Der Film erzählt von Mike Schmidt, der bei Freddy Fazbear's Pizza einen Posten als Wachmann antritt. Doch gleich im Verlauf der ersten Nacht muss er erkennen, dass die Nachtschicht in dem verlassenen Restaurant alles andere als ruhig werden wird.
Die Hauptrollen spielen Josh Hutcherson (Die Tribute von Panem), Elizabeth Lail (You: Du wirst mich lieben, Mack & Rita), Piper Rubio (Holly & Ivy, Unstable), Kat Conner Sterling (We Have a Ghost, 9-1-1: Notruf L.A.) sowie Mary Stuart Masterson (Blindspot, Grüne Tomaten) und Matthew Lillard (Good Girls, Scream - Schrei!).
