This is where this series REALLY TAKES OFF , ilmangos redstone ideas. Love the way you figure things out man
Don’t hesitate on the longer episodes we want more content and this is great !!❤
Bro same picture haha
There’s already a Sheriff in town buddy.
The stats disagree
100% agree
Me two
The absolute comedy of spending an hour long episode designing and running a tunnel bore for raw stone, only to realise you can just use a hammer and chisel on it and then mine it!
that part confused me. why didn’t he just use that method to make the basement floor in the first place, it was all gravel? there would have been no mining required. german over-engineering? 😂
@@mattyicee I think it was mostly that he didn't remember that you can lol
@@oricalu448 Yeah but he was still mining it after chiseling it at the end. Why not just chisel the whole basement floor?
@@mattyicee I assume because he already mined out the floor.
@@mattyicee because you can't chisel gravel. At least not into the floor he wants.
Most of mangos frustration coming from using Create for more advanced mechanics that even the mod creators expected 😂
Does that remind me of something? hmm...
@@avanittersum2156 redstone ?
@@minlrgo yeh or just vanila minecraft automation in general. it's what scicraft has been doing forever.
That, and breaking contraptions instead of picking them up with the wrench. Also, you can place the cart directly into the assembler, no need to let it roll into it.
16:22, Interesting solution I came to, have the rails be placed on top of the redstone blocks and use the same breaking system, that way you don’t need a second bridging setup.
1. Break the block under the rail - 1 block away.
2. Place a redstone block in the now empty spot
3. Place a rail ontop of the newly-created redstone block.
4. Pick up the rail using the plough
5. Drill the redstone block
6. Optionally, place a bridging block in the now empty hole.
@@modernkennnern, Or just keep the redstone where it is and put the rails on top of it.
@@Jaydee8652 I guess there's no reason the rail has to be on the ground, ye.. that simplifies it a lot. No need for a pre-breaking, and no need for a post-placing.
@@modernkennnern The idea that the rail doesn’t have to be on the ground was a eureka moment back when I first started playing, pretty much every contraption that involves minecarts not on a prebuilt track is massively simplified.
rails can be in mid air?
i think the reason the double placing was happening was because the deployers were facing away from where the machine was going. it should work if it faces any other direction especially the same direction the machine is going
It happened even when the deployers were facing down
It's probably bc minecart distance traveled is just more than 1 block like ~1.5 blocks which is allowing deployer to place another block
@@den4ikturbo824 he could actually use this to make the machine so much simpler by having drills mine every other block
Wow! An hour of content, this is gonna be great
I said the same when I clicked
same
I really appreciate seeing the whole creative design -> survival building process from start to finish, don't mind the longer episodes at all if it's needed to tell a complete story like in this case.
5:13 "I want smooth blocks, there are a lot of nice ones" while hovering over gneiss... nice
Already know the episode is gonna be good when it's an hour
You learned the biggest help of create mine art contraptions at the end. You can pick them up and place them back on a rail with an unpowered assembler to work on it again without having to break the whole thing down.
I continue to be amazed at your perseverance. I would have gone away in disgust multiple times if I had to break down the whole contraption and rebuild it every time something got messed up.
39:11 @ilmango the minecart assembler has a rotation lock setting, but it’s not default. Scroll with wrench on the assembler before adding the cart.
22:52 Manually breaking a raw stone block causes terrafirmacraft to send a cave in trigger, if you used a wood plank block or brick instead that cave in wouldn't have happened.
Small tip: you can place the minecart immediatly inside the cart assembler.
Creative + Survival is great, especially when the episode is that long. I actually like these longer episodes more, just like Docm's Hermitcraft epsiodes are always an hour long. Also it really feels like we are exploring the creative mod together with you and its really refreshing :)
agreed!
I remember my aunt had an apple tree in her yard with 4 different types of apples that grew from it because of her splicing and grafting three other types of apple branches to one tree. Never knew it was a thing and somehow TFC has it as a feature. I’m loving this series Mango and the lengthy episode is perfect for relaxing with!!
There is a man in Chidham, England who has an apple tree grafted with over 250 varieties. That's dedication!
It's kind of refreshing to see mango struggle with create stuff, atleast something he hasn't mastered yet.
Also I enjoyed this longer episode, mango's videos are always fun to watch
With the slice of raw stone, looks like a purpose-built cave-in generator, lol. 17:36
I would have given up half way Mango. I really don't mind the longer episode and you are right, ending the episode only with creative stuff feels like a cliff hanger and I certainly like to see the survival build too.
Thanks for all the work 😊
Building a contraption in creative and in survival on the same video is a wonderful trademark to have
To be honest, I don't mind long videos and seeing your process of starting multiple designs in creative and then testing it out on the actual game, changing bit, re starting, etc., is really, really interesting as well as informative. When I started playing Minecraft and started working with redstone, I'd start by finding a video I liked as well as making sure it was for Bedrock not Java. It was awesome when the redstone worked first time, but I had idea what was actually doing what. It's video's like this that I can actually learn from (even though I'm not using this mod at the moment). Please feel free to carry on like this, I really enjoyed it 😊👍👍👍👍👍
Ilmango climbing that tech tree faster than I can build a dirt house in survival 😂
Faster then I can build a dirt piller.... :/
Crazy that you finished this all in one episode! It seems like people are taking quite well to the commitment though. Btw, as someone interested in your unique builds, your commitment to the createmod utilites was amazing to watch you work through. It may have been your only option, but it was very impressive watching you link everything together!
Just a bit of cave water, no problem at all! Good place to hydrate!
This is why we're here. Taking your expertise from vanilla to Create is an awesome change for the modded scene
I love how you showed both the design and the building off it all in one episode! I really enjoyed this one. The bonus video time is also a nice bonus! Ty ilmango!
Very much appreciated that you "completed" the project in this episode!
And what an amazing machine!
What an amazing episode. Watching this definitely didn't feel like a whole hour at all. It's so interesting to see the contraption slowly evolve.
I love the design process you go through in creative, I feel like that one of the most interesting segments but I guess I'm the minority.
I think it is best that you see the survival implementation in the same episode too though
Windmill bearings will remember their state (activated/deactivated) when being moved, meaning when they rotate and get moved, they will autonatically start moving again...
If you can find a lava source and blow a fan through it, you could cook cobblestone into raw stone (also some kinds of raw stone into magma blocks). Also, you could try gluing a press and basin to the machine to craft the loose stone into cobble while the bore is running.
Very cool concept to mix piston and minecart contraptions!
In some times you should feel like making minecraft contraption is easier than slimeblock flying machines, but it does take a while to figure it all out.
5:24 "there are a lot of nice ones" as he hovers over the smooth gneiss block. Cant tell if that was intentional or not
I must be dreaming, this is the best series ever AND a long episode? Thank you so much oh my god
Loved the longer video! Thanks for sticking through the frustration to try to finish the basement. Fun to watch you think through the issues. Kindof hilarious to think you spent hours creating a contraption so you wouldn't have to right click blocks hahaha.
42:26 "EZ" 😂😂 intense logical thinking followed up by trashtalking a creeper
Never apologize especially for top notch content! This is how we noobs learn!
I am, btw, speaking for myself. I just got Minecraft like 3 months ago. I am learning.
It's awesome seeing your problem solving process using the create mod! No worries about the longer episode, we enjoy the content!
Thanks for doing both the creative and survival in the same episode!
If you were not already used to doing the impossible on SciCraft, I don't think you'd have pushed the skyblock so far. Having pushed the skyblock so far, seeing you do the same here feels natural. It's still quite the achivement.
AN HOUR LONG EPISODE LETS GOOOOOOOOO THANK YOU MY FAVOURITE FRUIT
I’m at the point in the series where I just pre-like the video because I know it’s going to be absolutely incredible. Love you long time mango keep up the incredible work.
What a really creative way of using create. This ATFC + Create is a crazy good combo.
I really enjoyed your longer episode, thank you for not cutting it off after the creative section. Using deployers facing up- or downwards should fix the double-placing issue (other directions might also work). Good luck with building version 2 :)
Another great episode!
I did think slimes spawned in TFC, but I thought it was only in the lower stone layer. Could be wrong though.
Prospect the walls and above you too! That's the benefit of prospecting underground.
9:00 Mechanical pistons (and other things that need SU) work "just like that" on moving contraptions. Im not sure how pistons would work in a contraption, but AFAIK they should, someone correct me if i am wrong
EDIT: why don't you pick up your contraption with the wrench? I know you know that works :D and then just place it down where you buildit, so that you don't need to reposition the drills you forgot earlier?
also my condolences about that creeper blast, that must've been frustrating :(
You are right, but i think he would run into timing issues as they are automatic when on contraptions. With vanilla pistons he can control exact timings (with exclusion of buggy behaviour). I think that's the main reason. Correct me if im wrong as well :)
I think the idea is that SU are created from movement, and contraptions are based on minecarts so they produce that movement for "free" as they move along their rails.
He tried to move pistons and they didn't move, but maybe if they are glued down?
I really like the longer episodes, even 30 minutes flys by for this series
A couple ideas for you I had while watching:
I use a furnace minecart to propel the contraption, seems to work great. I have a seat set up near it so I can sit and watch and add coal. I wonder if you could attach fans that would blow the blocks off the top to land on the ground?
Have a great day, and thanks for the awesome videos!
I love watching mango go through the exact same thought process that i went when i was designing my tunnel bores. If you wanna see one of them, i've made two or three short videos showcasing them.
LOVE the long episode !!! the entire series is great and am thankful for the regular uploads!
The amount of effort that went into this is crazy. Keep up the good work my dude
The longer the better! If someone complains it is too big they can just mark it and watch in two parts
You'll never hear me complain about hour long vids. Keep it up!!!
Haven't been watching the series very much, but this episode makes me want more. Defo gunna go back and watch everything now
Do it!! It's soooo good
You could replace redstone blocks with redstone torches on deployer. And you can add spinning sweeper on top of contraption to push item to the ground.
I appreciate the longer episode. It is nice to see the full creative process along with the survival struggles. 😊
I love to see your thought process. The creative parts are just as interesting as the survival. Loved the episode!
For the superglue @Ilmango you can put it in your offhand when building and it glues everything together
Hey mango, you can move lava sources by lava logging a chain and the attaching it to a minecart contraption, very useful to skip ahead without trying to get red/blue steel
Loved the episode my man! Not to worry about the haters one way or the other, do what you like best and I promise, ya real fans will enjoy! Lol
a 59 minute Ilmango episode. I didnt know we had cristmas in june this year.
I appreciate the hour long episode a lot, thank you!
Dang it mango,
5:12 while talking about floor blocks he says there's "lotta nice ones" as he hovers over the Smooth Gneiss block.
I see what you did there.
I'm honestly not sure if he did that on purpose haha
39:20
your minecart contraption assembler is placed facing opposite direction than your minecart is heading causing your contraption to believe that you are reversing instead of moving forward and because you have set it to rotate according to minecarts orientation, it's trying to flip 180 degrees around
*IDEA*
Man, I understood an easy way of getting raw stone. Just attach sticky pistons to the raw stone and let it take them out one by one. You can use create sticky pistons and mine them every time they get into your hands. So, there be lots of 1-block-width holes, you just need them to not to touch each other.
I think an create scematic can make sure, that the deployer places the pistons facing the right way. Like in Litmatica you can scan an area of blocks and create holograms. Normally you can then load an scematic cannon that places the blocks for you, but an deployer should work also. And again I think the rotation of blocks in the schematic should be taken into account when placing
edit: maybe it would be easier, when you instead of building a complex tunnel bore, you move a chunk of blocks with a mechanical piston or so towards a staionary machine
Love this series, love your gameplay, love the long episode, love the content!
I always love when you go to creative as well, you always seem to teach me so much about the game that I never would have known other wise. Keep up the great content!!!!!!!!!!
Create mod wasn't ready for Ilmango's genius craziness
That was a great episode! Survival, Creative, New stuff, Old stuff and 1h content😍
I will never complain about an hour of amazing content! Also I really don't mind creative it just makes a lot bigger and cooler things possible
Mango I would watch 5 hour episodes at a time of this.
i like the long episodes and welcome it. just love hanging out watching
Don't worry brother, longer episodes from you are bliss. So don't hesitate to make long episodes. Thanks for the hard work.❤
Mango i like all your content either only creative or only survival or mixed
I didn't know how much I needed a 1h episode of this series, thank you so much mango
Ilmango is the type of guy to "just have to deal with it, that's how it is" instead of building a smaller mecha, and have it work out.
I can't express how fun it is to watch the problem solving happen!
24:08 "There is a way to make a flying machine without slime blocks..."
Me: Time for glazed_terracotta!
5:14 "There are a lot of gneiss ones" :D
Accurate
That was the fastest hour I ever had passed, though I was doing stuff at home while watching.
It was an interesting experiment. There's always some glitchy things in MC, specially with mods, but there's probably some workarounds you might figure out experimenting a little more.
Fun challenge to try considering the limitations in TFC.
I believe instead of using a redstone block, you could just use torches and then use the same block that grabs up the rails to grab back the redstone torches. Although you would still need to make sure that there always is a block to place the redstone torch just like with the rails. But that should actually increase the speed of the contraption.
he mentions in the video that they can be washed away by water
Alternatively you can use redstone blocks as the material you bridge with, since you're collecting those anyways
Thanks for putting the creative parts and the survival parts. it was fun :) definitely worth it to watch.
Hey Mango, I always appreciate the effort you put in and the video style. A variation of survival, creative and long and short episodes is good.
A few ideas for the next contraption:
1. A roof. Deployers and drills to pick it back up.
2. A seat. Although not sure of they are craftable in atfc.
3. Use the wrench to pick up a contraption if it doesn't work properly. You can place back, either as an entity or blocks, depending on whether the assessbler is powered or not.
Can't wait to see your next crazy/genius ideas.
Really loved the long format!! Maybe not for all episodes but from time to time it’s really nice!
I love this format. Even though the vid is long i love that it has both the creative and survival build
Very entertaining episode ilmango! Good job on the tunnel bore :D
Just refreshed in hope for a new ATFC video! And it's a 60min banger, love these!
Just found this series. illmango playing a create series is like giving a nasa engineer an unlimited budget
you know this series is good when you instantly click that notification. keep it up, mango man
Amazing episode. There are many other content creators out there, but this is why we come to ilmango.
the scary part is, ilmago said he is getting better and better... xD can't wait to see what else he have in mind for us in the future
mango's content is so relaxing i literally fell asleep halfway through and had to rewatch this episode. lol
What I'm thinking is you should make a machine that digs the tunnel that leaves a slice of rock that's staggered (W formation, the next block alternating diagonally), then manually follow and mine the connecting blocks along that slice (front and back). Just a thought.
Glad you're finally playing with the crazy Create stuff
Magma under a downward fan creates a weak but portable powersource
I like u combining the creative and survival part. Good work!
I think that the drills on the front offset the tunnel bore machine so that the whole thing travels not necessarily 1 coordinate block at a time, and the deployers only place blocks at certain intervals, which is why they place 2 at a time
You're definitely getting the advanced tutorial on how to make a working world eater using the Create mod
