@@ginogatash4030 If you want to keep Anastasia a film that contains magic and curses and stuff like that keep Rasputin, but the B-Way musical stans wanna see Gleb as the main villain to add some realism to it. In The Dark Of The Night was all we got to see of Rasputin's personality, and you could expand on that in a live-action film, but Rasputin was also a real person. He died long before the Romanovs were murdered. Also, Gleb's songs in the musical bang, so why not put those in there as well?

the whole time this song played, I just imagined the bolsheviks invading the palace, the Romanovs living in peril in a compound, the bittersweet memories of royal splendor the family had access to, the hardships of WWI the Romanovs took part in and the final moments of the family being led into the basement of the compound. you turned this melancholic song into the epic tale of their tragic lives.

They didnt reform in thier rapidly changing society and definately put thier trust in the wrong people which led to loads of unrest and suffering for the Russians, but it was the corrupt nature of the Bolsievik and Soviet regime that cut short the lives of the Romanovs instead of allowing them to live peacefully in exile.

A musical is the closest we'll get for a live-action but lucky for us there is one! They changed a bit of the story to make it more historically accurate and removed/added characters, but they kept the songs (and added more which, I have to say, are amazing!!). It hurts that Anastasia is such an underrated film! The music is beyond magical and wonderful, Alan Menken level. The original plot may be historically inacurate but the characters are way more developed than old and original Disney films

OMG, I'm literally going crazy right now. THANK YOU for bringing this most cherished memory of my childhood movies to light! I played this movie SO MANY TIMES. I'm sure I drove my parents crazy with how many times I rewound the vhs so I could hear this song, over and over, and over again. My heart is bursting over this; it's an absolutely spectacular version of the song. I want this to be in a show, and I want to go see it live. I just can not get enough. Now, 20-some-odd years later, I get to relive the experience of driving loved ones crazy as I blast this song across the house, over and over again.

1:35 i think this would be the end of the trailer like The music goes back to the soft version and we see Anastasia look around the corner of the big ballroom in the palace then a shot of the empty ballroom as the ghosts start to appear and the music goes back to the epic version then a big shot of the Anastasia logo
I imagine this story took place in London during the 1800s. Teenagers, most who are working in factories, found themselves solving a mystery together, one that centers around a pocketwatch and an ancient tome, while being chased by those who want to get their hands on the tome and destroy the watch.

Just take the broadway version and make it a live action, it is actually much more historically accurate, and the new songs are lovely

I hard agree with all of the other comments saying if they remade it into a live action version...I can imagine this playing over the tv and movie screens during the trailer. I can even hear some of the lines... "Your majesty, isn't it time to stop looking for the lost princess?" "I don't remember where I came from...but this locket is all I've ever had."

@Penny for my thot thanks, I'm flattered😊. But I believe, when it comes to stories that took place in eras like the Industrial Revolution, it would receive lots of critical reviews. I don't know, like, how Disney is sugar coating that certain era that made the people miserable and people think they (Disney) are making it look like it's a fun era to live in. And Disney is beginning to make films more family friendly. In my opinion.
