Thanks for sharing this video and information. It’s been a while since I’ve make any LOCOnet cables; this has been a helpful refresher:

The tester came with my Digitrax Super Chief. I think you can purchase it stand alone from your hobby shop.

Hey love the video's. I have watched a lot of yours. I am having a hard time finding the wire, is it the same as phone cables? I went to all my local hardware stores and none had anything similar to yours. I have been looking online and it all says phone cable.

+Iowa Interstate Railroad Fan I was having trouble finding it as well and I actually got the cable at an ACE hardware. The box that it came in actually listed it as phone cord (hence the difficulty finding it). It had connectors on each end and if you look closely at the connector, you can see it has 6 wires instead of 4. I got it a couple years ago, but I think 50' was $10. Good luck!

Do you need crimper to crimp the connector because I do not have crimper is there eny other way to do it please reply

minemaster 1312 Yes, you 100% need a crimper because it ensures a good connection between the wire and the clip. Plus, the crimper pushes a tab in the clip that allows it to connect to the RJ12 port. The crimper I have is an RJ11/RJ12 connector that I borrowed from my brother-in-law, he works in IT and installs cables. Sometimes the big box stores (e.g. Lowes) have these tools that you can rent. Check with them or just go into a local computer store and see if they can help you install the clips on the wire.
