Thanks for the video. Looks like a wonderful little rod. In 2019 I asked Anglo & Co if I cold be their US distributor. They said no, explaining that they couldn't handle additional volume.
That looks like a awesome little rod to have. It's been cool to see all the super compact rods coming out recently, and I assume they can only get better with time. Gorgeous creek you was fishing, and some decent sized fish for the size! Thanks for posting.
Hey great video! The scenery was stunning and the fish beautiful! That is one of the best tenkara videos I’ve seen. Thanks for sharing and the work that goes into that.
Nice video, thanks for sharing. I'm always amazed how those small wide open shallow streams out west hold so many trout, back east the predators would have a feast. I was contemplating an Anglo rod a year ago and decided against it due to it's obscurity, and possible issue with spare parts in the future. Starting to shy away from JDM rods.
The Anglo Kowasa is my favorite pocket rod. I handed it to Tom at Oni School and he seemed impressed by the flex and how it could cast. My two desert island rods would be the Kowasa and the Wasabi. Anglo & co make some fantastic rods.
I don’t recall since I got it last year and the exchange rate has changed anyway. You would have to check the Anglo & Company website for the current price.
I’ll go back and take a look at it, but there are zero bull trout in that area. Where there are bull trout closer to where I live, they have signs warning how young bull trout and young brook trout look nearly identical. I discuss that in another video with the shinobi 395… when I actually did catch a young bull trout, when I actually did catch a young bull trout. About the only certain way to tell, the difference has to do with the dorsal fin.
Yes I have! That video will be coming soon. I’m also going to do a comparison of a few different pocket rods. The Pocket ninja is longer, more capable, and therefore a bit more versatile.
@@tenkaraonthetrail Ah, looking forward to those videos. And, what is the Chinooke???? Never heard of that rod and can't find anything online about it.
@@tenkaraonthetrail could you tell me if it’s off 1-90 and ate you in Wyoming or Montana I can probably figure it out from there thanks for your channel
Incredible scene to catch some fish. Tiny Tenkara looks like the perfect backcountry set up! Thx for sharing!
That’s actually an Anglo and Company Kowasa. I’m not a fan of the stiffness of the Tiny Ten if that’s what you’re referring to.
Wow- what an amazing looking place. Thanks for taking us along. I really enjoyed looking at those hills, and the fish!
Thanks! Stay tuned. I’ve got some more VERY scenic videos coming soon.

Thanks Chris. It’s a fun little rod.
Awesome creek and beautiful fish! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
Hard to believe that streams like that still exist. Must not be a house within 50 or 100 miles??! Amazing.
Thanks. Beautiful area. Can’t even bring a bike in the wilderness so it’s not hard to get away from civilization

Thanks for the kind words! I’m hoping to have a lot more of those trips next year.

I hear you. I’ve started buying a few dragontail and Tanuki rods too, which will be used regularly.
Awesome show! Looking for that rod now to order and add to collection!
You have to order directly from Anglo & Company site in Japan. Good luck!

Thanks Chris. I remember you telling me about that before I bought mine. Those are two AWESOME rods.
Wow awesome country. I'd really like to add a Kowasa to my pack. Do know if they are still available?
I believe they are available. You have to get them direct from Anglo & Company through their “contact us” link.
@@tenkaraonthetrail thanks ill hunt them down once I'm done watching your Tanuke pocket Ninja videos
Thanks…enjoy.
Really enjoy your videos!!! Gave ya a sub!!! Thanks for taking the time!!
Thanks!
beautiful location and awesome rod!
Thanks!
What a beautiful location. Would be great even if the fishing were not that good.
Yes it is!
Love it 🇨🇦
Great video of a lovely location. How much does this rod cost?

I think the fish @ 12:00 is a bull trout!

Nice video. Have you tried the Tanuki Pocket Ninja yet? I'd LOVE to see a comparison.

Sorry, voice Recognition didn’t work. It should have read pocket ninja.
Where were you able to purchase that tiny rod?
From the Anglo and company website.
What a great little rod in a outstanding location! It pulled some good size trout out of that stream! Congrats! How much is that compact rod?
I don’t remember exactly, I would have to look again not knowing what the conversion rate is. I want to say around 300 or just under
I just checked…about $280
@@tenkaraonthetrail Wow! Thanks for checking! Seems like a great little rod though. It handled the cuttie well.
Yet it’s not a stiff rod like other Uber short section rods. Very good flex profile and casting. Not a broom handle.
Great video..Where can a person get that rod..
What's the name of the rod?
And where can i order it?
Thanks
That rod is the Anglo & Company Kowasa. I bought mine directly from the company through their website.
Do you share where this is would love to go I live in Eugene Oregon thanks love your videos
I give a general idea usually (eg Beartooth Wilderness), but never specifics.

I only fish in Montana… I don’t have a Wyoming license. It is not off I 90
@@tenkaraonthetrail okay thanks
Very nice Kris. Nice rod but I'm going to take a pass on it. Unlike you, I have too many.🤣😂
How can you have too many?? Just make another shelf😂
I miss cali
Does that scenery remind you of cali?
@@tenkaraonthetrail Oh yeah. I thought you said you were somewhere around Yosemite.
Sorry, no. I’m in the Absaroka-Beartooth wilderness in MT.
