I don't think you realize that most of these challenger players with high win rates, only get that high wr mostly bec of low quantity of games and sheer luck, aka big lucky win streaks (ofc there are few exceptions but we're talking about the majorities here). The race to challenger in NA last split, had some r1 players not being able to climb out of emerald1-dia3 for weeks up to months with negative win rates (yep even dantes, tarzaned and many others who eventually even quit the race and switched accs lol). The only man alive that actually shows how it is to be decent in the game and what the real solo q experience looks like, is tyler1. A multi role challenger, rank 25 last split or something, and still has a hard time winning games even in low dia. Toxic, throws games, surrenders the whole time, always blames others, and still one of the most accomplished league players in terms of solo q. So while yes "skill" plays a role in league, it's up to a point (basic game fundamentals, aka experience playing the game), after that you just need to be kinda lucky, bec the harsh reality is that even though you might deserve challenger and own that skill (like tyler1), you still have trouble winning in emerald-dia, lol. Play more games, play decent, don't give up, sooner or later you will get win streaks and you will climb, in any role, in any elo, with any experience, like tyler does and many others every season. The only reason why challenger players climb back to chall with new accounts is because of their confidence that they know they can do it. It's a completely different experience playing league from a mindset like you know you will get chall bec you've already done it.... and it's a completely different experience playing league with an anxious mindset worrying about if you're gonna lose 25 lp and get screwed. P.S There's no such thing as 1v5, or carry every single game. Only thing there is, is to be decent, average, and you'll climb. In league the team with less shitters wins, not the team with the better players. So don't be a shitter and you'll climb.
Yes I’m sure the pros who get crazy win streaks up to chall are just getting lucky and people in diamond just need to wait for their lucky break. And the rank 1 race win rates surely had nothing to do with the fact that at the beginning of the split all challenger players are reset to diamond so getting hard stuck diamond is basically challenger. Nothing to do with that. And yes of course Tyler1 is the only example of a good soloque league player that I should be using my bad.
