Hey everyone! This video by far gets the most comments and engagement out of any of my videos. I want to thank you all for tuning in and for appreciating all the good music that video games as a whole have to offer. We have a great community and it's always nice to hear people's stories and own personal experiences with these games.
Yeah and your welcome! i used to play animal crossing city folk when i was 8 on my wii and i wanted new leaf but i didnt understand i needed a DS so i got city folk instead but im glad i did! good times :)
So there’s an unrequestable song in new horizions that plays during a KK concert when you misspell a song name, that’s a kk slider cover of this (with it also being the wild world opening if I’m not mistaken) anyways I accidentally had KK play this and I C R I E D because city folk was my first AC game and I loved it to death.
One of his request-only songs is also from this, "Animal City"! It's the theme from when you visit the city! It made me so happy hearing it, it plays all over my town now
My family and this huge save file on city folk, but our old wii was scratching the disk. To preserve it, we decided to leave the town and not play it. Goodbye, Ticklevi. You raised me in animal crossing and made me love this franchise.
Hey dude, not sure if you're going to read this commebt, but if anyone else is in a similar situation, please look into modding a Wii. Its very, very easy to do (8 year old me did it), and it can allow yoh to install USBLoader, so you can play games without having the disc. UA-cam tutorials are very easy to find and follow, just type ''Wii mod tutorial'' in the UA-cam search bar.
so nostalgic just erased my old save me and my dad had all those years ago....I remember showing my grandpa how good i could fish on it when he came over and rolling giant snowballs in the winter...I kind of regret erasing it but you gotta move on... even though i might not have that save anymore the memories will always be there
you find your dusty wii in your basement and blow the dust off. you connect the wii to the tv, and insert the old city folk cd into the wii. you open the game, and the theme plays. you start feeling nostalgic. you think about the good old days where you came back from school just to play animal crossing city folk. you open your save file, and the town is filled with weeds. your favorite villagers have moved out and have been replaced with others.
I just did this with my mom's town from 2009. My parents had a wii from 2008 - 2009, and then abandoned it. I just found it, got all the cords, and then that was that. Their copy of city folk is long gone, so I had to pirate it, and I'm planning on buying it at a later date. Her town was called "MewHaven".
Same! But it was wild world. I just played it without being able to read, when they asked for my town name I thought they were asking for my last name 😂
One day, you picked your last weed, caught your last fish, watered your last withered flower, got your last 200 bell coffee from Brewster and saved one last time. You probably don't remember and neither do I. We wish we did though :(
Last time I played this... I was 7 years old. I'm 15 now. Then New Leaf came out... And now? Animal Crossing: New Horizons. I never knew how to play, and I was just fine with that. I had no thoughts as I was carefree. But I never realized the last time I would touch it again... Thank you. Thank you for giving me my memories back. All the times, all my friends, and horrible graphics xD
Never got to play City Folk...because...when I got the Wii....I just forgot about Animal Crossing.....also, I had to sell it..idk why though....I forgot....at least I played with Snake in Smash Bros Brawl....at least he and Animal Crossing return in the Nintendo Switch and SSBU (Super Smash Bros. Ultimate...)...the REAL first Animal Crossing games I got were New Leaf (data got corrupted, so we bought Welcome Amiibo...the only time I was mayor was after the game got corrupted...the game didn’t save, and I was never mayor again...when New Horizons came out, I, or Rinne, was the Resident Representative of Wallachia..) and Wild World...(don’t remember much of it...I did get a nightmare of Tortimer killing me...so...I sold Wild World....) yeah..that is all I remember....thank you Nintendo...for bringing Smash Bros, Animal Crossing, and giving us all good and fun memories...thank you too, Solid Snake....one of my mains.....(even though this place is Animal Crossing, not Smash Bros...) thank you.....
I think this was the first wii game I ever got at the ripe old age of 5 years old. I've still got my original town and save file, majority of the bugs and fish, and missing maybe one or two fossils. I'm so excited for New Horizons so my island can be named after my town and I can find my long-time villagers Static, Goldie, Purrl.... I'm pretty sure they have stayed for the entire 15 years I've had the game. Of course I don't play it as often as I used to but this game is always one of my favorites.
*As the nostalgia kicks in* :''') love this game so much and tbh this was the best opening intro ever I loved going on my WII just to hear this intro. Everything about Animal Crossing is perfect can't wait for New Horizons :)
I remember playing this until 2am in secret. I stopped playing for about 2 years, and I hopped back on to see that all my villagers moved out about 6 months ago. I used to find animal crossing Boring, but now it holds a special place in my heart. Thank you for everything, Nintendo. We have turned over a new leaf, and now we are reaching for new horizons. Thank you for everything. I just recently deleted my old save, my town name was even the name of where I used to live. Animal crossing is a good way to escape reality. I just miss my villagers yelling at me, the old soundtracks, the city, and mini-games. I regret erasing my file, but it was time to move on and step forwards. I remember finding my disc and my old wii. I cleaned it up, and put in the disc. I don’t play this one that much anymore but I have to give some thanks. Thank you for raising me animal crossing Thank you for teaching me about friends Thank you for teaching me how to manage money Thank you for being the start of my love for this franchise Thank you... for everything.
I think this was my first Wii game. I remember my mom being obsessed with it, and playing it constantly. She would play it on the tv at night to catch rare fish, and I remember listening to it in the background as I fell asleep. I Loved this game myself, and hearing its theme again after all these years brings a smile to my face. Those were better days, for sure. But with things like New Horizons coming out, it's good to know that just because the old days seemed better doesn't mean that there aren't good days to come. :)
The second I heard the first note, I got hit with such a huge wave of bittersweet nostalgia. My heart sank, a soft smile crept across my face and I really felt like a kid again... God damn, this hurts in all of the right ways..
The first ever Animal Crossing game I played... I think I was 6 or 7 when I first played it. I don’t remember as clearly as New Leaf, but I remember having so much fun with it. Animal Crossing will always be close to my heart. It’s the first video game I remember playing. Thank you, Animal Crossing. I’m having so much fun playing New Horizons as well, though I’m 14 now, rather than 8.
The memories this game and the music bring back go so much further then the game itself. Just the whole era around it. I was addicted to my Wii, found an online friendcodes comunity I joined and played this game, and mario kart wii with so many people from there. It were such amazing times! Sadly the site is gone, as well as the people I met from there. Got some of them on the Wii U, but it just wasn't the same. The Wii era was so amazing!
Bro I just shed tears thinking about living in my mom's subsidized housing complex, sleeping in the living room eating food-stamps-funded cosmic brownies and other shit just generally not good for children & hearing this half-asleep on loop. A memory no one but I will ever understand and I'm sad I never chose to share it with anyone
This is the entry I'm most nostalgic for, which is weird because it's the one I've played the least. But dude/gal you absolutely need to play new horizons, it might be the best one
I'm Italian (born in Napoli), a few days ago I was listening to this ost, when at a certain point my mother arrives who had heard me and says that it seems (especially at 0:10) the basis of a song by a Neapolitan singer ( died a few years ago') famous and loved throughout Italy called Pino Daniele, a true genius of Italian music (the song in question is from the 90s). actually I too had always felt something familiar from this beautiful ost. I told a friend of mine who is a fan of Pino Daniele making him listen to the ost and he too told me that it is very similar to his style. now I love this beautiful ost more than before.
I would always come home from school and play this game! It was literally my childhood game! I turned on my Wii after not using it after what seems like a YEAR, put in ACCF, and immediately got a taste of nostalgia. I know a year doesn't seem like that long, but I've played this game so many times, that no matter how long it's been, it would always bring me nostalgia! Running around my old CF town brought back so many memories. Even hearing the background music made me happy
I didn't play much of city folk. But I still remember the times when my brothers would play City Folk. It was a fun time! I can't believe it's been this long already
i rented this game from blockbuster when i was in elementary school (can’t remember exactly how old i was but i know was pretty young) and i played it for a few days before i had to return it. i barely remember actually playing this game but the music still sticks with me to this day. i wish i still had my wii u so i could play it again :(

This was one of the first video games I ever played, my grandparents got this game when it first came out, and I was only like 5 or 6 years old. When my family got our Wii, this was one of the first games I really wanted. this song is almost too sad 🥺 but obviously very good
I just got the disease of nostalgia
Still own my original copy on Wii. I feel like wild worlds theme had more instruments. This, WW and brawl on Wii are my favorite versions.
