As always I look forward to listening to TWiV on Sunday mornings while sipping my coffee. Wonderful episode. I have become so curious about phages because of TWiV. Thanks for feeding my curiosity.
It almost killed my dog with the first infection, but then got fairly mild the next time, and not even noticeable or maybe not infected with the third household outbreak. I wonder if the ancestral strain was more pathogenic to dogs, before D614G, or if the immunity just built up for the dog as one might expect. It was a GI presentation in the dog. I wonder if stool or vomit tests would have gotten us more samples. Pet owners could swab stool or vomit without sticking a swab up a dog’s nose, where some portion would risk a bite.

Welcome to Canada again Vincent! I just drove up from NYC to Toronto - 16 hour drive in today's snowstorm 💪😪
McGill... My old stomping ground. My father taught at McGill for over 20 years. Great school.
The future will be increasingly full of multi-disciplinary science.
