was fantastic as was the service right down to our cabin steward. After seeing other cruise lines videos Cunard will always be our first choice. Thanks for the great Video
Hi Kelly Enjoyed very much your review of Queen Mary 2. You are right she has a unique personality. I consider Queen Mary 2 the last of the ocean liners. I dont think they'll build anything like her again. She is not a cruise ship but an ocean liner. Built for the North Atlantic. She brings with her design, many of the great Liners and what it's like to cross the Atlantic. With her, all the history of Atlantic Liners and of course, Cunard. She will become a very sort after ship as she ages. As mentioned, we'll never see the likes of her again. I'm embarking on my 9th voyage with her in 2026. So much looking fwd to my voyage. I adore her. The Last Great Ocean Liner Brad
Thank you so much for sharing that, Brad! I see that she is beloved by many and I feel so honored to have spent two weeks on her. I hope you enjoy your travels in 2026 and thank you so much for stopping by my channel. 😊
A month ago I did a Westbound Transatlantic, via Le Harve. 8 nights in a Sheltered Balcony Stateroom. I didn't get time to do half the things I planned to do. We had Stephen Payne OBE, the designer of QM2 as one of our speakers. Did you find Homer Simpson?
I agree with everything you said in your review. My first trip on the QM2 was in July of this year, Transatlantic. It had been a bucket list item of mine and it did not disappoint. The Queen is an elegant Lady indeed and I cannot wait to sail on her again which I will be doing for 31 days round trip from NY for the Fjords trip summer of 2025.
Thank you for this excellent review. I've been debating this vs flying to Europe in the fall and this is causing me to give the QM2 a second look. I do not travel well anymore and I'm horribly uncomfortable on planes. The time spent on one for us on the west coast is very long and I'm one of those rare travelers who prefers connecting flights just so I can get out of that tin can in the sky, even for a little while. This is looking better all the time.
In my opinion . this is a fair review. Having sailed this Norwegian cruise in July 2024 and the Atlantic in June 2023, some of my party felt there was slight lowering in food choice and/or quality but I didn't notice. My only gripe was that the coffee from the big machines in the buffet was better in 2023. Highlights included relaxing to the music in the Queens room late at night with a cocktail or two, a pre dinner pint of beer in the bar and 7am the the gym.
A wonderful review! Thank you for sharing your experiences!! I can't wait to experience it for myself!
Thank you so much! 😊 Happy travels!
