Thank you for the great video! Will definitely check out the channels you recommended. I also totally agree with what you said about copying masters' styles and how it becomes the DNA of our style. I need a reference to create a piece in a different and more realistic style than mine or deliberately change my style, which is not easy, for a different style while drawing from my imagination. I learned drawing by copying the style of Sailor Moon, Magic Knight Rayearth, Detective Conan, Candy Candy, Yu-Gi-Oh!, etc, in my childhood because I was so amazed by the uniqueness of anime style and wanted to develop a similar style. (I then discovered manga and spent all my teenage years reading manga!) So whenever I show my artwork to a Japanese person, they almost always ask me if I ever watched Sailor Moon. :) I've been leaning towards realism, though. I want to develop a style which doesn't scream Sailor Moon! :) So, I've recently been using more references to draw portraits. I'm not forcing myself but encouraging myself to gain more perspective and experience. We'll see how it'll turn out.
PS: Art channels on UA-cam, please! Keep up the great work!

"You will learn exactly what they did... or you will die trying" actually made me laugh out loud. 😂 I totally understand that struggle

While certain courses they host are worthshile, I definitely cannot recommend the annual membership for Domestika. I have it, and it's quite frustrating because the vast majority of the 'free to subscribers' courses are the most general ones and the ones I'm not interested in at all. Far better, in my opinion, to avoid a membership and just cherry pick courses that you really want to study, paying for those individually.
I'm definitely not getting my money's worth from them. Should have just stuck to youtube tutorials. 😔

Sorry for that! At least they should include the whole catalogue, otherwise what's the point of it

@@illustrazionidilut Absolutely. I was looking at 21 Draw recently as they seem to have more courses I'd be interested in, but yeah... not going the subscription route again. Honestly, UA-cam is more than enough. :)
Props on the video. Keep it up.

@centurionstrengthandfitnes3694 oh yes I forgot that! They often offer half price for yearly subscription, around 50€ - but I was interested in one only
