I know the rule about your fingertip having to touch The String above to mute but many times I see it’s not done how do u know when to and when not to do it
I've never heard about that rule, so I never thought about it or used it conciously. That being said, I try to keep unwanted noise to a minimum but it's mainly intuitively by placement of fingers and picking motion
