*FAQs!!! PLEASE READ BEFORE COMMENTING!* 1)Q: *Will you make me a tail?* A: Yes I will. I have some up on my etsy: (www.etsy.com/shop/Zullala) and I am willing to make you a custom tail. I charge $3 an inch. 2) Q: *Can I use this method to make a MLP/horse tail?* A: It might work ok for PinkyPie, but if ya'll want to make a horse tail, you should check out my video: ua-cam.com/video/SM_TEkUoQZg/v-deo.html (My Little Pony Tail Tutorial (Super Basic)) ^__^ 3) Q: *Is it normal to have so much extra fluff left over in the brush?* A: Yes, this is completely normal. You can use the extra fluff as stuffing. 4) Q: *What brand of yarn do you use?* A: "I Love This Yarn" brand, specifically "520 Naturals Stripes I Love this Yarn!" 5) Q: *I can't get that brand, what else can I use?* A: Yarns that are 100% Acrylic or 100% wool usually work out. Buy several different brands, make one knotted fluff with each brand, brush each knotted fluff out, then straiten it, and compare the knotted fluffs to see which is your favorite. Then exchange the yarns that you did not like for the yarn you did like. 6) Q: *Can I use Red Heart yarn?* A: Yes, you can use it. I personally don't like it because I think the fibers stick together and it's not as soft as I Love This Yarn. 7) Q: *What color is the yarn used in the video?* A: I'm using "520 Naturals Stripes I Love this Yarn!", but I normally don't pay attention to the names of the colors when I buy the yarn. I take a picture of a real tail with me and hold the picture up to the yarns and see if the color of the yarn is in the tail. 8) Q: *What weight and ply was the yarn you used?* A: It was 7oz and I don't remember the ply. 9) Q: *Does the base have to be a 4 strand braid, can I used a 3 strand braid?* A: Yes, it has to be a 4 strand braid so that there will be a place to put the elastic loop. Also, "Gilbert Beilschmidt" said he used an old T-shirt to make his 4 strand braid base. It's a good alternative to yarn. 10) Q: *How long is the tail?* A: 29in long. 11) Q: *How long is the guide string?* A: It is 6in long. 12) Q: *How many fluffs do you use?* A: YOU DON'T COUNT THE FLUFFS. That would take forever haha. I used 1 skein of yarn for the base and 5 skeins for the fluffs. 13) Q: *How many skeins of yarn do you use to make your tail?* A: 1 skein for the base and 5 skeins for the fluffs 14) Q: *If I make my tail X inches long and my base X inches wide, how much yarn will I need?* A: I have no idea, I don't do math. 15) Q: *How can I make a cat tail?* A: Make the base of the tail about the width of a half dollar and also make your fluffs shorter, maybe 1 or 2 inches long. That should yield a cat tail. For a more realistic effect make the end of your tail a little fluffier than the base. 16) Q: *How do you attach the tail?* A: I just slip a belt through the elastic loop and belt it on. You can prolly also clip the tail to your costume, sew it on, or velcro it on. Use your imagination. 17) Q: *Can I use my hair hairbrush?* A: A NORMAL BRUSH WILL NEVER WORK! Use a DOG BRUSH or CAT BRUSH. I suggest splurging for a the $5 dog brush because it has a button on it that helps you get the fluff out. It helps you from poking your fingers. The tail that I have made in the video is specifically a wolf tail. It's extra large and fluffy! SOOooo super cuddly :D!
Well, I didn't use a scarf and I am ok, but I really suggest you use one because after I made the tail I coughed a lot and sneezed. Also the yarn fibers might get caught up in your appendix.
Flurry Wolf i dont mean to be smart with you but it would (possibly depending on how much time you have) maybe take a week which is 168 hours because 30-45 hours isn't even 2 days long sorry i just had too sorry
I love how thorough u r in this and the last tutorial! Most ppl would say " Make a braid " and skip the part where they make the brain and expect that the viewer knows how to make a braid. But you explain how to make a braid and help YOUR viewers to avoid the extra research. ouo
if it helps; I've found that flat ironing the yarn right before brushing them out makes the twists come out quicker and makes the whole brushing out process go much faster.
Thank you so much I have been working on a tail that is SUUUUPER long and I need to get done soon but the yarn takes forever to brush out but thank you!
I actually suggest making the base the same colour as the tail. You can brush out the tip and that solves the capping issue. Using the same colour also helps hide the loop at the top and if any fluffs fall out/get damaged it is less noticeable
Suyi Kiyohara That's true, that will help the tip making process go by easier, but I don't want to waste my good yarn for the base. I just use the cheapest yarn for the inside since it doesn't effect the tail.
That thing is absolutely gorgeous I'm so jealous 😍 Edit: So I just got done making one of these and I am in love with it! I made a black one about the same size and its SO soft, fluffy and cute! Cant wait to show my friends.
I am actually making a cheshire cat tail now (though I can't fiish it till I get back from Korea). I only have the fluffs done, but my plan for the stripes is to measure the stripes out onto the base, then sew the fluffs onto the matching areas. I think the sripes will hold their shape.
This is such a fantastic tutorial! Thank you so much for making it so precise and really fun to watch. (I normally can't sit down long enough to focus on tutorial videos!)
Just wanted to let you know- your yarn tail tutorial is the clearest and best one I've seen on UA-cam. Following your instructions I've made many of them and it works the best!
Just finished my tail. Wow that took a lot of work (~35 hours) but having patients was well worth it. Thanks again for the tutorial. PS, I wore a medical mask when brushing out the yarn bunches, that stuff flies everywhere! For anyone thinking about trying this, it can be done and the result is great and realistic. Best of luck!
Your tails are beautiful! I've seen lots of tutorials but yours seems like the most professional. Have you ever considered selling your tails, because you could probably get quite a large sum for them. It's amazing how simple they are to make as well, i followed your instructions and now i have a glossy 15inch tail that I simply couldn't love more
Oh my gosh this is so lovely and you made the tutorial seem so easy and fun! although seems like a lot of tedious work :P I love the way you talk to your audience, it puts me right into little space! Thank you for such a beautiful tutorial! :3
I am so glad the vid did not bore you :D. I know it's a long tutorial, but I really wanted to get as much detail down as possible. I am glad it was helpful.
Just finished making my tail Omg took 4 days but it is soo worth it! Definitely better than taking tails off wild animals (I used acrylic yarn) would definitely recommend trying it. This is my 4th tail I've made.
Making my first tail... How did you ONLY take 40 hours? Mine has taken 2 months... T_T is there anything I'm doing wrong? I have to make 9 of these by next summer. At this rate I dont even think that will be enough time DX. Halp! I don't want to rush them and have them look bad :,(
Kittyisk :3 are you actually timing yourself? I just worked at my tail everyday for like 6 hours straight. If you are only working on it for an hour a day then yeah, it's gunna take awhile. Just pop in some movies and create the tail while being distracted :D You can also use a looser yarn. Like, the yarn in my vid is pretty tight, so the next tail you make try and use loose yarn. That will speed up the brushing out process.
Well I guess I'm not a fast worker as you. I've worked at least 6 days from 12pm to 2am non-stop to be honest but I AM self dying ever individual piece.Gave up on that devotion for that one tail and for the rest of the 2 months its been on and off. I hope I get better and get to be as fast as you. Your tails are gorgeous!!! I hope I can maybe not sacrifice quality either. You're really good at what you do. I really admire your work! :)
+Zullala Thank you! I may have to take you up on that! Drowning in fuzzies!! ╚(•⌂•)╝At least I'm proud this method I created to making fox ears. I also found out that if you also douce your fuzzies in conditioner or detangler then dry, then straighten. Its even softer. I think this may be what has been taking so long. Also trying to put lots of wire on the inside so I can position the tail. Also dying each individual piece afterwards lol. But yeah... What's your website. I can send you a pictures if you'd like the give an estimate heh heh. If it isn't too much trouble I mean.
Could you use, sayyyy, tshirt fabric or something similar to plait for the base? Like cutying it into strips and plaiting that? Edit: always read the description 😅
everyone keeps saying a million fluffs, but if you could give me a number of fluffs you think you need plz tell me- not for a big tail you did, im doing a small wolf pup tail.
I never count the fluffs. When i said a million I just meant that there was a lot. I didn't mean that there was literally a million fluffs. Again, I don't count the fluffs. I have no idea how many fluffs it takes to make a tail. It really doesn't matter. For a 12in tail I would think that one skein of yarn is enough. The amount of yarn will change depending on how thick you want your tail. I make my tails hella thick so I need to use more yarn.
Zullala oh- thanks! im making one for me and my online friend! we both say we are cats but he love fluffy wolf tails!! and btw i love your dresses! its so cute! if only i was a girl i wold sooo wear those XD
I got around 425 fluffs out of 200gr(so 4x 50gr skeins) for a tail arount the length of that in the video, though mine turned out to be quite a bit less thick.
I've been working on a tail on and off for over a year now. I'm finally seeing some progress with the tip being done today. I wanna say thank you, for making such a charming tutorial.
Wow so awesome!!!! Just found out about making tails from yarn and your tutorial has definitely inspired me to make mini tails for amigurumi creatures :D Thanks for sharing!
9 years later but yes!! Eevee's tail is pretty thick, so I'd say if you use white yarn, take some markers to it, and look at a reference (the eevee plush has the tail looking the same from all angles), you could save a LOT of time :3
I am truly astonished! I have never seen anyone make a tail like this, and I was looking for new ways to make my tails that may be less costly, and I came across this video and i'm just.. amazed. :) These are really cool and when I have the time and money, i'd love to try this for myself!!
Thank you for teaching me how to make this tail. Halloween costumes are in the mail to our granddaughters! I can't wait to see photos! I must say that sewing the fluffs on took many more hours than I expected and my arthritis complained loudly, but I persevered!
P.S. I went ahead and purchased more yarn; 3 darker shades of grey and black! It added more time onto the project but was very happy with the results!!!
something I like to do when Ive sewn on the elastic is cut a slit in it so that I can have half of it on either side of the back middle belt loop when I wear my tails with my jeans, 1) keeps them from sliding to the side and 2) just otherwise keeps it secure while wearing it
this is a great tutorial and I've been looking for one as detailed as this so thank you for making it owo. I do have a question thought when you did the looping between your toe and thumb did you have to do it four times to get the braid pieces or did you do it once then separate them into four? also if I make the tail longer will the braid be thiner?
I did it once. When you watch the video you can see that after I finished looping all the yarn I was left with one big oval of yarn. I then cut one end of that oval. Then I separate the yarn into four strands and begin to braid it. Also, yes if you make the tail longer the tail will be slightly thinner. Thank you, I am glad you found this tutorial helpful ^___^.
Saw a picture of a yarn tail on deviantart. Though to myself "OH MY GOD THAT'S GORGEOUS I MUST KNOW." And here I am! Seeing how time consuming this is, I'm glad I'm crafty and have lots of yarn on hand (crochet amigurumis pretty often hehe). Thanks for making this tutorial! It's detailed and informative and perfect!
Congrats on making such a useful tutorial even 10 years later ! :D It will help me a lot for my Absol cosplay, I'll try to adapt it to do a mane and even try it for the wig. I just have to think about how to attach it to my head XD Thank you ! Your tail is so nice and fluffy I want to cuddle it so hard lol !
With your help I made my own! Thank you so much! You're awesome at what you do so please don't stop! And might I add, you have a lot of patience; when making my tail I was so close to giving up lol.
This is amazing! One of the nicest looking tails I've seen in forever!!! Looks light and fluffy and I might be able to put some mechanics in mine. Thank you!
Finally! After a month of hard work i finished my Fox tail and It honestly looks so good! I've never done anything like this before and this tutorial inspires me to try to create my own things! Thanks!
Oh my god. Thank you! You see, good quality, customized tails are so expensive and hard to find. I'm a crafty person, so I figured I could make one! This is just what I was looking for. Thanks again!
this tutorial really helped me a lot, right now i'm working on my second tail and instead of braiding the base i just wrapped it in some other yarn so its longer and not so thick. lets hope it works out!
I had some old yarn from a kit i got when I was young that was about 5x the thiclness of the fluff you used, that works really good just putting two strands together and tying them with string a couple times. if you halve a really long peice of this string it makes a loop, so you don't have to use so much.
I put a small chain in the middle thinking that that would help it swing more. In my red fox tail and my the wolf tail in this tutorial, I used one skein of yarn got the base. I made a small one. it looks more realistic in my opinion, but I like the shiny, glossy look of the acrylic tails.
I started making my own yesterday and it’s been really fun so far! I had a large handful of black fluffs And started sewing them on about half an hour ago. It.... it’s is really taxing.... but let’s hope it will turn out well! I’m pumped for my own tail!
If you do a three part braid then there will not be a loop for your elastic to go through. yes, less yarn used in the base will make a thinner base. I think the only time the tying method works is if you crochet the base. You can try tying it on to the braided base though.
I watched this tutorial last night, I had to try it! I thought I'd make my base first so I don't need to make it later. At the moment I'm making the fluffs, I've still got a long way to go with them but I'm getting there slowly. Thank you so much for posting this video, I'm part of the furry fandom and I've always wanted to make my own tail. I'm so glad I found this tutorial because I didn't need to spend much money on fancy materials. Anyways, thank you so much for helping this fox cub ^-^ ♥
I would, but I already explained everything that I need to explain in these two videos. Plus I haven't made any yarn tails recently. I don't have time to make them unfortunately. I'm so glad that you enjoyed my tutorial though :D
THAT IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL YARN TAIL IVE EVER SEEN! And it takes so much work! I have to try this soon. It moves just like a real tail. Im a therian and wearing a tail makes me feel a lot more like myself :) I love this thank you.
I think that is a fantastic idea! I actually only thought about doing that after I finished this tail. I wish I would have worn one for the tutorial. Glad you finished your tail ^^. Yeah it's a lot of work.
I am just saying, you're a beautiful person :3 with and without the make-up of when you cosplay, thanks for this tutorial! I've been curious for SO long how to make one.
Okies :) Thank you! I just wanted to get some idea about how to do it. I quite like how these tails work and look. Seems so much cheaper in the long run.
Congrats on the fast pace. It always takes me FOREVER to brush out the fluffs. Humm, I have never had the band snap. I suppose for extra security you could also tie some string around the end of the base.
This is quite interesting. I'm hoping to make a nice sleek cat tail with this method. Not sure when I'll get around to it but I have these tutorials favorited. Will post a reply eventually when it is done.
The final result looks beautiful. But ya gotta be so patient! I'd love to be able to do something like that, I just don't think i'd have the patience. But a great alternative instead of using fake fur! Thanks so much.
Omg that is so amazing me and my friend have been looking everywhere to find a tail to wear and this is perfect we r gonna do this at have a sleepover!
Thanks, I'm glad you like it. Good luck on your tail ^_^! I'll make more videos when I get my comp fixed. I'm in South Korea right now, so that won't be for another three months. It sucks that there is no Lenovo service center here (.-.) .
so, when you take the needle with the thread through the fabric one, then you will see the knot at the end hit the fabric and be tight. Then you pass the needle with the thread through the fabric a second time, as you pull you will see that the thread has made a loop. Pas your needle through that loop before pulling it tight. I hope that helped.
Now I've never done this, but I'm thinking if you draw the pattern onto your base then sew on the fluffs in accordance with what you drew, then I think that pattern would come through. Especially if the hair is on the shorter side.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING THIS TUTORIAL! My daughter is going to be the Cheshire Cat in her play at school. I plan to make the tail, and ears. It's going to be so awesome!! I'm actually responsible for ALL of the costumes for the Alice in Wonderland play! I'm SO nervous about getting them all done! On another note-I loved the outfit from Part 1 of this tutorial!!! Again, Thank You! I will most definitely give you credit for this creation!
+webbers94 Oh her costume is going to be so awesome ^^! I'm glad you found my tutorial useful. I would be nervous too @_@. but I'm sure you will get them done. You wouldn't have been chosen to do the costumes if people didn't believe in you. Thank you ^_^.
Thanks a bunch for the video, I have been searching up online as to how people made this and no one wrote the steps. And then I saw your fox tail video which led me to pt 1. you are "awesome"
pull slowly and guide the knot to the center with your fingers. Just keep practicing ^^. You can still use your lop-sided fluffs, just mix them in with your even fluffs.
You will have a lot of stuff left over in the brush. If your fluffs look like my fluffs after you are don brushing, then it's all good. Just make sure they are not breaking off too short. I use 100% acrylic yarn. I am sure different brands will give different results. Good luck :D

"Gilbert Beilschmidt" IT'S PRUSSIA!!!!! XD
Will anything bad will happen if you don't wear a scarf or anything when you're making the fluffs?
Well, I didn't use a scarf and I am ok, but I really suggest you use one because after I made the tail I coughed a lot and sneezed. Also the yarn fibers might get caught up in your appendix.
Catdragon Mew You can skip that step. It just makes the tail look different.
Zullala could I do this with something like a bear tail
I watched this way back when I was 10 years old, I never thought I would be back for a Beastars cosplay lol. Some things never change.
I love this comment so much. Are you gonna cosplay Legosi? Or Juno?
@@megaparsec7910 Juno! :))
Minishcat Oo she has an interesting character design. I bet you’re gonna make an awesome Juno, how do you plan on doing her ears?
@@megaparsec7910 Haha thank you!! Not quite sure yet but I think I'm gonna follow a tutorial from Kinpatsu Cosplay.
Minishcat that sounds like a good idea, best of luck to you!
Totally making! I'll see you guys in 30-45 hours XD
Flurry Wolf preach 😂
Flurry Wolf i dont mean to be smart with you but it would (possibly depending on how much time you have) maybe take a week which is 168 hours because 30-45 hours isn't even 2 days long
sorry i just had too
sorry
AarMau shipper AarMau shipper but are they going to be working on it 24/7 for a week? No! They mean 30-45 hours in total.
Wow XD
We about mmm maby 4-5 months

1:09 AND THERES YOUR HORSE TAIL! good night everybody!
The Unknown Furry lol 😂
The Unknown Furry I wish it was that easy, 😅
I do have a horse tail tutorial as well haha. It's linked in the description. ^^
I'm a furry too! But I’m also an otherkin/therian at the same time
XD

While it makes it easier, I've actually found that is doesn't flow well with the rest of the tail. At least on the ones I've tried
I have two things of yarn that change colors and are super similar. So it all looks ok
That thing is absolutely gorgeous I'm so jealous 😍
Edit: So I just got done making one of these and I am in love with it!
I think the sripes will hold their shape.
used scrapped tshirts instead of yarn for the base= saved yarn
Good idea! :D That was smart thinking.
Such a smart comment! I might use that for mine!
I was just thinking the very same thing.
How please? Did you cut strips?
Thank you
Yup
I'm not even half done with all the fluffs, and my comb is almost broken XD
ikr same XD
I exchanged my brush! 😝

Also trying to put lots of wire on the inside so I can position the tail. Also dying each individual piece afterwards lol. But yeah... What's your website. I can send you a pictures if you'd like the give an estimate heh heh. If it isn't too much trouble I mean.
Kittyisk :3 The easiest way to send me pics is through Instagram :D. Your tail sounds amazing! So much effort. it's going to be so special.
Zullala oh- thanks! im making one for me and my online friend! we both say we are cats but he love fluffy wolf tails!! and btw i love your dresses! its so cute! if only i was a girl i wold sooo wear those XD
no problem and have fun making your tails.
You can wear them if you want ^^. Playing dress up is fun for anyone haha.
I got around 425 fluffs out of 200gr(so 4x 50gr skeins) for a tail arount the length of that in the video, though mine turned out to be quite a bit less thick.
Very realistic tail 😍😍 It looks like it was bought, well done. I love this❤❤
Thanks to this video I got back into making tails! Im super happy how it turned out and thanks for the push I needed to make one!
I'm going to attempt a fox tail for my Halloween costume, wish me luck!
Hey Hello how did it turn out?^^
Could you make a fox/wolf ear tutorial please
It's just amazing, i love your tutorial ♥
Ms.Zullala, what about a Yarn Ears tutorial? That would be really awesome! :D
Frozen Strider I have a yarn ears tutorial up :D
Oh that's puurrrrfect!! ♥ ty
no problem ^^
My favorite part is when you turn it upside down and give it a shake. Best tails in the business!!! Thanks for sharing Zullala.
Zullala: now sew it layer by layer
Me: Uhm wot
My conscience: OK I HAVE PLENTY OF TIME
i want to make an eevee tail with this tutorial, do you think it would look good?
It added more time onto the project but was very happy with the results!!!
something I like to do when Ive sewn on the elastic is cut a slit in it so that I can have half of it on either side of the back middle belt loop when I wear my tails with my jeans, 1) keeps them from sliding to the side and 2) just otherwise keeps it secure while wearing it
+lilAngelPunk That's a good idea!
this is a great tutorial and I've been looking for one as detailed as this so thank you for making it owo. I do have a question thought
when you did the looping between your toe and thumb did you have to do it four times to get the braid pieces or did you do it once then separate them into four? also if I make the tail longer will the braid be thiner?
I did it once. When you watch the video you can see that after I finished looping all the yarn I was left with one big oval of yarn. I then cut one end of that oval. Then I separate the yarn into four strands and begin to braid it. Also, yes if you make the tail longer the tail will be slightly thinner. Thank you, I am glad you found this tutorial helpful ^___^.
it looks like real fur!! :O
i know right :O
IKR
XO
Saw a picture of a yarn tail on deviantart. Though to myself "OH MY GOD THAT'S GORGEOUS I MUST KNOW." And here I am! Seeing how time consuming this is, I'm glad I'm crafty and have lots of yarn on hand (crochet amigurumis pretty often hehe). Thanks for making this tutorial! It's detailed and informative and perfect!
***** so happy you like the tutorial ^^. I'm glad it was helpful.
Omg this is so much work... I'M UP FOR THE CHALLENGE YAAAAAASSSS
In total I spent about $25 to make this tail. However, it did take me frickin' forever to make it @_@
This is a really good tutorial, gonna use this method for my kittenplay tail ^.^
My tail is starting to twist
What do I do?
+Wolf Saz brush it out
Congrats on making such a useful tutorial even 10 years later ! :D It will help me a lot for my Absol cosplay, I'll try to adapt it to do a mane and even try it for the wig. I just have to think about how to attach it to my head XD
Thank you ! Your tail is so nice and fluffy I want to cuddle it so hard lol !
Ahhh thank you! Also your cosplay sounds amazing. Have fun ^^
@@Zullala Thanks a lot ! ^^
Thank you so much for this!
I plan to start making Yarn tails and stuff myself, and I am more of a visual /hands on learner so this helps a lot..
My mom didn't want to buy me one so we watched this and we made one yay
that tail looks like an expensive scarf.
half of one at least
Hue hue
how can I add a buttplug to the end instead of elastic? is there a way to make the elastic and plug interchangeable, or should I make two tails?
Wow, I'm so glad it helped! Also, thanks so much for subscribing ^_^. I'll have a new vid up soon.
Thanks!
I'm so Happy to hear that you are enjoying your new tail!
Oh my god. Thank you! You see, good quality, customized tails are so expensive and hard to find. I'm a crafty person, so I figured I could make one! This is just what I was looking for. Thanks again!
One of the best tails I've ever seen. Seriously, well done.
Kelvin Waffle Thank you very much
this tutorial really helped me a lot, right now i'm working on my second tail and instead of braiding the base i just wrapped it in some other yarn so its longer and not so thick. lets hope it works out!
I had some old yarn from a kit i got when I was young that was about 5x the thiclness of the fluff you used, that works really good just putting two strands together and tying them with string a couple times. if you halve a really long peice of this string it makes a loop, so you don't have to use so much.
I adore your outfits throughout these 2 videos
This tail is so creative and intricate. Kudos to you girl!
I LOVE this tutorial! It shows really clearly what you do and you explain so well how you do it! Kudo's for that
I put a small chain in the middle thinking that that would help it swing more. In my red fox tail and my the wolf tail in this tutorial, I used one skein of yarn got the base.
I made a small one. it looks more realistic in my opinion, but I like the shiny, glossy look of the acrylic tails.
If you have the materials, you can use a needle-felting needle to both make the base and felt the fluffs to the base
I started making my own yesterday and it’s been really fun so far! I had a large handful of black fluffs And started sewing them on about half an hour ago. It.... it’s is really taxing.... but let’s hope it will turn out well! I’m pumped for my own tail!
I absolutely LOVE your outfits. The skirts you wear are beautiful, and they look great on you!
+Black Rose Awww thanks a bunch ^^
you have the patience of a saint! beautiful work!
Can u pls make more video about making yarn tail tutorial,it is very fun and interesting
Hurray! I'm so glad you like the tutorial and I hope you have fun creating your own.
@@Zullala Thank you! Your very skilled
You can put as much or as little as you like. It doesn't really matter.
I used one skein of white yarn for my tail.
I really like your tail!❤️❤️❤️
this is such a good tutorial! my little daughter and I looked at a bunch and yours was the clearest and easiest to understand!
I'm so glad it was helpful ^^. Happy crafting!
@@Zullala do you know how many ounces were each of the yarn skeins you used? thank you!
@@kristiroeowen unfortunately I do not remember, but it was just a regular scan of lion brandy yarn. It wasn't jumbo or anything like that.
@@Zullala thanks!
This is awesome! I'm a do-it-yourselfer and I can totally do this! Thanks for the FAQs section too! Helps a whole lot! Keep doing what you do girl!
I think that is a fantastic idea! I actually only thought about doing that after I finished this tail. I wish I would have worn one for the tutorial.
Glad you finished your tail ^^. Yeah it's a lot of work.
I have never wanted to make something so much in my entire life!! Totally makin' it!! Thank you :D!
Maybe I will at some point. I really want to finish my moving tail first. Hopefully I get that done before winter LOL.
I hope that helped.
i love your tail design. it's beautiful. happy new years.
I have not made one, but others have told me that it works fune if you use a quarter of the skein to maike the base.
This is amazing! I would've never guessed it was made of yarn when I watched the first video! Major props ^.^
Thanks a bunch for the video, I have been searching up online as to how people made this and no one wrote the steps. And then I saw your fox tail video which led me to pt 1. you are "awesome"
Jessica Thompson so glad I could help ^__^
That sounds so pretty ^^
I use yarn, specifically "I Love This Yarn" brand. I got it from Hobby Lobby. It was like $5 or $6 a skein.
pull slowly and guide the knot to the center with your fingers. Just keep practicing ^^. You can still use your lop-sided fluffs, just mix them in with your even fluffs.
This was great, Zullala! Thanks so much for the detail. I'm impressed!
oh wow that came out really pretty and fluffy i might do thiiis! thanks!
Yep, make a thinner base for a thinner tail ^^. You can also make the fluffs shorter too. Good luck!
Wow!! I am really impressed I am going to do this... over the summer! Thank you so much for making this video
This rly helps
yes, thinner base is fine.
I use "I Love This Yarn" brand
I will do a tut for wolf ears someday :3. Glad to have helped u out.
You will have a lot of stuff left over in the brush. If your fluffs look like my fluffs after you are don brushing, then it's all good. Just make sure they are not breaking off too short. I use 100% acrylic yarn. I am sure different brands will give different results.
Good luck :D
