- Join me in my review/breakdown of the full theatrical trailer for the upcoming Alien Romulus movie, directed by Fede Álvarez (Evil Dead 2013, Don't Breathe). Only in theaters August 16th, 2024.

I think Romulus and Remus also connect this film to Covenant. David describes his creations as wolves twice, and a 3rd time in the deleted transmission to WY. Romulus and Remus suckled the breast of a She-Wolf. Also, those figures are more characteristic of David's Protomorph during birth than Big Chap's. That protomorph would have been easier to find and it would have been stuck on that earthmover in that planet's orbit. It's possible they found both.
Fede has definitely said that all the movies influenced this story in one way or another. Only time will tell what we end up discovering. Only two months left!

Yeah I think they somehow get info that there’s something valuable on the station and go there hoping they will be able to make enough money to leave the colony they lived on.
@@ryost18 Yep, very Fede. I am glad he doesn't overdose his films with modern socio-commentary like others do. However, if Andy is a WY android, it probably has double protocols, and I am wondering if since this is the age of androids having issues, if it is going to be conflicted. It would put it somewhere between Ashe and Bishop. Like, those canisters are probably what is valuable, so it lured them to the ship with a ruse, but then its actions saves Rain.

I’m sorry this is way too Disney of a trailer then it would be if it was 20 century fox! You know if you know!
How is it too Disney? It’s an R-rated trailer and it also doesn’t give too many things away as far as major plot points or story details. To me this is a great trailer and doesn’t spoil the movie before release, as a lot of trailers do nowadays.
@@ryost18 yes it’s a soft Red Band Trailer that doesn’t give out too much or has it mention the whole plot already in a Micky Mouse club sort of way?
@@TACOPOTENTE yeah it’s a soft R because Fede is saving all the gruesome scenes for the release. I wouldn’t want to see any big hard-R moments in a theatrical trailer.
@@TACOPOTENTE the movies is definitely going to be a Hard R. Fede just wants us to experience the gruesome moments for the first time in the theater. Fede’s previous movies have proven that he can pull off some beautifully disgusting scenes and Alien is the perfect match for his creativity I think.
