- At the end of last month, we shared the news of the successful launch of the lower section of Queen Anne, the troncone. This custom celebrates a ship being transferred from land to water for the first time. As we celebrate Queen Anne’s maiden season going on sale this week, here’s a sneak peek of the launch itself.

Woot! The first oldschool launch of a cruise ship! I will love to see it in service soon, Stay safe Cunard and happy 110th Birthday.
I love how they used a slipway instead of pushing the vessel from the side
Type of like titanic and olymlic launch
Cuz cunard does old style stuff
They Still Use The Tradition Of Launching The Ship From The Back. They Are The Last Ship Companies To Carry On The Legacy Of The Tradition Since The 1900s.
@@KayokiHimori-sr1qd yea. Cuz cunard doesen't want to do these new and uglier stuff. (I'm not saying Queen Victoria, Queen Elizabeth and Queen Anne are ugly) it wants to do stuff the older days.
Like old times🙌
Real excited seeing Queen Anne taking shape. Can't wait to sail on her!
slow and steady
Same
I love how it was done old school. Very cool
A future member of the finest fleet in the world
Congrats Cunard! Just Full Ahead!
Sad we didn’t get a new Mauritania but in any case Long Live the Queen
We did get Mauritania II
Biurifouuuu ameeeei
Reminds me of Queen Mary (the first queen mary)
It's amazing to see another Cunarder join the fleet soon. Anne will be a interesting Queen alongside Mary,Elizabeth and Victoria
It would be nice if Cunard named a ship with their old naming convention IA
M/S Queen Victoria?
I’m proud of Anne right now she probably will be better then me ;(
I'm struggling to understand something? This lunch shows queen Anne's full length not complete yet have still launched it into the water. How are they going to attach the back half of it? All lower compartments will be filled with water , it'll make it harder to float another piece and attache it. Bolts ,rivets and welding will not be as good as it would be when out of the water dry docked? The logic/method is something I'm struggling to fathom. If anyone has any answers please enlighten me??
Oh good, they christened it, unlike that 3+1 funnel ship back then, phew
Cool Ship Also I Went On Small One
Launching Half a ship
classy slipway!
i Saw The Building of The Ship! now We Meet Her In Some Days
There she is 😃
Welcome to the world, Create history and show how Cunard rolls!, Oh and one question: When does Queen Anne set sail, And where?
Early 2024. That's all we know right now.
Nice to see how queen Anne is getting on
Wonderful! Really happy to follow all the stages of the Queen Anne ❤️
Thankfully it does exist
Welcome on board stargazer
♥️♥️♥️
this reminds me of the queen mary release
Finally, something especially exciting: although I'm surprised that parts of the ship are being launched individually. I guess that's a thing now.
Man do we REALLY have to wait until 2024? 😂👍

Finally cunard 4th ship!
They do both..
amazing
Cant wait will she go from Southampton to new york cuz um in Australia in adelaide its been my dream to ride on one of your cruise ships cuz your old ships Lusitania and Mauritania got me into Cunard so its my dream to ride one of your ships 🤩
Lusitania and Mauritania were ocean liners. Queen Anne is sadly just another cruise ship. QM2 only liner still in service
@@paolodechipiece1027 isnt she the Last Ocean Liner?
@@simon96376 the last working liner yes. As Cunard didn't build queen Anne as a liner she may well be the very last one as well.
So exciting @cunardline !
Cunard Line
I cannot wait to board this masterpiece
All await this
why is half of it on the water?
The rest will be built on a drydock like shipyard.
@@Boeing.797 last I checked the other ships were fully done

“In the name of God…” Love it.
Great job Cunard! I'm so excited to see this ship sail the seas in the future and I hope to get a cruise on it one day or maybe on her maintain voyage!
