@@CavieBirdiePack Rufus was about seven months old when I brought him home to my kitty, Tikiman, who was about one and a half. Never any hissing or barking. We introduced the dog by crate, first outside the front door for cat to sniff, then into living room. My cat is so casual with dogs entering the home (so funny and cute, right?), and my cav is a good natured sweetheart😺🐶💛
When I had 2 tri-color cavaliars, Madison and Morgan, they barked at cats, especially Morgan. I lost Morgan last Nov. to Cushings Disease. Now with just only Madison, she still barks but I think she would adjust. Madison is more personable with animal's .
I think appearance. They looked at cats like squirrels as something to chase because the cats were usually outside. I noticed that when she saw cats inside a house when she was outside she was a little curious. I think she would have made friends with them if Morgan wasn't influencing her. Thank you for the kind words about Morgan. I miss her everyday.
My two are like that with birds. When they see birdies outside they go nuts, but inside, they run away from my cockatiel. Same things with animals on the TV screen, but once they're in the house, they act very differently. Morgan was a character! My pack send you and Madison 💛
I don't let my Lilly close to stranger cats because I'm afraid they'll cut her in her eye and we don't have any known cats around us. 🤗Your cavs are so gorgeous❤️❤️
Thank you ❤ That is very smart! I only let my babies see Kitty because he grew up with massive dogs and is so welcoming of them. Cats can be unpredictable!
