Gone but not forgotten 9/ 10 / 2024. 77 years young
This song influenced me to leave snowy "SAGINAW MI" and relocate to "OAKLAND CA" where I made many friends and thrived. I used to listen to "LOOK AT CALIFORNIA" on my cars 8-track player, cruising in the snow daydreaming about "the rolling hills".I also met a few stars. I worked as a salesman at Roscils shoes and twice sold shoes and millinery(hats) to "MAYA ANGELO" ,once to Phyllis Hyman(she sent me a postcard wear the hat) Ruth Pointer of the POINTER SISTERS and civil rights activist"ANGELA DAVIS .To relocate tools courage vision ,faith and mostly GOD!
I used to buy my shoes at Roscils...
In this day and age ,his sound is pieceful so i hope you listen again, cause everything is so fast-paced and harsh now!
I also had an 8 track listening to all the songs, but look at California had me day dreaming to about the rolling hills, beautiful skies and beautiful, beautiful people.❤❤❤❤❤
