Loved the reaction! You have a lot to learn, young Jojo. You caught the words, and a good amount of bars, but the context often went over your head for a lot of them. Still, you made do with what you knew and were able to make it coherent in meaning, but intended meanings were sometimes a bit over your head when it comes to context. No shade, tho! It takes years of study (or at least constant googling, even when you don't think it's needed) to understand the background that goes into a lot of these bars. Just because it seems to make sense to you, doesn't always mean you got the whole story or you interpreted it clearly. Keep doing your thing, man! The raw reaction is what we're here for!

They wanted his old persona Slim shady twist not serious music, and alot of haters in the Hip-hop scene. Not seeing himself in the mirror is also a characteristic of vampires who are undead and usually evil. He's a genius at double entendres. This entire album was great. The whole thing is just diss tracks against mumble rappers and critics talking shit about Em.
The last part is referring to Trump because Em did a freestyle criticizing him and apparently he was visited by the Secret Service afterward. He also compares Trump to The Thing from Fantastic Four with references to being orange and critics jumped on him about that too saying the Thing isn't orange, although I always thought he was.
He actually leads into all that earlier on when referring to dividing his fan base into thirds because he basically said something back then disowning his fans who support Trump and he wishes he could have worded that differently when he was just trying to denounce how Trump manipulates his supporters.
IIRC he also dropped this album out of the blue without any promotion because with his previous albums they'd promote it in advance and people would take that time to preemptively criticize it.

    45 here....
I have known a lot of Eminem songs from back in the day. The rocker in me decided enough, when he did "Sing for the Moment". Did not even give it a chance. And outside of hearing "Not Afraid", heard nothing past that.
FFWD to about 5 - 6 months ago. My random play brought in "The Way I Am". Forgot about it, but really enjoyed it. Then went back and gathered the ones I knew into a playlist. (Stan, Real Slim Shady, etc) Then it began snowballing. And I am up to 39 songs on my playlist now. For reference of that, my absolute icon of icons is Janet Jackson, and I have 50 singles of hers on that (hellufa awesome) playlist.
The crazy thing about Em's playlist........most of the songs are the newest works.

In addition to everything else you have said, I will add from myself. He says that the new school needs to raise its level and learn to respect the legends who started this movement. And what kind of rap is it if everyone can do mumble, copying each other, even if there is no hearing or writing ability? So each of us can say that he is a rapper and doing sucks. At the same time, considering himself the Beethoven of rap, to say that legends such as Notorious BIG and Tupac are simply incompetent. Rap, as a subculture, loses its uniqueness and meaning, becomes a gum that everyone can buy. You can repeat after Lil Wayne at a time, but what about, for example, Big Pun, Bone Thugs and Harmony, Twista, Zach de la Rocha, Techn9ne, Eminem? Krizz Kaliko generally sings in a way that is not the same as in rap, not everyone among the singers can. This is already a talent. This is poetry and art. Eminem is talking about this. He urges them to develop themselves, not destroy themselves, while trampling into the mud those legends that gave them the way in this creative field. Btw, I'm not rapper, but for me Eminem is a G.O.A.T.

All art is a history of a moment in time. You have to take in context what was happening at the moment it was created. Rap is a relatively young artform and still filled with millions of moments.

He will get there. Starting with Big Daddy Kane, Rakim, Biggie, then Big L, Big Pun, Rass Kass etc will be easier. It isn't easy to just to Em and try and catch everything. You do arithmetic, geometry, algebra before astrophysics.

The reference to the colorblind people was actually directed at an interview where they were talking about his BET cypher saying it sucked because he called the thing orange in it and they said that was a reach and he was tan not orange. He was basically saying who cares what color you think he is it makes no difference to the bars

10:09 "You will never see Em Icy" is meant as a shot towards to people braging with their wealth, with "icy" referencing to chains and jewelry, something he is allowed to do, being a very lyrical bar spitting machine himself, that makes getting cold on the M.I.C. as opposed to "You will never see Em icy" a clever word play, talking about not being about materialism, but rather getting cold on the Microphone, not being scared to polarize, even if the atmosphere gets cold towards him. And if you take icy literally, you get an ice rap scheme on top of that, that extents up to him freezing the atmosphere, being so polarizing. (polar-ice-ing, temps might freeze and so on) And this is only one example. Em is a bar spitting machine, with doubles beingthe material for his weaker bars. Seriously, that man is scary...

This song is to the critics who use his name to boost their career. Eminem respects a man who works for it instead of using others to get up there
