I think the tie head on the top two should be on the outside due to the fact that they can catch leaves and junk between the tire and guard, or they can tear off if you get a stick in there. Side ones are not much of a concern in this regard.
Honestly does this style of mudguards really keep the mud & water from splashing on you ? I'm only asking because I'm really considering getting a pair. I was checking them out on Amazon 3 days ago. The size of those little things is what slowed down my decision to get one or not.
They 100% do help. I’ve ridden without one of these mudguards and I get a lot more mud in my eyes then I do with these guards on. You can get bigger ones with more coverage like a mudhugger or a RRP. Also, any mudguard will protect your fork seals from getting mud and stuff on them a bit more, so an added bonus.🤟🏻
They will have holes, you just have to pop them through. Basically, it will be precut but there will be a tiny bit of plastic leaving it in, then you just pop the plastic through if that makes sense?

🤷🏼♂️
Polson is correct.
If you cut the ties as short as possible the chance of anything getting caught on them is closet to zero
Cheers for the help I was lost.
🤟🏻🤟🏻
Sweet just got my first MTB name is Charlie also😂 had no idea how to put this thing on.
That’s sick bro! Have fun with your bike, look after it 🤟🏻
Thanks dude, and I'm getting a new fender too, but my bikes fork bridges are kind of too circlish, so is it alright or is the fender gonna crack?
Nah it should be fine
@@CharlieRidesMTB thanks mate :D
Cheers mate, great video 👍🏼💪🏼
Glad I could help 🤟🏻
Great vid !! Thanks 4 the advice 👍🤟
Cheers mate and no worries!
Would it be easier with wheels off?
wonky is a great word. good video
If you have quick release wheels, I’d recommend taking the wheel off first 🤙🏼

I think you need the mudguard because it will protect your fork seal from mud.. Mine fork now dead because it has lot of mud get cover on fork seal
This is also true
Thank you !!! 👍😃
Worked great!
💪🏻
Do they have these for the back for the back of the bike as well?
Do these fit to every mountain bike?
They should do. What fork do you have?
@@CharlieRidesMTB I think its some kind of suntour, the bike itself is Specialized Rockhopper Comp 29

The holes are just not shown in the photo for style purposes. The holes will be there when it arrives
@@CharlieRidesMTB thanks bro
No worries
It doesn’t fit on my bike i have a 26’ and a rockshox lyrik but it just doesn’t fit bc its so tight
Lyrik forks have there own mudguards that you can screw in
Are these better than the longer versions? I use my mtb in city to go to work. I want these against rainwater actually
does this also work for the rear?
Thanks ;!! ;)
is that forged carbon? do you have a link to where you got it?
Is what forged carbon mate?
The mudguard
Haha no mate it’s plastic
Great Video this was very in depth and lots of explanations
Cheers mate 🤟🏻
Does it work with v brakes??
Charlie: to make sure there's nothing rubbing on the tires.
The cable ties in the front: im literally touching the wheel
Shred on 🤘
Save yourself some money and make it out of a large plastic soda bottle or a plastic folder & you can customize it your way.
Excellent video. Btw that's the arch not the crown.
Thanks mate 🤟🏻
Thanks Swnawg
nice I know now cheers
🤟🏻
Thank u
All good 🤟🏻
Lol those cable ties are gonna rub against your tyre on the front seeing as you left some length under the guard
I kind of like the guard facing the other way north...
may also be easier to take ur tire off :)👍🏻
It looks easy but I tried to fix my bike today and I messed it up
Haha, hope this video helped?🤟🏻
I’ve seen all sorts of ways people put these things on 😂 backwards, wonky, upside down😬
@@CharlieRidesMTB haha
😬
