Back then, it was a big deal when people live together. It was kind of a secret that Gelli and Ariel were already living together and it was reported that Gelli was almost hysterical and won’t give Ariel’s belongings to him [his passport, for example]. Ariel and Regine fell in love because they were singing together and had amazing chemistry. I personally think Ariel and Regine broke up because Ariel couldn’t handle the backlash and he also realized that Gelli was really fighting for him. Between the two of them, its very clear that Regine was definitely the bigger person. She came into this one on one interview hoping for reconciliation and prayed for closure. Gelli may not have been quite as open but I guess its more of her personality being extremely guarded that its hard for her to completely express herself in the same degree as Regine is. My respect for Regine increased exponentially after seeing this. 👏🏻
