i wanted to add as a ufo researcher not semi retired and former military....this is incredible material to say the least...and i wanted to offer if I may in hopes MIKLOS and his crew mates might see it someday this small appreciation of what is a viewed excitement by millions around the world for the Discovery Channel if indeed this becomes the biggest story....( one of the revealed ufo secrets ) in modern times...a short tribute:
To The Divers And Explorers...thy will and desire take you to your own peril by your own design. Careful.
In the lands of the Giant ( USA ), a land of Light, where there is now loss the dark Shadow's evil mirth... American Searchers not influenced by superficial tools of political trade in Washington have gone...Forward.
And explore into a place where Land had forgot Time, And had slipped from our Sight into the deep darkest shadows of Night. Something now is found Inside The Earth ...
Yes...some Thing. Something now is found Inside The Earth ...
an unseen hand has been seen reaching out...
to tie Its Self to the Now and links to an ancient Past.
A new breed of Men, Aquamarines... who risk all Dangers of the Sea ,
to bring all Obstacles to task to do the Explorers Will. Some Thing now is shown to them...
And those odds against It's Discovery are Much too Huge to even Contemplate...
At this moment in our Present Time (2018) Because of Their machines,
Their daring, Their Courage and Experience... The Land That Time Forgot Reaches...
It Reaches Out to Touch Us All ... from DERRUFO K.

Oh Darrell? FYI, finding an anchor does NOT in and of itself indicate a shipwreck. Ships lose anchors all the time. It's why smart sailors carried (and still do carry) more than one. Most ships of any size carried at least 4-5 and big ones as many as 8 or more. From the looks of that one I would date it to the 17th century myself. Oh and the irregular measurements also do not indicate hand forged, they indicate 200-400 years of corrosion and concretion-and even in Columbus's time they weren't 'hand forging' something that size, they were using trip hammers . . .

"The next step to verify the authenticity of this anchor is to take *detailed* measurements."
detailed. got it. we have to be super specific to know for sure it was from Columbus' ship.
"It should be *_about_* 12 feet long by *_about_* 6 feet wide at the crown and be *_kind of irregular in shape_* which means its of the *_Columbus era_* ..."
.....so, 'detailed'.....isnt such a concern because we arent going to find the actual ship its from but the era? why didnt you just say that to begin with?
....it was rhetorical. i know what TV is.
