Why would he value having guys rest today when they have 5 days off starting in 3 days? This was a real head scratcher.
It wasnt really they have the division 2 games in front of cleveland for the best record who's btw playing the Astros they aint winning that series

i was at the game tonight came in the second inning we scored two runs and Pittsburgh tied it and went ahead. just a bunch of solo shots on their part overall i'm pleased despite the loss. Carlos was good until he gave up the homers and Kahnle gave up the go ahead runs that sucked.
I hope Tommy K. and the Yanks are aware teams in the playoffs are going to be aware of how many changeups Tommy throws. I would strongly suggest a better mix of fastball with that in mind.
I've never liked Kahnle

I need to go back and count how many times Boone has sat a player the very next game after hitting a home run the previous game. Sitting Stanton and Judge just messes up the flow. You want momentum going into the playoff. Already getting 5 days off which isn't helping. You're chasing the best record to secure home field advantage. Just straight up dumb. Then didn't even use any of them as a pinch hitter. Instead we get Verdugo not being able to drive in a dam run. Smh
Stanton is hitting under .250 . Sitting him for a game is not a big deal . But resting players now when they will have nearly a week to rest is assinine
Wins for a pitcher aren’t the best measurement of an “outstanding” pitcher. A nearly 4 ERA is a little better than average. Rodon is nothing special, certainly not “outstanding.”

What a horrible lineup..glad to see they aren't taking home field advantage seriously..with that bottom of the lineup and bullpen they're gonna need all the help they can get!
These decisions are just idiotic. Get the W, claim home field through the entire playoffs, and then give the players the rest. It’s not rocket science. It just seems like the urgency is so non chalant and it stems from the manager down.
