i did 20+ yrs in the Marine infantry MOS 0369, in 99-2001 i was an MOS infantry instructor - "03 ya made it ' - We used the Movie "Heat" at the last bank scene exit , to show fire n movement, reloading and comunications.. was a great example, Then once Dream Works Movie Company, Came down to us in Camp Lejuene MOS School instructors, and ran with us for a Tv show called "Marine ..something something" ( it never made more than 1 show).about USMC boot camp,
then, Once, the entire MarineCorps was forced to Watch "Saving private Ryan" when it was released,
then around 03ish before I deployed to Iraq and Afghan as aninfantry plt Sgt, I would make my Younger Marines watch Red Dawn.. it was funny that many of them never saw it before circa 2003 - 2007. it was to show them the power of simple minded soviet arms tactics and possibilites in small units on thier hom turf.. opened a few eyes,
not to mention during one deployment, the entire armed forces in Iraq had a Safety Stand down to remind Marines. Soldiers, and Sailors to not act like those characters in Boondock Saints.. lol.that was a fun one..ahhh the war / gun movies and boys growing up.. lmao Semper Fi .. 94-2014 now as a father of 3 boys... i see it and feel it

Not a movie, but a TV show. Band of Brothers, don't think anything will ever top it for me.

Most TV Shows are horrible, but I give a lot of credit and praise to the TV Show "SEAL TEAM," though with its fair share of mistakes, they definitely did go above and beyond for a network military show, Tyler Gray was instrumental it making that show awesome and just not another turd, now with a final season coming August 11th to wrap the story up.

I used to be a big movie buff...but I find the movies are big time disappointing when it come to guns for specific opps (effective range and functions).

I was an EOD tech with 9 years of combat experience and the worst movie is Hiurt Locker . Nothing about it is remotely true . Hot garbage bud .

All good choices. Recommend “Tae Guk Gi” or “The Brotherhood of War”. This is about the Korean War. Great city war scenes.

Is ur m4a1 a 16in barrel. I thought they were 14.5 and the m4a1 was also a socom barrel right? Or can it be either a 14.5 or 16in.

Guns are used defensively up to 2.5 MILLION times per year per a censored CDC study. We have over 400 million guns in the US and in 2021 gun homicides were 21,068 the most since 2017. Gun homicides are also 18% higher under the current administration. Gun Control does not work.

My worst gun movie that people like is John Wick. Ive watched them, but nothing of the movie was interesting. I never base myself off of a movie, but I can relate to them. I just didnt like John Wick at all, I literally thought is was like a sci fi flick and simply too unrealistic for me to care.
One of my.favorite movies is a few good men, becauae there is no sex, no killing, and little to know action and movie was still great and great representation of the mil in the manner they did it.
Some of the movies you mentioned like American Sniper, I didnt like as its nonfiction. When you know the people, the story and then the movie doesn't reflect the story itself, its kind of hard. I try to enjoy a movie for itself and not look at guns or uniforms and trying to figure out whats wrong. If I cant get passed that due to so much incorrect stuff, its a wash and ill never enjoy it
